We al know what will happen here, people here not only feel that obi is the most competent but they also feel that they have been obviously marginalized for so long. Atiku will come second because people still vote PDP here.

This is the most unpredictable region, kwara and kogi will give Tinubu votes, Abuja and Benue, Plateau , Nasarawa will give Obi votes, Benue, Nasarawa and Niger will give Atiku votes.

Here's how this will likely pan out. Most calculations do not factor in the nationwide of existence NLC and TUC, major stakeholders in the Labour movement. The same people who mandate the nationwide strikes we have all witnessed pulled the ears of several recalcitrant Nigerian governments.

Northwest +-20 percent

Now, if it does go to a runoff, it will be between Obi and Atiku.
Obi will win Southeast, Southsouth, Southwest, and North Central.
Atiku will win North East and North West.

The simple majority of votes thus cast will accrue to Obi, and he wins.

Nnamdi Kanu: Appeal court ruling may affect Peter obi – Adamu Garba

An ex-presidential aspirant of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, and now a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Garba, has reacted to the Appeal Court’s ruling on the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that the Appeal Court had discharged and acquitted Kanu of the terrorism charges levelled against him by the Nigerian government.

A three-judge panel of the appellate court ruled that Kanu was illegally extracted from Kenya by Nigerian agents in a process known internationally known as extraordinary rendition but which rights experts define as an abduction.

The judges held that the Nigerian government could not charge Kanu for any offence in the country until federal authorities explained how they moved him from Nairobi to Abuja in June 2022.

Reacting, Adamu on his Twitter page said the appeal court verdict will spell doom for the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

”By the way, I wonder what empirical evidence convinced the appeal court to discharge and acquit Nnamdi Kanu despite his obvious criminal activities.

”I respect the court’s judgment but if Kanu can go free, Abba Kyari, Sunday Igboho and Henry Okah should all be freed.

Participants at the ongoing 52nd Annual Accountants Conference in Abuja on Wednesday booed the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu over his absence at the event.

Tinubu who was formally invited to speak at the event, along with some other presidential candidates.

Trouble started when Maope Ogun, the broadcaster who moderated the session announced the name of the presidential candidate of the APC, though he was not in attendance. The participants were heard shouting, “No,” “No,” “No.”

It took the intervention of the moderator who rephrased her statement by saying the presidential candidate of the APC might join them later.

The event was interrupted for a few minutes despite all the efforts of the moderator to stop the booing and jeering by the participants.

Meanwhile the hall was electrified when the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore was called upon to address the conference.

Tinubu was also absent at the Nigerian Bar Association Conference in August. His running mate, Kashim Shettima, represented him at the biggest gathering of Nigerian legal practitioners.

There have been concerns from observers over Tinubu’s health status following his recent medical trip to the United Kingdom. He returned to Nigeria on Thursday, October 6 after spending 12 days in London, where he had gone to see his doctors.

SaharaReporters exclusively reported that the former Lagos governor went to see his doctors at a Central London Clinic.

“Our principal, Tinubu is sick and tired. He is expected to see his doctors in London today at a Central London Clinic,” a source had told SaharaReporters.

In July 2021, Tinubu was hospitalised in Maryland, United States.

Tinubu, who had several medical trips during the year, had surgeries.

“Tinubu is hospitalised in Maryland, US. His health is failing. He couldn’t participate in launching his Arewa library, and he couldn’t participate in the local government area elections last week. He could not attend today’s APC congress due to health reasons.

“He had a surgery last week,” an authoritative source had disclosed at that time.

In January 2021, Tinubu was also reported sick and hospitalised in Paris, France. Tinubu had earlier complained of exhaustion and had travelled out to rest before the news of his collapse went viral.

He was flown to Paris for medical attention in the first week of January.

SaharaReporters in June 2021 reported that Tinubu was also in Paris battling some old age illnesses.
