joeyfire: Bros, some of the people of ore may have fled but at least we know that the traditional leadership received Banjo and there were (as far as I know)why won't they, when they were faced with guns
NO killings or atrocities of any kind. If biafra intended to occupy they would have committed evil while they were on ground.and didn't they commit?

As for biafran troops probably having to kill yoruba soldiers en route to lagos my answer is they would have had to kill NIGERIAN soldiers of yoruba ethnicity. No shaking for that one.u said dat urself, yoruba soldiers,so d pple wil watch as theis sons were being killed
The bone of contention for me is that biafran troops indeed entered NIGERIAN soil en route to the seat of power and conducted themselves in a manner that showed they were not after yoruba lives. The army of bigots on NL know its true. I challenge anyone to prove this

they conducted demselves in a gud manner?u can even google search it....to see how many houses they burn,to see how properties were looted....ok,why did pple rejoice wen they were chased away.......GBAM

At least you are contented now about my identity, I guess you a loser! I have not met you before, neither have I seen you, but permit my ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) to say; you talk, write and most times think like a Robot! You can’t think for yourself except what is generally accepted is shove down your throat even if they are psychobabbles. You lost me completely here based on your assertions on this open war that was fought barely 40 something years ago. There are more than a million materials on the war all over the Internet, yet you can’t read them, think over them and come out with something concrete on your own, except the drivel you can spit out here. Advice: Make use of your brain, it’s not a mere decoration, load or designed box on you neck, it is meant to be used!

Did you see how long it took him to reply? Lol...He had to go and find someone to reply for him and then returned to re-write. If you wanna test him, continue conversing with him in Yoruba and if truly, he is conversant, he wouldn't take him long to reply and his writing would be sound.

See what I mean? Everybody knew the retaliatory putsch of July was as a result of the january 15th coup, i was referring to your post where you stated the following, 'im very suprised at you, u claim there is no justification for killing 3mil ibos, to that i respond that kill 1 human being is unjustified but in a war, what did u expect? The moment ojukwu responded with a war instead of keeping his troops in iboland it gave justification for d stuff that ensued, the moment he went to yorubaland and went in with troops and killed the yorubas in d pretense of liberating them(all the northern troop had already been removed from d west) he sealed his own coffin. The ibos had a direct route to the north they didnt take it.' what has your comment got to do with what you are saying now! Your argument has been Igbo started the war and it was the other way round, don't turn things around!
and i have stood by my point d coup lead by ifeajuna and co caused the war. The ibos are responsible for d war. The ifeajuna coup was tribalistic which caused a retaliation, at the end of d story ojukwu decleared war and achebe is blaming awo for d ibos that died. He shuld blame his fellow ibos.

@amor4ce, you have done a great job for supplying a revealing, detailed, unbiased, articulated and captivating material as this (Odia Ofeimum's account)! The propaganda employed by both factions were very unfortunate in those days but as usual the reason he cold apportioned blames was because of the useful tool we have now-HINDSIGHT! Ojukwu to me, did what was best for his people, I am sure if Ofeimum was to be in Ojukwu's shoes, he will likely do the same. WAR is not funny!

tomakint: It is no longer news that the N’digbo are warming up to present a candidate for the 2015 Presidential race, in my own candid opinion it is a dream project that has long been overdue. Indeed, this is the time we as a people (should rally round our Igbo brothers and sisters in unison and see how this dream can be actualized come 2015 but still on one ground, that is, if and only if the entity called Nigeria will still be ONE!

How I wish my Igbo brothers and sisters will stop pursuing different agenda and come together under a unified voice for the common good of their FUTURE! To my Igbo compatriots I say to you all, it is never too late to put your house in order.
