Why would a state concern itself with building a worship centre?

To think AkwaIbom recorded the highest unemployment rate in Q3, 2018 (NBS). I am sure they’ll still be in Top 5 currently.

Fûckers!

Lol the comparison is apt. Who else budgeting billions for a chuch? Did the people express their displeasure on social media and at the state assembly? They overwhelmingly voted for these clowns. Dont start making petty excuses now.

The idea for this project was thought up in Udom's first term. He had the ground breaking in his second. Akwa Ibomites were not hoodwinked.
It's even more painful that they are using the church to dupe the state join, it will cost about 600k to per seat of the 8500capacity.
State go carry from tax to build church, still tell the tax payers to donate from the remaining fund with him for same church building.

Well, this is a religious center and its not a church. Its might not be what people wants but its not as if its not relevant at all.. Akwa ibom have been having religious activities in the stadium, deeper life have hosted program in their stadium and others churches due to the fact there are not adequate space big enough to host church.. Gospel artists can hold their shows there and moreover Akwa ibom host yearly christmass carol in the stadium which this facility can take the pressure off it..
You can sit down to criticize but you are no diff. if you sit in that position.

Nigerians are the most religious,
but least Godly people on earth..

Most people that champion religious
causes, all have their shrines & babalawos
for rapid results & dealing with
perceived enemies.

And what concerns you

Your muslim governors in both the north and south spend more in building mosques and sponsoring pilgrimage or quaran recital competitions.

Akwa Ibom is Christian. If you don't like it go and die!
Yes Akwa Ibom is a Christian state as opined by you however their leaders should use their brain. Building a tourist attraction to attract investors would create more jobs, improve the standard of living and even result in building edifice building via contributions from certain Christians. Would it be wrong if they improve the football league to compete with EPL? Do you know how they generate from that alone.

Trump is a Christian? Lolz.... Speaking ignorantly with an imaginary affirmation is a comic relief. You're so funny!

Trump is Presbyterian sir and yes he is a Christian. Voted mostly by Christian evangelicals and he doesn't fail to acknowledge or make policies that favor them. That you can cook up big English doesn't mean you make sense.

Lol Akwa Ibom states religious zealotry is comparable to the jigawa. They're one few states who are willing spend state funds build a religious center. Akwa Ibom could have used that money to improve the water supply to homes but that's not a priority. Why provide a real service to the commuity.

Compare how much they're spending on a church to the water supply. They're cutting the Akwa Ibom state water company's budget. Its the same story with rural water budget. Dont worry they're ready to collect your tithes and offering very soon.
In as much as I don't support both states building religious centers, 5bn for 1 church and 139m for 90 mosques, Akwa ibom is in a league of its own

In his book Mein Kampf and in public speeches prior to and in the early years of his rule, Hitler expressed himself as a Christian.[6][7][8] Hitler and the Nazi party promoted "Positive Christianity",[9] a movement which rejected most traditional Christian doctrines such as the divinity of Jesus, as well as Jewish elements such as the Old Testament.[10][11] In one widely quoted remark, he described Jesus as an "Aryan fighter" who struggled against "the power and pretensions of the corrupt Pharisees"[12] and Jewish materialism

Ernst Bergmann (1881–1945), German philosopher who in his work, Die 25 Thesen der Deutschreligion (Twenty-five Points of the German Religion), held that the Old Testament and portions of the New Testament of the Bible were inaccurate. He claimed that Jesus was not a Jew and of Aryan origin, and that Adolf Hitler was the new messiah.[14]

We actually have a lot of extremely corrupt atheists. Religion is never the problem. Lack of common sense and wickedness is.

He probably doesn't send his own kids to public school. Its funny how religiosity blinds some people. Who cares about other services like schools, water, fire department etc.

Speak for yourself dude. There's plenty of other projects to tackle like increasing water utilities but you're not concerned with development.
