asanwafo: Big fool. From Appointing Nsima Ekere to bankroll Governorship / Presidential elections to putting Akpabio to supervise the ND commissions, does that not show the intentions of those in power? The real president Abba Kyari is no more now, all the cards are tumbling down. Olodo. Don't apply critical reasoning. |

LGA Chairmen loot LGA resources Governors do same Senators do same Reps same Ministers, Councillors, Commissioners, DGs, MDs, contractors etc. See, all level na same story! The problem is Niger Delta are the elites, backed by ignorant masses. Same with the problem of Nigeria as a whole! A decent society would demand prosecution of ALL those involved in NDDC fleece since its creation in 2001, including President Olusegun Obasanjo, his successors, all past MDs, All Past Chairmen, all past board members, all past Executive Directors, all past contractors, supervisors, staff, contractors, NASS members involved etc. Not these Shenanigans that they arr doing. lexy2014: You expect people allocated contracts and reaping benefits to the detriment of the wider population of the ND to speak up? If there was seriousness in dealing with the issues in the ND, known looters will not be put there to control affairs/fund reelection and good oversight will be done on the ministry. Nsima Ekere was going for governorship and given NDDC as a cash cow. Akpabios EFCC file is withdrawn and he is given the ND ministry to oversee the affairs as a reward for "delivering" needed percentage during presidential election and losing out on the senate. What else do they expect him to do than recoup his expenses when he gets there? 2 Likes |

Hee hee hee! You wanted Edwin Clark, whose private university (Edwin Clark University in Delta State) was built 70% by NDDC funds to talk about corruption there? And you wanted the other loudmouths, aggressive, so-called "Niger Delta activists", such as Eva, Asari Dokubo, Madam Anko Briggs to talk about the same NDDC they got millions of Naira and US Dollars from over the years? Truth is, the elites of the Niger Delta have destroyed NDDC, the same way they destroyed its predecessor-agency, OMPADEC! They ALL stole billions from NDDC without shame in the last 20 years. The other day, I saw FAAC and other specialized revenue allocations to Niger Delta states (especially Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, and Delta) since 1999, and I shook my head seeing the squalor and poverty in these states! We should give credit to Buhari, in spite of his own failings, for providing the environment for the forensic audit, which led to the opening of this Pandora box at the NDDC!!! 4 Likes 1 Share |

mrvitalis: John Manager the south south senator who cornered hundreds of NDCC contracts was voted in by whom? Tompolo who made billions from NIMASA was appointed by whom? Look my friend, corruption is not ethnicity conscious. The Delta is a captured region first by the Federal government, then by militants and after that by the NDCC and elected officials. Many of the people their have been "Stockholmed" and have no idea that there is any other system. The North can never do what locals do not permit. Maturity is accepting reality. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Until we Nigerians from every language and religion begins to appreciate people with high moral values aandnd competence rather than religion and nepotism ; until we make move and take action against people with immoral values and questionable characters, even if they are are our blood relations. I fear for this country. Even if we break into smaller nations there will be serious war and blood bath in many of the newly formed countries because of corruption. Imagine the serious riot that would have occured if Niger Delta if ND has been its own country. Although such war will later bring good governance at the expense of innocent lives. PLEASE PEOPLE, LET US VOTE WISELY EVEN IF IT IS AN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE IN 2023. What is wrong if you did the right thing once without any influence of tribe or religion? From now let us be on the look out for a candidate who can take action against these evil people in government. Someone who can boldly appoint men of high moral standard and values into powerful positions in government - this will have a good chain reactions of the beginning of good leadership in Nigeria 1 Like |

Yes, it will lead to reprisal attacks from the supporters of Akpabio and his tribes men would want to fight back. I am telling you. Remember what happened sudan ? |
