Congrat to algeria for the win
That akpeyi of a guy shouldnt be our first choice, he is below average.
How will u take chukwueze out for henry.
He should have substituted ighalo for henry.
Welldon iwobi, u did ur best, no thanks to u ekong for giving the opponent some error passes even though u knew our defense is fragile.

Man, I was jittery in the first half. grin grin grin

I knew we would play much better in the second half, but Algeria almost took us to the cleaners in the first half. It was painful to watch.

Mahrez took our left back to the dance floor. grin grin

First things first. NFF has to sack our Coach. He's not good enough.

A coach who still doesn't know his first team players, and first team formation should look for another job. I mean from the world cup to this point, it's not good enough.

Akpeyi is a very poor goalkeeper that's widely known.

Apart from our defence, the tournament also exposed Ndidi. Ndidi I was hoping would use this tournament to push for a move to Man United was totally abysmal.

In my own opinion Ndidi was the best in that team through out the tournament.

Bro, u re right
The thing wey pain me pass is seeing them making thesame mistake in every match nd as a coach u couldnt proffer a solution to it.
Iwobi and chukweze re the only threat for the Algerian team and they (Algerians) re aware of that, that is why chukwueze wasnt given a breathing space at all, u will notice when the boy was substituted they started pushing out. Thats a team that have studied their opponents game. And we should have done thesame too, that coach just brought in the boys without a game plan. Even musa is absent on the pitch.

The part in bold was one of the most annoying things in this tournament.

Exactly, you're right. It felt like we hadn't seen them play before. They were all over our guys, pressing football like Ajax. Just the way Fabinho was on Messi at Anfield, they didn't give Chukwueze that opportunity to breathe.

That's wrong, they pushed out from the blast of the whistle and formed something of a tunnel of players around Chukwueze.
Rather, we dwelled too much on their game plan without perfecting a counter for it i.e try to nullify them and forget your strength. Something we did against SA and it worked
We also left their CBs breathing space (because our midfield had to retain shape, in fact poor pressing from their third down to the middle.

In all, this is football, its not robotic. All tactics has its day. The coach disappoints sometimes but we take it and move on.
This isn't the thread for football

Nigeria’s Proforce gets first MRAP export order

Erwan de Cherisey, Paris - Jane's Defence Weekly

Nigerian defence company Proforce has signed a contract for the sale of 20 of its new Ara 2 mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles.

The Ara 2 is being produced for the Nigerian Army. (Proforce)

The company did not wish to disclose the name of the customer, only acknowledging that the purchase was made by an African country. However, a source with knowledge of the deal told Jane's that the client is Chad.

According to the same source, the deal was finalised in June 2019 and deliveries are expected to begin before the end of the year in successive batches of five vehicles.

Chadian interest in the Ara 2 was reportedly prompted when Chadian President Idriss Déby observed Nigerian Police Proforce PF2 armoured vehicles in Abuja during a visit last year.

The NA should place order for not less than 100units of ARA-II

300 units minimum in my opinion. So we can replace a huge number of the technicals.

I also think a lighter version should be developed. Something that can deploy Strike units.

Also a 6x6 unit like the Titus from Nexter an armed with a 20mm should be a priority.

We deploy more men with a larger version, and have considerable firepower to provide firepower in distances of up to 5km.

I'm quoting Jane's though. None of the information is from me.

I also think these versions were not included. I think the army got 4 of these.

Yes, something in the range of the Reva MRAP.

A 6x6 all wheel drive version would be the absolute deal breaker.

I remember the first Ara prototypes made with feedback from some guys here on improvements which was picked up rather quickly by Proforce and modified. Over time, with other battlefield lessons, we have this.

I hope the army can learn from this and not rest on improving aspects of their vehicles regularly as Proforce. Criticism don't always mean hate.

I doubt it's"cheap". Its my honest hope that the mix of vehicles in the northeast would have a higher number of Protected mobility.

I don't think attrition would allow for it. The Reva MRAPs did not last in NA service at all.
