Afghanistan: Forget that Unilorin o. I was a medical student there and I must say its really overrated. Insufficient classroom,poor conditions,poor structures and also,the lecturers. Majority of the lecturers no sabi anything as most of them are doctors who were just hired to take up lecturing to fill the gap. Imagine the HOD of a department who cannot speak good english and he calls himself a graduate of MB;BS and has a PHD in anatomy only to miseducate students in anatomy. That's why its very difficult to find professors there. Only a few professors. Another problem is the issue with departments. The college of medicine in unilorin don't have enough departments. They don't even have dentistry, physiotherapy, radiography and so on. Even nursing was just recently established. Despite all these, they keep on withdrawing students anyhow, destroying their careers all in the name of medicine. You just have to make the best of everything in this life and try to be successful in all endeavours. Just believe that you'll make it and with hardwork,you will.

I was a unilag diploma student some years back. Diploma cutoff for pharmacy was 116. I scored 120. A girl who scored 95 got her admission letter before me. I was shocked! I later learnt the VC had his own list, registrar had her own, even the Oba of Lagos had his own, so it depends on who you know.. People who didn't even know these people found some other ways to 'leg' their ways through..

It can be repaired. New screen would cost you 11k for the dv7. As for the board. You would need atleast 20k for a new motherboard. It can be fixed.

I av a hp(dv7) which I bought in 2011. I woke up 1 morning 2 discover that d system is smelling (like sumtin is burnt in it). Wen I took it 2 an engineer, I learnt that d power is damaged bt he could not get a solution. Again, I took It 2 another engr (dis tym, it was d person dat sold it 2 me); he told me dat d board is damaged ( little drop of water being d cause) and d range of a new board is 28 to 30k which I do not av den. Fast forward 2012 (when I came bak 4rm skool) I took it 2 him cos m prepared 2 pay d 30k. He gave it 2 his boys 2 work on it; he said dey av 2 take it to where dey ll buy d board (reason being dat if it fails 2 work, it ll be easier 2 return it 2 d seller). Wen dey got bak, I was told dat d screen is displaying internally (meaning d screen is damaged as well). I dnt knw if its possible for an used system to develop fault. What I want 2 knw is if d system can be repaired and at what price...
