I am still very surprise that Nigerians are yet to recognise how amply blessed we are. What do I mean? My wife and I had our first child November 2008 and after a while we decided to go for spacing which we did eventually. It is normal it is just gravity what goes up must come down.There is no cork or cover there will keep some from spilling out.
That is why after you are done try and lay down for some minutes with a pillow under your butt so it can help some of the sperm slide towards your cervix.

I stumbled on this thread by chance and I took the pain to read through all the post and articles. We have something in common which is TTC. Let me start by saluting your resilience, your courage and determination to start the thread Arlington. You are really one in a million, a genius. I also dough my hat for every other person who has shared their experience on this forum, what you did for others, God will do for you all. And I pray that as we enter 2011, this thread will be filled with our various testimonies in Jesus Name.

I never knew it could be this hard trying to conceive. I got married early this year. My wife and I decided to take it easy for the first few months apparently because ours is a kind of long distance courtship. So we decided to gel together for the first six months of our marriage before TTC. Since about August 2010, we felt its time for us to make conscious attemp at TTC but since then its been a bit difficult moreso due to the influnce of the in-laws, (both sides). I dont know, what can we do because the pressure is becoming unbearable. What is the first step in all this tests / medical interventions?
2nd, where can we get this Ovulation Prediction Kit of a thing in Nigeria? I,ve been trying as much as possible to stay healthy and maintain healthy lifestyle, no cigar, alcohol, etc but I think we've just not been lucky yet and I believe the kit can boost our chance.

I started having this abnormal pains below my lower abdomen since lastwk and i always have fever in the midnite, my last period was on the 12th December 2010, and av been having intercourse with my husband since after my period. Am TTC for 8months now. What could be the problem?

With God all things are possible.
I got married in November and my wife got pregnant the following month December. one day she saw blood and started getting worried. She saw signs of miscarriage. At that moment I remembered a story told by my Pastor about the experience of Bishop Oyedepo when the wife was pregnant and later saw blood, Bishop Oyedepo was reported to have told the wife that she cannot have miscarriage, that that child must be born. Today that child is married. When i remembered that story I also prophesied to the womb of my wife and she conceived and gave birth to an handsome baby boy.

Now, that same God who answered my prayers and gave me a wonderful male child will at this moment perfect every imperfection in your womb and give you wonderful children. This year 2011 shall mark the beginning of your motherhood in Jesus name. I call you Mama twins now in Jesus Name.

Thank God for this thread,if nothing i can come and vent.

In my last post i complained about heavy and painful period and that the last one was particularly very painful

I went for an ultra scan and it was discovered that i have a 3cm fibroid but the doctor did not disclose to me if it was hindering conception. He also did not tell me the position. I have decided to get a second opinion on it.
One very funny thing the doctor said was that "age was not on my side"(am just 30), can you beat that?

Anyways,my question is,how dangerous is a 3cm fibroid?

Hello laura did the doc not give u a written report if not its best u go for a 2nd opinion in a good hosp or radiological centre a 3cm fibroid will affect conception most if it is submucosal unlike if it is subserous which would rarely affect there is also intramural type u can read up more online and look at pics it will help u understand and as for time on your side well guess what he may be right cos its best for a woman to hav her 1st baby before she is 30 but don't mind him there is a lot of time please don't use clomid oh

@laura202 - 3cm fibroid is nothing to worry about - i have 3 and one of them grew to 9cm during pregnancy. Depending on where it is it will not stop you from getting pregnant

@Labella12,thanks for youradvice. I have no intentions of using clomid. In fact i am praying fervently not to go thru any procedure. By God's special grace, i will take in naturally and give birth naturally.
