Nididi is out injured so Joel is favored to start. Simple.
you think if ndidi comes back it is Joel not onazi that will go to the bench?

With Ndidi present Joel will still start ahead of Onazi. No mid-fielder apart from Mikel and Ndidi can keep Joel on the Bench.

With the likely lineup already known, I'm hoping to see the following sub

Ebuehi for Shehu Aina for Idowu Omeruo/Awazeim for Balogun Ogu/Agu for Joel Musa for Mikel (Iwobi moves to AM) Simmy for Ighalo..

If Aina does get to play, he might b dropped if he doesn't do better. Agu and Ogu case is quite interesting...

Joel is up against Ndidi and Etebo(Box to box Midfield position) and not Onazi

Onazi is up against Ogu (DM position)

Mikel Agu is up against all of them. The most likely to be dropped.

Why Etebo is highly favored to make Russia is he is also back up Winger and AM.

If Simon doesn't make Russia Etebo deputises for the wingers.

grin grin, I think he needs to calm down, Joel of old was more calm in his play, this current version na jam body things oh.

You are right. If he is not carefully, he can cause us a game if he gets a red card but I don't think he will be starting ahead of a fit Ndidi.

Until Algeria and Argentina game Agu was ahead of Ogu in the pecking order, so, I won't be surprised if Ogu is dropped.
So Agu merits it more? Hmm

Ogu should be dropped for Etebo who performed in the La Liga and for Agu who played in the Turkish league because Ogu plays in a lesser lowly obscure league. grin

He's not a future prospect. grin

Let him work harder and his time will come. grin cool

This Croatian team is concentrating 100% of their attention on Nigeria. I won't be surprised if they have someone sleeping at the Super Eagles camp sef. Are they forgetting that they can beat us and still NOT qualify? Are they forgetting that they lost to Iceland in the Euro qualifiers?? And would lose to them again in Russia if they don't pay attention!

This their obsession with Nigeria is becoming a little annoying sad

O pari

i think we need to do same

If SE can perform the way I did yesterday, We will win today's match convincingly.
Energy, creativity and agility were key to my performance and I finished with a smile of victory on my face. I knew I just did very well... And I hope to see it in our team today.

If it were to be a real football match, the score line will be like 3-0. or 3-1

Although I'm not a footballer but na me b man of d match lol . No ask me anything o

Iheanacho is the best player for that role in that team. That is what he does naturally.

Yes situation may arise, but that doesn't make it a first choice option.

Ebuehi fan number 1 na im I be. Was just pointing out the obvious. Bengine and I were the two persons who stoutly defended Ebuehi here after that match. I'm not one of his doubters but one of his promoters (tomorrow now dem fit say I be agent)

i believe today is the day Ebuehi will claim that right back position...i see shehu struggling with pace of sterling.

No point. Aina had his chances.

I prefer Rohr starts our Starting 11. Rohr should be almost done with his experiments by now. Time to gel the starters together. No much time again.

Aina will get a chance in second half

Also, the one he (Onazi) made to Iheanacho for the 4th goal against Cameroon in Uyo.

One thing here is when you don't like a player you easily over look his positive contributions.

Likely. My point is not starting him because he has a point to prove to the English fans.

Going by the starting line up we have seen here for the game, Rohr is parading his starting 11.

Based on years since debut na senior baller for eagles

Against quick players, Shehu will struggle. He is not quick of d blocks, unless he sits back without supporting the attack. I'm not also comfortable with his positioning. Most times at d wrong side & ends up committing a foul. Today is d 1st exam. For those saying Ogu will be dropped. I laugh, Ogu brings what Agu brings + goals & aerial power. It will be difficult to drop such a player.
Aina & Agu dey go home. Oh i forgot Aina is home already .

Let's see how it goes. In the Serbia match the commentator said Nigeria is soft at the sides. Hope to see us play with grit especially the full backs. Cos even the Croatian scout has taken note of our softness in that dept
