Please while filling out the questionaire on CIC after opening an account with them, i came accross a question about work experience. They asked if work experience is an essential part of my study. I answered YES because the master of public health program at UAlberta has a compulsory field practiccum where students will have to go work in a public health setting to gain hands-on experience. After the whole questionaire thingy, they added that i upload a letter from my school confirming this or i upload my program curriculum to confirm this. Please am i on the right path with this?

Aallizzwellwole,

I'm afraid you've been given a 5 years ban. Kindly explore to countries like Malaysia, Philippines, Germany, Ireland, Cyprus etc.... and start processing your visa.

All the best!

Na wa for you ooh, so many misdirections. He may not have been given a five year ban, he should order his GCMS notes. That is the way he can find out whether he got the ban or not. He may simply have been denied on a different reason. Simply because a person got an administrative letter don’t mean when they are denied, they get the ban. Many are accused and when they respond, are denied on other grounds and do not get the 3 or 5 year ban. How did you reach this 5 year ban you said he got?

@Frankrobbn1,
At least I can read and I can see very well. If I was banned, it will clearly stated and they won't tell me to reapply if I can demonstrate that I meet the eligibility requirements.

Yes, you're on the right track. Send an email to your department to give you a letter to upload on CIC website.

It will be an attestation letter that you have been admitted to a program where a project/ Co-op work is mandatory.

Best.

If you observe the two letters you got are practically saying the same things. It is not unusual to get simultaneous notifications. My advice is to order for your Gcms notes. If it doesn’t indicate on the generic checked denial letter that you have been banned and it said nothing to that effect on the GCMS, it definitely means you have not been banned. You can reapply tackling reason(s) you were denied. If you successfully do so, you will be given your visa.

You don't have to counter anything, just apply for SOWP for your spouse and visiting or study for your children(depending on their age.
You can apply while still in Nigeria or better still apply as soon as you arrive Canada. Don't panic

All the best!

All misrepresentation case is a ban of 2 or 5 years. From your posts, it's an issue of SOA. Frank is correct according to IRCC laws. In your gcms note you will definitely see the ban. Your argument should be case/application review if truly there's nothing unusual about the said account. If there's something shady in the SOA kindly save your time & money and consider other study destinations before Canada. My little contribution

Please, in filling the application for study visa form, despite having the latest adobe Reader, I can't fill the form on my system. The spaces provided aren't clickable. Please how do I go about this? Or do I have to validate first before I'm able to fill the form?
Thanks for your anticipated replies

Hello Team,

Please where is the list of hopefuls?

Also, I have a daughter ( I am single) but I included her details but also put her address as the UK because that is where she stays.

Hope that is not an issue?

Not true!! It’s another things to be accused of misrepresentation and another thing to be found to have misrepresented. That is why there is a fair process allowed by law for anyone accused to defend themselves. Many are accused of misrepresentation and successfully explain themselves and do not get a ban. I believe this is the case with the asker here and the GCMS will reveal that beyond the reasonable doubt. I know someone who was accused of misrepresentation, responded to the procedural fairness letter he received and did not get ban, but CIC went on and denied him based on purpose of visit. He is planning to apply again and tackle purpose of visit. Please let us make sure we handing out accurate information on this platform, not rushing to judgement or saying things we know nothing about.

Yes you are absolutely right, this is usually the case. But I have seen a case where that was not checked on the generic refusal letter and the only way the person found out he was under a ban was when he ordered GCMSsmiley
