With all the arguments that I have read. I think Assurance will solve 70% of partner/driver wahala.

It will even help us reduce cross carpeting and reduce the number of drivers who come on board

Business is business bro.. They should be protocols and structure in any business you do. That is my point bro, and never mix family, or friends with business the chances that it will end bad is pretty high.. Why would I give my car out to a driver without doing the basic, background check, guarantor, reference, address of driver etc.. My brother let us think ahead and not behind... this is the reason African business don't pass on from generation to generation... partners need to do their due diligence when looking for drivers.. That is my point, whether the driver swears he is the best driver, u still need to follow basic protocol before hiring him ..
He didn't say he didn't do due diligence... There are people you would bring as guarantors and it would just make you weak. For example if I bring a Lagos State Permenant Sec as Guarantor. You may not be bothered about some due diligence. Thinking ahead... Let me share something... A family got a job in a big firm without submitting any certificate. She was invited and was put to test on what they need her for. She performed more than the Oga... They employed her even gave her appointment letter without asking for certificate.

Nothing is guaranteed in this life.. The purpose of protocols is to reduce your risk factor.. I don't want to be disrespectful o, did u ever take risk management in school .. Now back to the matter for the driver owning me last week, which is another story for another day.. The guy finally called back ,he said when he wanted to make a transfer at the bank. The bank called Effc on him ..because a fraud wired transfer pass through his account, the money didn't enter is account, but it was pass through his account.. So he was picked up by Efcc ,so he called us to explain what happen to him. He still trying to clear his name, so for now the case is still pending till further notice.
Now back to protocol ,the first time the driver owned me the 10k ,if I had put in place the assurance clause at the time , which I didn't think of or have . I think I will be OK by now ..because of that experience I decided to start asking for assurance deposit.. Now if u were a good student ,you would have noticed that I stated that assurance deposit does not solve all the problems, it will help reduce it ,just like car insurance.. So what protocols does is to weed out bad drivers.. If you trust a driver so much ,why do we have tracker in ur car.. A tracker is a form of protocol now abi... think with an open mind bro ..it is a jungle out here .

Not so sound like i know anything about English so i will rather ask you because i notice you prefer to use "owning" in all you post when you want to refer to a driver "owing" you. is this deliberate or there is something right about it i am yet to learn. Thank you

I'm too blessed to fall a victim ,God got my back since 8months on the platform .

You all just copy and paste, 2 very suitable guarantors for what exactly? even bank loan worth more than your corolla will not ask for 2. so one is not okay? ask those partners that their drivers have defaulted if they ever had any dealings with one guarantor , how much more two, you better ensure you get a good driver than all these formalities, i have just one vehicle on rental and the driver has been excellent for over 13 weeks now despite being a newbie in the uber business.

its just luck and God bro.

Are you looking for trouble with the person that post the request or do you really wanna know why asking for Guarantors before giving out your car is VERY important.

And please tell me how exactly you will know the well behaved driver in your presence is a good driver.

Would like you to educate us, how to recruit good drivers since you know better.

N.B - My partner driving the car on Uber & Taxify is exceptionally brilliant with excellent driving record and takes very good care of my car like his own but I still don’t have a step-by-step process on how to recruit excellent (Not good) drivers.

Referral are the best form of recruitment anywhere in the world. Even big conglomerate and multi-national companies prefer referral than direct recruitment. You can hardly go wrong with referral.

If my current partner, refer any other driver to me, believe me I will not collect Security Deposit from the new driver before giving key to a car. That’s how exceptional he his.

So except for referral from trusted and excellent driver who I have worked with, all procedures must be followed during fresh/direct recruitment of new drivers.

You just jump to post without reading properly, I never said there's no need for a guarantor, my problem is why 2 guarantors just for taxi, even bank, as a loan officer for over a decade, we never requested for more than one and now it's even easier, loan are given without any.

lol. It’s not about checking of tracker. I use myself as an example, I drive around a lot to hunt for request. I can’t stay one place for hours waiting for request. That’s laziness. I fill up my tank to d brim. Your partner should not judge u by tracking your movement. It’s about sales

Doublecheck:
Well, it's a scam, drivers don't fall for it. If that Oga is for real he should reveal his office, identity, showroom, partners, uber drivers or bank that he is working with nobody on this thread is anonymous only then can we gladly get to know him and appreciate his kind gesture and certify his philanthropic moves as credible.

We all know one person or the other on this thread. Who or which reliable fellow on this thread can speak for him not a new moniker, and why will a total stranger want to help a driver from slaving, what happened to his family and friends, drivers don't forget the popular saying "who you epp" nobody will give you nothing you don't deserve "work for".

Drivers don't be penny wise pound foolish, don't fall for this Uber ponzi that is about to blow fowl (Driver) yansh. Better stick to your partners, fleet managers, or better still as Oga dru always say get a bank loan, than lose the little you have saved because you are running from assurance. Drivers you know what they say about a bird in hand.?

If the Oga dey vex make e come beat me I dey my house.

Lazy Nigerian yoot. tongue
He said he is not asking for a penny. Atleast let's be sure b4 calling him a scammer. Remember, anything is possible in this 9jeria..
