Avengers infinity war is the movie people thought black panther was. ( 8/10)

The premise of Strangers (2008) is based on true events, the plot not so much.

The premises of the movie was based on strangers knocking on a targeted house and coming back later to finish them off. I don't this happened in reality.
Imo, this movie is 1% true, 99 bobo juice.

Death Wish - 6.5/10
Cool to watch Bruce step up this time but I've kind of seen better revenge movie eg The Law Abiding Citizen.

What exactly were you trying to say here? I don't understand.

Not a fan of the genre either, but the SAW franchise is pretty special. It's an adrenaline pumping, grotesque lesson in the most creative and sadistic ways to maim and torture. It's pretty disgusting but fascinating in a f**ked up way. I mean, I often caught myself secretly wishing for dem sadistic contraptions to rip the victims apart even as I'm simultaneously hoping that they'd break free from their shackles. F**ked up, right? grin SAW does that to you.

That scene ehn! It's right up there with the moment Leo got shot in the head in The Departed. Completely expected and random.

It's not fuckéd up at all, the emboldened is 100% how I felt watching SAW. It gives you contrasting feelings; one minute you're feeling pity for them, yet you're eager to see how mangled the contraptions will leave their bodies looking like. cheesy

Other horrors that come close to shaking my cynicism are:
- The Shining (best horror ever... better than the novel)
- It follows (gave me the creeps. I often caught myself looking behind me absent-mindedly several days after watching it)
- Final Destination franchise (most creative and weird ways to die violently)
- Don't breath (the tension is so palpable it was as if I was there with those teens hiding from that blind mean modaf**ker)
- Get Out!(My goodness... words cannot describe my horror at this masterpiece. That twist is genius, I didn't see it coming).

If you haven't watch those, try and do so ASAP. They're clearly above the generic rest.

I've never heard of The Shining till now. Someone once gave me It Follows but I never watched it because I'm not a huge fan of horror. But I'm going to download and watch both movies hopefully before Tuesday next week.

I enjoyed Final Destination series. All of them. Final Destination series are probably the only horror movies I enjoy and look forward to the deaths in it because its creativity in the killing spree. grin

Bro, do you know I've had Don't Breathe for almost 2 years now in my laptop but everytime I keep procrastinating, saying I'll watch it the next day, at the end I never will. Same thing goes for Cloud Atlas. These two movies are on my laptop screen, but I've never been encouraged to watch them for 2 years own. I just checked out the rating of Don't Breathe and it's high. Positive reviews all round. I'm finally going to stop procrastinating and watch it tomorrow.

Get Out is nice, creative and not the usual run of the mill horror movies. Such horror movies are a joy to watch. The twist was shocking, especially when it's revealed the girl was among.

A Quiet Place - 8.5/10

Cargo - 6/10 A slow movie angry

Fahrenheit 451 - 4.5/10 Makes no sense to me biko. And quite similar to Equilibrium (Early 2000s)

I knew both Cargo and Fahrenheit 451 were going to be mediocre especially Fahrenheit 451. Thank God I never fell a victim after extensively reading the reviews. cheesy grin

When I wanted to download the subtitle for A Quiet Place, I kept seeing 8kb, 4kb, 5kb. I was confused because subtitle files are usual around 20-something KB and above. Had to download over 8 subtitles and all were the same. I was disappointed. Then I decided to try it anyway while about to start watching the movie and hardly saw them speaking or the subtitle displaying due to no dialogue. Few mins into the movie the reason why the subtitles files were small hit me and I realised I was the one wrong all those while. grin

A Quiet Place. 8.5/10. Solid movie. Very captivating and wonderful concept.

There's something very disturbing about 'It Follows'. I've not gone beyond the first 5/10 minutes of the movie because it has the vibe that is very off putting. It's still in my laptop but I just can't bring myself to watch it

This is not a scary horror movie. Few parts will scare ya, or just have your heart racing. It's not grotesque.

Fun facts about A Quiet Place.

John Krasinski, Emily Blunt's husband in the movie is also her husband in real life.

Millicent Simmonds, their daughter in the movie, is also deaf in real life.

You know Oyibo na, they allow their celebrity wives keep their maiden names while still married to them. As for the teen, she's their daughter in the FILM NOT IN REAL LIFE.

Edited : oops. I wrote their real names not their names in the movie.

I think it's a case of different strokes for different folks because Ready Player One is a solid 9 or 8/10 for me. Maybe because I'm a gamer too. While the Proud Mary someone up there rated above Game Night is a crap movie. I still regret why I watched that movie when it came out.

Proud Mary 3/10. I'm even being generous.

The Shining is one scary modaf**ka... right up there with The Ring. Try and watch it, and make sure you're alone and the light switched off for maximum effect. Hehe cheesy

Don't Breath is not your average kind of horror. It's a suspense-filled survival roller coaster - an haunting hunting. When you watch it, you'll see what I mean.

Mehn... better put your thinking cap on when you watch Cloud Atlas, because that movie will scatter your brain. I have not seen a more convoluted storytelling in my life. Geez...

That movie is not for the faint hearted oo. It has a creeping kind of horror thingy going on. The kind you won't stop thinking about it after, and you'd find yourself not been very comfortable in darkness as you used to be.
