So what did the PDP replied the Yorubas with? Wike clearly told them they are inconsequential in PDP and he made sure no Yoruba man attain that position.

You all clapped for him, isn’t it gonna be good also if the Yorubas lay claim to APC and tell the Igbos to find their salvation in PDP since the SE region is also dominated by PDP

I think the only strategy Igbo politicians need to have is one with the agitation of restructuring or seccession. The dirty Nigerian politics of backstabbing, betrayal and evil to get to the center will never be suitable for Igbos. These characters are natural traits of Yoruba & Hausa masses and as such Igbos can never compete in this.
Igbos from what I see mostly dominate in a merit-based competition. So the best thing Igbos can do is sabotage the Nigerian politics and leave it for Yorubas and Hausa fulanis to fight it out. Let's see who can play more dirty at the national level.
What if secession is not possible are we going to continue spoiling our chances till the end of time?

You think the Yorubas care who the Igbos vote for?

Azikwe, Ekwueme, Christopher Ugoh, etc. have one time or another aligned with the Fulani north as VP to the detriment of the Yoruba nation. The Yorubas actually don’t depend on the Igbos and the SE do not dictate the life the Yorubas will live or not.

In 2023, A Yoruba man will contest for presidency, we don’t care if he win or loses coz right from the inception of Nigeria, the Yorubas have been in opposition politics and we’ve learnt how to survive. We only came to the mainstream in 1999.

If Igbo like they can give the slot to the fulanis or gambaris, it’s none of my concern. Since the Igbos are coward that dare not seek presidency position from PDP which they helped nurtured, the Yorubas won’t choose that path.

Are we clear?

I would have said 'Yes we are clear', if not that you made wrong assertions. e.g Hausa fulanis and the SS have nurtured PDP more than Igbos have. PDP was founded not by the Igbos.
Igbos are no cowards. History has proved it, they are only choosing what is in their interest just as Yorubas did in 2015.

So there should be no form of name calling, Yorubas do what they want and Igbos do what they want. Yorubas should stop calling Igbos names cos they decide to support the north same way Yorubas told Igbos to stop calling them names when they supported the north in the past. Everyone is clear.

Okay clear.
The final conclusion is that both tribe should do what they want without the other calling them out.

Igbo should form alliance with the North like they’ve always do if they like. It’s their choice.

Yoruba should form alliance with the north to achieve their interest too if they like. It’s their choice.

No, Keep on sabotaging the politics between Hausa fulanis & Yorubas and watch them fight each other for power and destroy Nigeria with their own hands.

Hausa fulani and Yoruba love will keep on growing as long as they have an active opposition in Igbos, but if they have none, they eat up themselves, while you pick up from the spoils of war.

What do you mean by sabotage? I thought you said we are clear.

In 2019, the Igbos lined behind Atiku a Fulani Muslim from the North.

In 1993, the Igbos line behind Bashir Tofa, a Fulani Muslim from the North.

In 1979, the Igbos lined behind Shagari, a Fulani from the north.

In 1960, the Igbos lined behind Tafawa Balewa, a Fulani man from the north.

The alliance between Igbos and the North only broke in 2015, when the Yorubas entered the mainstream politics due to the ACN merger. Why wailing when we just borrowed the betrayal template the Igbos have always used against the interest of the south?

And don’t say OBJ was Yoruba presidential candidate coz the SW clearly voted for Falae in 1999 in their majority while the Igbos voted OBj to spite the SW.
It’s akin to the SW voting Okorocha as Igbo president when Peter Obi is on the ballot. You get the drift?

But there was a time 5 out of 6 APC governors in the SW were Christians.
In the middle belt, most APC governors have been Christians.
How is this possible if what you say is true?

APC has shown hatred, lopesidedness, favoritism and prejudice to Igbos and Christian minorities right from the inception. How do you expect people to gravitate to something that pushes them away?

Lies Lies Lies and Lies! Oyo, Ogun, Kwara & Osun had muslim APC governors, so when did that 5/6 ever happened?

In the middlebelt only Benue & Plateau does APC ever give a christian their ticket because they know that muslims are a small minority in both states. Meanwhile in states like Taraba, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kaduna and even FCT senatorship where christians are the majority or a 50/50. APC must present a muslim candidate.

I am from Plateau central and do you know that APC produced muslim candidates for the 2 house of rep positions in my senatorial district? And the thing is that both constituencies are at least 75% christians. Don't even say what you don't know before I go further to embarrass you with facts.

Let’s look at all the SW govs today under APC
Ogun-Abiodun- Christain
Osun- oyetola-Christain
Lagos- Sanwo-Olu- Christain
Ondo- Akeredolu -Christian
Ekiti- Fayemi -Christain

Kwara is not in the SW and APC just won there after decades.

I think for Taraba and the rest, while you may be on to something, it may be wrong to assume it’s deliberate strategy because of the Fulani agenda.

Has desperation taken you to this level? Since when did Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola become a christian?

