@Emeify how old is your child? As for if the applicant can apply from Nigeria once trv has been approved, YES HE/SHE CAN. The age of your child will determine if you need a study permit for him/her or trv.

@mcobex, the child is 7 years old. Hope it wont look funny after it had been indicated during the principal's application that the child would not accompany her. Kindly advise

No effect, the principal applicant can apply for child and even spouse and it will scale through. The applicant can decide to travel to Canada first before starting the process or do it while still here..... The most important thing is trv has been secured.
When is the principal applicant resuming school?

Good day everybody,
quick question, during the application process, the documents you submitted were all photocopies right?, did you have to take it to a legal practitioner to get certified true copies? or can i just submit it like that?

Somebody Help!!

I am quite confused.

My sponsor is my Godfather and I have been assisting in running his business for the past seven months without pay. He is willing to sponsor but won't transfer any money to me now until I get my TRV. I am getting a reference letter from his company saying that I intern there but without pay. He is also giving me his bank statements (personal and business), company docs, employment letters and landed docs. We are also from the same state and can provide state of origin doc.

Please, what are my chances?

I looked at your profile and there is nothing I can see that you need to improve. On home tie? You have your husband as home tie, yet you were denied.

Travel history is not a major reason, after all many applicants have been approved without it.

Here, I'm thinking like a VO. You want to travel to Canada for MBA with 3 kids...how are you going to cope with them and your studies? Or you want to use it as an avenue to migrate to Canada? This is a VO thinking. With EE you would pay local tuition fee and your kids would have free education, yet you want to follow student permit route where you'll pay more. The VO is thinking why you dont want to follow this path with your 7 years work experience?

Anyway, it is your right to make a decision.
Goodluck to you and your family.

Good morning. Please how many weeks does university of Saskatchewan take to go through application and offer admission. Then how long does it take to finish the visa processing.

Not necessary you legalize them, but if you have enough cash then do it. All document will be photocopies except letters/document directly addressed to the visa officer (bank statement + letter of recommendation)

I don't want you to take this personal(cos its not), but why will such questions be asked here when you can easily visit the school's and cic website to get this info without any stress?
The earlier we start doing our own research the better cos things shouldn't continue this way.

Get your case file then we will see. But from your profile, I noticed you didn't mention if your intended programme is related to your previous programme and also your place of work. What is the relationship between the three? cos the vo ticked "purpose of visit" which is mostly ticked when intended programme is not related to previous one or working experience.

12 weeks after the deadline. Some cones earlier, and some later. Go to the departmental website or better still, contact the administrative secretary of your program.

Thanks soo much
Yes i included their birth certificates with their last term school result
Have never travelled before
I heard travel history wont be an issue if my SOP is strong
Please what do you advice i do to address that part
Can i explain have been tired down with work abd have not had the time to travel and just decided to further my studies
Please help me out on that
Because i intend applying once i get my notes
Am to resume in september

Hello @BoystoMen,

I think you should address travel history. Yes, you are right about the fact that travel history is not a problem as many have gotten study permits and TRV's with zero travel history.

But since it was flagged, if I were to play the devil's advocate as a VO, maybe they may be thinking that you are very comfortable, with so much money in your account you are a middle or high-class elite as you and your hubby is doing very well.

Then if that is the case, why have you not traveled out of Nigeria before for maybe work or a vacation?

Now you are considering traveling, why is Canada the first place you choose to go to? why not another country? Why can't you do an MBA here in Nigeria?

So addressing these areas in your SOP and may stating that your job hasn't required you to travel or maybe you have been tied down with work bla bla bla will convince the VO in your reapplication. This will also clarify the purpose of study.

Add this, look at your notes once it arrives, add other suggestions from other people here and you will be fine.

I wish you success.

On this issue if child will be accompanying you or not or will need a visitor's visa, I advise you seek advise with VFS. you can chat them up through their website and let us know what they say. The information here is conflicting now.

I appreciate your concern
But can you suggest what i can include in my SOP and LOE that will give me more chances
Since i was given oppurtunity to reapply if i can address the following issues
Travel history
Purpose of visit
Tie to home country and canada
Am waiting for the notes
But am putting up one or 2 things together before it comes
I appreciate

I have written on this before. A sound SOP must be well paragraphed and each must serve a purpose. It must contain the following:

Brief introduction of yourself, your academic background and work experience.

Your intending program, school, start date and duration.

Reasons for choosing the program. Reasons for choosing the school. Reasons for choosing Canada instead of doing the program in Nigeria. How will the program benefit you and your country? Narrow the benefits to economic, academic or career.

Is your undergrad degree related to your intending program or your work experience? This must be addressed.

What are your goals? Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Have your traveled out of Nigeria before? If no, why? Maybe your hobby is not traveling. Or your work doesnt allow you to travel. Whichever reason that applies in your case, give.

How do you intend to finance your studies in Canada? Scholarship? Self-sponsor? This must be stated with proof (SOA or sponsorship letter) shown.

Home ties: Are you married? Do you have kids? Are they going with you? Do you have investments in Nigeria like company, landed property etc? These are home ties.

Make a checklist of all the documents you're submitting with your application.

A well written SOP addresses all the denial reasons: purpose of visit, travel history, insufficient fund, home tie, asset & current employment situation etc.

Goodluck.
