@bolded,

You're so ignorant and this is a terrible way to show it. You need to acquaint yourself with the Royal family official engagements & understand their positive impacts across the world, especially the third world countries.

They are also heavy stakeholders in charities across the world. They help to strike business deals as well & more importantly they're a symbol of identity for UK.

The Royal Family contribute to the GDP of the UK.

Nigerians that readily and happily dip and roll themselves in pit latrines in the presence of even filthy moneybags are also criticising a prime minister for bowing to a crown prince?.... This same Nigeria where a large part of its population is willing to suckle on the asses of men of God gods of men?

Meanwhile was it not a 90 years old OBj, a military general that was seen lying face down in front of the 40 year old swagger dude of Ife?

The OP posted a tweet from just one human being, an agreived American charlatan. A Trump loving, Obama hating, right-wing nutjob who has a history of racism and hatred towards the European Union.

The British peoples love their royals and this much was evident during the last Royal Wedding. Royalty remains the most assured bond of the United Kingdom and represents the last bastion of protection for democracy and sanity in that country whenever things seem to be heading toward the extremes. The Brits are a very cultural people who pride in manners and gerontocratic respect, something the rather brash Americans are unfamiliar with.

A poll conducted as recently as February 2018 confirmed that over 80% of Brits favour monarchy and therefore the Royals are not leaving anytime soon irrespective of what ideas silly Trumpsters have up their arse!!

A class in history will tell you all you need to know about the contributions of the Royal family. They're an asset. Did they dash them? If they decide to abolish it they can BUT they won't. Some countries like France got rid of their monarchs yet a good number of them regret that decision today.

I have just read a lot of thrash from the younger generation regarding the British Prime Minister's greeting approach. For God's sake, this is respect for royalty, history, and culture at play!

One of the reasons the world is a worse place to live than in the past is the ignorant, daft, thinking by the younger generation (40 and below) that everything steeped in the past regarding culture, tradition, and history is bad!

When has showing due regard for royalty become a bad thing? When has deferring to culture become outdated, old, dirty, and unworthy?

One nincompoop, irritating nitwit wrote somewhere that he would greet an Obi, Emir, Sultan, Igwe, Oba stretching his hands first, be at the same level, and look at him straight in the face. I replied: "Go ask your father/mother how it is done".

The world has gone mad...

Haughtiness, pride, 'chip on the shoulder', materialism, etc will kill this generation of young people!
you just entered my mind and stole what I wanted to type..
on point!

The custodians of a territory like the British Empire (England, Scotland and Wales) deserves all and more respect than this.

This people (and infact their families) should be acknowledged and respected for their role in keeping that territory safe and governable for these long time.

It is good to have powerful people and families behind the scene that serve as a brace the handle the shock of political ups and downs. Such are the shock observers that ensure stability.

Does her greeting not keeping up with her society?

Do the technologically advanced Japan that still bow while greeting, not keeping with the needs of the Japanese society? Are they losing their essence through that mode of greeting?

As you can see from the screenshots, the people of the United Kingdom are losing interest in this aspect of their culture, which signifies that this particular society is primed for cultural evolution. The Japanese society may not be primed for such evolution and this is inconsequential since there is not reason why all societies must evolve in the same respect simultaneously.

"The people of the United Kingdom' could include immigrants with access to social media .

As an Englishwoman, Theresa May has every right to greet royalty as she deens culturally appropriate.

There is no basis for suggesting that the people mocking her are immigrants with access to social media. Does Glenn Greenwald sound like an immigrant's name? You are reaching beyond the realms of reason to invent an argument.

In any case, we are talking of culture and its natural evolution, and not rights. Of course Theresa May may greet the Royals any which way she chooses, which in fact has nothing to do with what we are talking about, which is the compulsion to do so in adherence to culture.

Culture evolves and will continue to do so whether you like it or not.
