Nigerian singer, Wande Coal, has denied claims of abduction leveled against him by his babymama, Tope, who claimed their love child was taken away from her by Wande’s mom after he impregnated her at age 16 and made her drop out of secondary school, back in 2008.

In a statement issued today, Wande said: "I want to start by saying that the only truth that has been said so far, is that the child is my son. Everything else is a lie.

I honestly do not want to say much because at the end of the day, this is family and Temitope is the mother of the child, but I must clarify a few things she has used to attack my character and the reputation of my family.

She has failed to tell the public that she did not tell me she was pregnant with my son. She married another man and claimed that the child was his and she never told me.

We (my family) only knew about the child after her husband and others, including her aunty, found out the child looked like me. After we confirmed that the child was mine, my mother visited her and everyone agreed that the child needed a better environment.

My mother took the child and her sister to our house for a week. After that week, Temitope left and has not returned since to check on the child. In 2011, my mother reached out to her and told her that she was disappointed in her.

She promised to come visit the child. She never did. Temitope was in a "fashion school" which she left for reasons best known to her. Not because of the baby as she was married to someone else.

My mother paid for a full session in another fashion school to make sure she had something to support herself. She stopped attending three months after she started.

If my mother didn't want to see her, why would she do that for her? I must also clarify, that when I knew her, she was 20 years old. My parents are respectable and God fearing people. Temitope, stop telling lies.

A court of appeal sitting in Ado Ekiti has directed the freezing of the account of Ayo Fayose, governor of Ekiti state.

The court allowed the appeal filed by EFCC against the judgment of Taiwo Taiwo of federal high court, Ado Ekiti division.

In 2016, a federal high court sitting in Ado Ekiti set aside an earlier order of a federal high court in Lagos empowering the EFCC to freeze two Zenith Bank accounts of Fayose.

The court had ordered the EFCC to immediately lift the freeze order on the two accounts belonging to the governor, saying the anti-graft agency did not follow due process.

Taiwo had given the order while delivering his judgment, which lasted more than two hours, in a suit filed by the governor through Mike Ozekhome, his counsel. The judge said the rights of the governor had been infringed upon, considering the circumstance of his office.

He declared that apart from the immunity which Fayose currently enjoys as a sitting governor under section 308 of the constitution, it was wrong for EFCC to freeze his two accounts in apparent perpetuity without first investigating him or making him a party.

He described Fayose as “a genuinely deprived person who rushed to the court to seek constitutional protection”. The judge said it was also the duty of any presiding judge to protect the said constitution and its interpretations whenever the need arose.

“The plaintiff is entitled to be heard before his property or money can be seized; doing otherwise will amount to denying him fair hearing and constitutional rights,” he said.

An Oredo Magistrates’ Court in Benin, Edo State, has ordered the remand of a 50-year-old man, reuben Enosegbe, and his 16-year-old son, Destiny, for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl.

reuben and Destiny had been arraigned before the court on one count bordering on unlawful carnal knowledge.

The prosecution had said the offence was committed in the Oredo area of the state.


The offence was said to be punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code Cap. 48, Vol. II, Laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria, 1976, as applicable in Edo State.

The accused had pleaded not guilty to the charge, while their counsel, Nicholas Omobude, urged the court to grant them bail.

But the presiding magistrate, Efe Akhere, said the matter was not under her jurisdiction


The case was subsequently transferred to a family court where the bail request of the accused would be considered upon resumption on April 21.

The court, therefore, ordered that reuben be remanded at the Oko Prison, while his son would be taken to the Children’s Remand Home in Ugbekun, Benin.

According to a British based Nigerian facebook user, Pharrel Mitchell, the South African Police Seevice(SAPS) allegedly kill a man nicknamed Skye in Roodepoort, South Africa yesterday Monday April 9.

According to him, the officers of SAPS shot him dead and hid him, but later ran away when they saw people watching them.

Condemning the xenophobic attack on the Nigerian, Pitchell wrote:
"When will the gruesome killings of Nigerian by the men of SAPS stop. The is a Nigerian known by the name of Skye that was shot dead Yesterday in Georgina by men of Florida SAPS. They shot him dead and hide the body only for them to see that there are witnesses, then they decided to run away leaving their vehicle behind. It was the witnesses that alerted the other Nigerians about one of them being killed. All of these unnecessary killings have to stop. Three people lost their lives in Lagos, at Ilasa Bus Stop, Apapa- Oshodi Expressway when an overhead road sign fell on a moving vehicle after it was hutted by a truck this morning.

This unfortunate incident claimed three lives while many others were injured.

A twitter user @silkpetal_ sharedbher shocking experience she had with an online hair/wig seller.

According to her, she had paid for the hair which was supposed to arrive in 2weeks, but it didn't, and when she got the hair 6weeks later, she wasn't satisfied as the hair is not like what she saw online.
