It depends on the portion of the bible you read.
I am very teachable and ready to learn. Mind quoting any portion of the bible where Christians are enjoined to attack leaders (which in this case includes Presidents)?

The most gullible race on earth are black people
the European and arabs ruled and enslaved them through religion, (Jesus and Muhammad( the same thing the so called man of God in Nigeria are doing today. The Nigerians government always work with the pastors and imam to plead to theirs followers to be patient that jesus and Muhammad will soon return and to respect the Government, regardless the hardship they are going through..

2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 12But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

When u and the Senators were criticized to tell us how much is your total monthly pay and total emoluments for the 4yrs u spent as a senator, did u disclose it? when also the Senate was advised to reduce their Humongous salary and allowances, DID u SHEHU SANI lead the campaign against your fellow senators?now u choose to want to speak against what Pastor Kumuyi said,it's only a fool or dummy that will listen to u and take your words, u are just a typical Nigerian hypocrite who speaks against something that doesn't favour you to draw relevance and attention

ahahaha see this one !!!! how long have you read your Bible if you are even a Christian? see let me Nathan rebuked David, Samuel rebuked Saul, Elijah rebuked and condemned Ahab , even john the Baptist condemned herod ! now I have never see kumuyi condemning the Fulani's killing in the country why hmmm it seems has lost the respect I have for him because he has lost his Bible memories.
I may not be the best bible scholar, but from the little I know, Nathan never insulted or used abusive words onDavid, neither did Samuel use filthy words on Saul, nor Elijah on Ahab. There's a clear difference between criticising a leader and outrightly abusing the person. You should go and read your bible again.

Criticising a person does not mean you hate the person. Kumuyi is wrong just like he was wrong about so many other things. His church members are religious slaves.

What exactly is Shehu all about?... athe man seems to loose it sometimes. Did Kumuyi threaten to arrest anybody for insulting leaders?

Of course anybody has the right to criticise or even insult anyone they wish to insult but whilst that is okay in the law, does it necessarily mean it is okay in the sight of God?... Last time I checked, Kumuyi was speaking from the religious perspective.

The man of God said Jesus is our example if am not mistaken.

Then Jesus attacked the leaders of his time and call them names.

What do you have to say about that?

Buh d President is allowed to abuse U calling U lazy and indiscipline abi quote author=Yankiss post=78963104]Nigerians may express their views. But abusing Mr. President is not proper. Whatever, he is still the father and face of our country until the Supreme court says otherwise. [/quote]

Any pastor that is not for the people forget it nah scam. It amazing how all these pastors turn a blind eye to what is happening to in this country. They have travel far and wide and see how good it is to have good country unlike ours that is so behind in everything. Kumuyi is human, he is fallible like every other person, respect or not, called or not, the moment you see nothing wrong in this government and the moment you start telling people to stop talking either constructively or not is also in support of the evil affecting the masses. A wise man once said All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke). And one said pray! Prayer without working is death on arrival. Simply Kumiyi is an enemy of the people and enemy of the people is an enemy to God

Shehu, attacking the president and speaking your mind are two different things.

Kumuyi was/is right!
Na because you never experience Fulani herdsmen or your family members. Go ask Kadaria Ahmed.

Don't worry, when it happens, pray for the president.

Nigerians mostly, I must say are abysmally lacking in constructive criticism and democracy would not flourish if the criticisms are like that.

So, Sheu Sanni is the party that still has to shut up undecided

GoodBoi1:

Alright Sah. I don't argue the scriptures but if you are ready to learn, I will coddle you.

Turn your Bible to 2 Peter 2:10. There? Alright.

2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

From the very clear portion of the above scripture, those who despise government(which includes the president) and who are not afraid to speak evil (that is attack) dignities(Leaders) are declared to be walkers in the flesh and its attendant lust of uncleanness! They are not Christians.

The bible didn't stop there. It went further to adumbrate on the gravity of attacking leaders. Let's read verse 11 and 12.

2 Peter 2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

The Bible, in portraying the enormity of the impropriety of attacking leaders, says even Angles as mighty and power as they are don't attack leaders(railing accusations against them).

I leave you to see how the Bible severely censured those who attack dignities(Leaders) and all the unsavory names they were called.

2 Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Nobody is asking or stopping you from insulting leaders as you like. The preacher simply just told you what's in the bible; if you feel bad about it, direct this your question to God.

what kumuyi is talking about is that we should not rebuke the government or the leader but keep quiet under the authorities that's what he was saying and Mr kumuyi have never condemned the killing of Fulani's for once. intact Mr kumuyi should keep quiet when they were calling Jonathan names where was he? is a shame to kumuyi.

Another slow brained tribalist vomits his nonsense. Who is a yoruba to you and what has this got to do with tribe?

Like I said before, nobody stops anybody from insulting anybody. But there's a difference between criticism and outright insult. The preacher simply quoted what's written in the bible. If what he said angers you so much, direct your anger to the God. And quit your foolish tribal nonsense; I'm an Igbo man.
