Ah, ok. I was fixing my fiance photo myself, got a good big high resolution photo of him and his baby and made the white background, centered the face and fixed the size exactly what is needed (not retouching the face, it's prohibited). I am also sure in Lagos there is a photography studio taking photos to American standards, somewhere close to the embassy but even them sometimes don't do it right. Ask around, good photographer or a graphic designer will do.

Meanwhile, I discovered that the Code on my DS-160 is different from my Appointment confirmation page. I sent a mail to them this morning and they responded immediately that they have rectified it. I logged in now but I dont know how to reprint my appointment confirmation page since its not giving me the option. Please help. Thanks so much.

Yes you can. As long as its less than 6 months old. I also used the passport I used while filling the DS-160 form.

Go to your profile page and click on the appointment date. You should see an option of printing or sending the appointment confirmation to your email.

Yes their receptionist are poor and rude, I experienced the same from them but their doctors are professional and very friendly... You will love them.

Any US citizen or legal resident who is willing to sign he/she will support you financially for 10 years if you have no job or you go on welfare, it's OK, doesn't matter the state. But, if it is a friend of yours, not your American fiance(e), it can put you in trouble, more investigation and longer administrative process. It looks like your American fiance(e) doesn't care and you are doing all for your visa, maybe even paying, too desperate and not very real. Usually the American fiance(e) runs to find a sponsor. US embassy could ask many questions

sorry i'm just seeing your post. Took just few hours. You can send the mail to support@ustraveldocs.com. They will respond asap. Tell them the barcode on your DS-160 form is not on your interview confirmation page. Secondly its not your fault sis. The fault is theirs.

No, you are OK. My fiance was in the same situation. If you have your interview date scheduled, your valid time is automatically extended but be ready to travel fast after the interview if you are approved, US embassy may give you a very short time to travel.

Dear, I am very good with American law and I did K1 visa for the same person twice. K1 visa process is very complicated and many people make mistakes, then it takes money and time to correct it. I am just trying to help people here and wish them well.

You can also call and email the Lagos Consulate, to let them know your situation. Just to be on a safer side.

For the information of anyone that may find themselves in a similar situation and to confirm the responses of @Angela777 and Select500 to my original question, I received the email pasted below from the U.S. embassy this morning in response to an email I sent to them about a week ago on the issue, to wit:

"We advise that applicants schedule an appointment before the expiration of their petition. It does not matter if the appointment date is after the expiration of their petition. If applicant does not take any step towards the commencement of the K1 visa processing by first scheduling an interview and allows the validity of the approved petition to elapse, then you may thereafter consider filing a fresh fiancé petition"

You will pay for yours and each of your children under the K Visa Category. This is because you will fill the DS-160 form for each and everyone of them. Then when scheduling an interview, you will become the principal applicant and include their names as co-applicant.

Guys, I'm now in the States

I entered the States (Dallas Fort Worth) with a one way flight. Was anticipating having issues with the airlines and was ready for them. Was ready to lecture them on what K1 Visa means, lol. But I didn't have any issues at all.

I made sure my medical envelope was in my backpack. When we arrived, I was directed straight to the CBP guys who took the envelope and tore it right in my very eyes. I was directed to a room to wait. I met like 5 guys there. After a while, it was my turn and they gave me back my passport along with a yellow form (I think it's for agric quarantine) and took me straight to the luggage section where I'm to claim my luggage. Was told to go straight to the agric section once I get my luggage.

Luckily my luggage was not searched. Was only asked if I came with fresh seeds which I said no. I only had processed food which have been partly cooked and/or grounded. So they just passed my luggage through an X-ray machine and let me go.

And that was it! My finacee was waiting for me on the other end. It was so emotional for me.

Thanks guys for the active participation. I promise to still keep in touch. This visa journey is a continuous one. Will always keep you all updated. I enjoin us to do the same too.
