This can be achieved when parties start turning their backs on defectors.

Start it in 2019 post Presidential elections. Tell people to register with party latest by 2021 otherwise you won't be considered for a post in 2023. Once the 2 party establish the reputation for not encouraging defections, it would stop with time

my happiness is that unlike 2014 it was SE/SS vs the rest of Nigeria which Jonathan managed to get 10 million votes plus

Imagine 2019 the Buhari's north, yeroba Muslims vs the rest of the country including the kwankwaso Atiku saraki etc north