And I don't really understand what you mean by your last paragraph, what do you mean by fulani agenda? How is that an excuse to APC giving muslims the ticket in Taraba (a state where 70% of the people are christians)?
What about Nasarawa, is it a fulani agenda too? It was the turn of Nasarawa north to produce governorship in the state and Nasarawa north senatorial district is like 80% christian. PDP who has always given their Nasarawa ticket to a muslim gave it to a christian because of this, while APC still gave it to a muslim.

Stop misinforming people with false facts because you abuse their senses when you lie. You have the great option of keeping shut if you know nothing.

Besides, APC giving a muslim the ticket in Ondo or Ekiti knows it would be a very foolish decision cos muslims are a small minority in both states. That of Lagos came because of the huge national outcry against APC in 2015 claiming that Lagos (a christian majority state has never had a christian governor).
Ogun too is a christian majority state.
Oyo & Osun are the real koko!

What is even your problem you this Igbo guy claiming middle belt. You’ve all around the thread trying to attack the Yorubas and now you’re trying to drag the Yoruba into your religion madness.

When did APC even started that you’re tryna paint it a Muslim party in the SW. are you even matured at all before driving the Yorubas into this rubbish religion craze that have bedeviled the North and SE.

APC got into office in 2015.

They also had Oyetola, Ajimobi, Amosun, and Aregbesola who are all Muslims.

Hey stop the rubbish there. I am a Plateau man from Tongzong, Gindiri district, Mangu LGA. If you think I am an Igbo, then that is your problem and myopic bigotry. Go through my profile since 2013 when I joined nairaland and see my posts promoting the middlebelt and even opposing the Igbos when they interfered. I stand for the truth and not take ethnic sides.

SamNaijaboy was the one who brought the topic of APC producing christian candidates in Yoruba land, not me. So face him and not me. I wouldn't have discussed it if he never brought it up.

And like I told Sam, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti & Lagos clearly have a christian majority, so it is nothing special if APC produces christian candidates. The question is, has APC ever produced christian candidates in Oyo & Osun or Kwara where the population is 50/50 or muslims are slightly more? Answer this question or cover your head with shame.

I like the fact that you yorubas try to put religion away from politics, but unfortunately for you Yorubas, you are a part of Nigeria where religion plays a major role in politics in other regions. You can never be exempted from the influence. This is the price everyone has to pay for one Nigeria.

Firstly, APC started in 2015 so you can’t expect them to rotate the governorship across all religion in 2 terms and with my comment up there you can clearly see that Christian dominated the APC governors in the SW since 2015.

The sample period is too small for you to attack APC whether they’ve produced Christian governors and that shows your lack of insight or maybe you’re purposely behaving like an ignorant fellow.

In 2015, Aregbesola was a governor under the defunct ACN, do you expect APC to tell him to vacate the seat coz they needed a Christian Governor?

In 2015, Ajimobi was the new governor under APC merger and it’s also foolish to say APC purposely gave their ticket to a Muslim.

You Mentioning Kwara shows you are a bigot coz Kwara is majorly Muslim like the SE is majorly Christians. Why can’t SE also have a Muslim Governor?

Lastly, you and your folks should stop the rubbish of bringing religious divide in any Yoruba enclaves coz we’ve learnt to live as human and it’s always yoruba first before any religion. You can continue to wallow in religious animosity in the Core North, NC and the SE.

Automatic ACN candidates in 2015. Ok, why wasn't it done in 2019? Since Oyo & Osun states are like a 50/50, after muslim tenure of 8 years shouldn't it go to a christian?

Kwara is majority muslim, but it is at least 35% christian. Can you mention 1 LGA in the entire southeast with a muslim majority?
Mentioning Kwara doesn't make me a bigot beacuse in a state like Taraba which is 70% chrisitian, your beloved APC still presented a muslim candidate. Who is now the bigot between me and you? You who supports a bigoted party or me?

Like I said, you yorubas are paying the price of a one Nigeria (which is religious division).

Today in Abuja, Gbagyis and other middlebelters are being scammed and kidnapped in their own land for rituals (by mostly Yorubas & Igbos). This is a price they have to pay for one Nigeria.

You cannot eat your cake and have it.

They will fight the Yoruba for presidency while they give them the VP, while we don't get any, and you are OK with that

How can they fight the Yoruba for Presidency and still give them VP? If they and the Yorubas are not in good terms, common sense should tell you they will naturally shift to the Igbos or the SS. They must have a southern partner to achieve their goals.

And the people shouting Biafra, are they not voting? Didn't they vote this year and give Buhari a run (if not for the rigging) with all the Biafra shouting?

Reason why I love the south west, brave and tactical and civilized set of people.

If the government don't go there way they strategize to bring it down.

But in the south east Aka Igbo land if the government doesn't go some peoples way they start shouting secession and Biafra, making others see us as a joke

I am an Igbo guy but to me that's a cowards way out
I doubt if you're Igbo...you should look for your origin
