Hello All. Please Help.

I finished my form filling and was rightly redirected to the TLS website for Appointment Booking.

First, the earliest I could see is April 23, that's no big deal. The problem here is that I'm using Self Service and from info I've read, I think there's no additional charge to that. But once I select a time from the available times under Self Service option, the portal still gives me charges at then checkout, denoting that my selected time is a chargeable service, while it didn't bring the chargeable service notice on the Time Confirmation YES/NO pop up.

I hope someone here understands my plight and can help me asap.

Thanks.

Justwise and all!

Hello all, Kindly assist me as i am a bit confuse here.
I recently got a 2 years visitor Visa to attend a one week conference and i hope to go back to Uk again around November for a 2 weeks short course in London Business school and consult, i was advice to obtain a "short-term student visa". My question is, does it mean i cannot use my Visitor Visa for the two weeks course, should i apply for the said short-term student visa before i could attend. Very professioner contributions, please!

Lagos Ikeja.
I already forwarded a message to TLS via the contact us page, but I'm afraid if it's going to take 3 working days to respond as I read earlier.
The portal dey charge me for self service time selection and I've read that the centre is an FTU
I don't know what might be wrong.

See snapshots attached.

Maybe you keep scrolling right.
There's a right pointing arrow at the right edge of the dates, that brings you other dates.
You may try that.

You don't need any visa for short course less than 6 months. You can use your visa for that when u get to UK

I opted for self service also when redirected to TLS website. I initially selected 8:00am as my appointment time but a charge came up. The reason was because it was tagged "prime time". I had to select 8:30am which had no charge on it. I advice you check for a time that has no tag on it, thereby, you will pay nothing.

It seems nothing might be wrong. If you look closely at the different time slots available, you will see an arow close to the time. That arrow indicates there is a price tag tied to the schedule. It could be the use of "Premium lounge". What you have to do is to check for a time slot that has nothing attached to it. I hope this helps to answer you questions.

Thank you bro. I do grab your point.
I guessed that too, but my fear is I didn't see a time without a price tag, just like in the screenshots above.
Could I be missing on something, that all times shown are tagged?

Modified

I've successfully picked a date FOC. Thanks to all that contributed.

Hello house...
I applied for a priority visa and had my biometrics last week Monday. Till today, I am yet to get any email from UKVI or TLS apart from the one I got the day of the biometrics. It's already over 6 working days. Need my passport asap. Pls what do you advice?

You are not missing anything. It seems like it's a calculated attempt to still get you to pay for their services. I encountered same but was fortunate to get a time slot without such tags after series of search.

Yes, was denied UK visa. Made a mistake in my previous application in march which I corrected and then re-applied almost immediately.

I guess that's why there's a delay?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ozymes: 2:29pm On Apr 02, 2019
Yep on the basis of using priority service

Ooh. Thanks. Does this mean that if it was a regular service application, there might be no delay?

I chose to do priority now cos I have an exam in exactly a month's time and I need to know my fate asap.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ozymes: 4:38pm On Apr 02, 2019
Not really Priority has T&C or a Caveat: Your visa application is possibly no longer being considered under priority... IMO

Hi.
Of the truth I can't explain how I got about that time, I guess that portal is basically different strokes for different people.
I got my FOC time after randomly clicking and subsequently amendung all times, the very 13.00 that I picked has a tag (which denotes specific charge) on it, I was surprised I didn't get charged upon time confirmation and checkout. I don't know if the portal just felt that my problem was too much grin grin.

Keep retrying, bro.

However we have a compulsory contributory scheme of 50k amongst the Doctors in the hospital. I delayed collecting mine till next month which is 500k (10 doctors). Pls can I get help on how to arrange my applications and break down of expenses to avoid the ECO saying am spending above my earnings. Am married with a child.

Thanks house

From my opinion, it could be they are having challenges on their site with this "self service" thing. I suggest you continuously visit the site to search for a time slot that meets your need. You might be lucky to get one free of charge.

No.. He got only the mail from the UK Visa Section.
I will advise you go there for your passport
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Cutiestalex: 12:10am On Apr 03, 2019
If you have been refused unjustly and you think the eco wasn't fair enough.. I advise u don't reapply.. Just go for judicial review.. You have no right to appeal or administrative review but a good immigration lawyer can work magic. I got mine overturned today.
