Well, I find it difficult to apportion blames here. Any member of the religion of peace is capable of anything whether he's sheite or heite. Who knows the intelligence the soldiers acted upon? Tell me for Christ's sake why they are taking 3 days to protest here the killing of someone in a far far away time and place. BTW I am totally against this common bloodshed. We can solve our problems bloodlessly. |

To say the least, Nigeria is an absolute ridicule of that word 'democracy'. Why do we keep giving the impression that a few people decide who becomes president in a country of over 200 million people who all have working brains in their skulls? Why do we keep giving the impression that what matters to us is which tribe or religion that run things for us rather than the development of the country? This is the reason no politician runs an issue-based campaign anymore which is why the leaders we throw up are often visionless since we don't care about their abilities but only about their region or religon. Is it not why they choose to deceive us by playing on this base myopia we manifest? Like leaders like the led - Cowish!. Tufiak! |
Pls the gurus, be kind with me. I have used the [hl] and [hil] tags with a hex value of #FFFF00 all to no avail. I guess it has to do with the version of php or bb used on nl. Pls help the poor. |

PMB supporters? Seems some people are campaining for the Private Mail Bag system to be brought back to replace email, SMS & SM. Analogue to replace digital? While an industrialized nation (France) elects a 39-year young brain like Keyamo as president, here Keyamo is trying hard to lick the boot of a brain dead Octogenarian president for pennies. SHAME! Meanwhile, the P in PMB shows how the analogue PMB will immediately loose relevance from 29.05.2019 once he stops being (P)resident. How shall we call him then? MB? GMB? FPMB? The initial sef confuse like him owner. People like Keyamo are the reason African youths are looked down on & called 'lazy' even by the oldies whose nyash they lick for crumbles from a table that should have been theirs. Mtchewwww!?! |
We all seem to know that thieving politicians stash away their loot in Swiss banks. The reason is that such loots are protected from international anti money laundery laws by the Swiss secrecy laws. And we know why money laundery is such a big crime accross the Planet. One reason is that it makes it easy for terrorist sponsors & public fund embezzlers to transfer funds undetected. It's why it baffles me that the International Community seems unconcerned about the Swiss secrecy laws and their huge implications against our common welfare as a global community. While we can point at the secrecy laws relating to Swiss complicity in the constant theft of public funds taking place in Africa, I can't find what to hold for Panama becoming the new safe haven for thieves in chiefs' clothing. Again, what makes Italy an easy Nigerian sexport destination? Why has such notorious crime movement remained intractable to the security/immigration services & foreign missions of both countries as well as the INTERPOL? |
This Hashim seems to have some good ideas up his sleeves. In a sane climate all we'd need to do is to investigate his track record & if he has done well, we all go for him. Unfortunately, here people are so insane that they see someone who has stolen their wallet before & they passionately entrust their bank to same - like accursed people. Haba! |

I am ashamed at all of u jeering at any possibility of true positive change 4 naija. Can't see why u love d status quo so much. Those of u asking how he plans to achieve a GDP of $4 bn in 10 years, read again. He said he'd invest in R&D. Investment in research & dev can do anything if u understand. U young Nigerians re hardly any better than the old dullards in ur reasoning level. |
If you look at the number & calibre of people jostling for PDP's presidential ticket toward the impending 2019 polls, you might agree with me that PDPers actually believe they could take over Aso Rock again only after one tenure of APC. Now, knowing how desperate APC elements could be especially at the national level, I know how doggedly - both ethically and otherwise - APC will fight if only to avoid the 'disgrace' of losing power only after 4 years of holding sway. To shorten a long story, I envisage that APC will leave no stone unturned in using the age old power of incumbency to rig - yes, rig - the 2019 polls in order to maintain their current mouth-watering hold on Nigeria's magnificent oil & other wealth. So with such extraordinarily strong resolve manifested by so many top PDPers to take over Aso Rock from May 29 2019(so close actually?!), what plan do PDPers have to crack an even stronger desperation as being expected from APC? @NLPDPers over to you please. Or, are u not supposed to be proactive? |

Hello OAM4J I believe Nigerians needed to know this. |
We need to know. cc: puskin, FOD, naijacutee, dominique |
On July 15 2003, Nigeria had her first ever female finance minister in the person of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (NOI). And since then, all our finance ministers have been female except for the brief stint of Olusegun Aganga. Otherwise, it's been from NOI to Nenadi Usman to NOI again to Kemi Adeosun to Zainab Ahmed. What's the message in this? That we have discovered women to manage our finances better? Anyone hardly doubts that NOI has contributed the single greatest positive influence to our local economy since 1999 and even since 1960. Standing out among those contributions is the negotiations with the Paris Club which she led resulting to a debt profile of US$30 billion being wiped out for Nigeria. And there are more and more such as GIFMIS which TSA is a part of, and IPPIS which had eliminated 62,893 ghost workers by December 31, 2014 saving us US$1.25 billion. Yes, NOI has done well for us. But do we seem to think it's because she's female which is why all our money managers have to be female after NOI? |
Jaynom:You obviously think you're knowledgeable but, alas, you have manifested the exact opposite. A syndrome is nothing but a complex disorder. |
I. FORBESAFRICA.COM IS NOT FORBES - VON cited forbesafrica.com but my findings show that the website has no links with Forbes whose only website is forbes.com. Forbes is owned by 2 US-registered companies Forbes Media LLC & Whale Media while forbesafrica.com is owned by a South Africa registered company ABN Publishing Pty Ltd (check the foot of the website). Fobesafrica.com was registered only in 2008 (Source: Siteleaks). So they don't have pedigree enough for their view to matter in a country's economy. |
Recently, pro-FG Nigerians have been bragging over a Voice of Nigeria (VON) report which says that "Forbes rates Nigeria as 2018 best economy in Africa" (READ IT HERE: www.von.gov.ng/forbes-rates-nigeria-as-2018-best-economy-in-africa/) As you will see just now, the news report cited above is very misleadingly based on an article entitled "Making Nigeria" which is found here: www.forbesafrica.com/economy/2018/04/09/making-nigeria/ Forbes is a business magazine founded in 1917 and based in New York. With at least 100 years of business/economy reporting and analysis behind them, Forbes has established itself as a trusted name worldwide. Obviously, this is why it made news when VON claimed Forbes endorsed an economy with so many miseries not found elsewhere even in Africa. But see below how VON lied on two counts: i. It was not actually Forbes that VON referenced (proved below). ii. Even the referenced source was mutilated for political gains (also proved below) |
