If u have bought something from Jumia before with the card, it means ur bank visa card doesn't work for international transactions. If u have not bought anything frm Jumia b4, you gat activate the card for online transactions then it will work.

I've tried different 2A cables but still the same thing, it got to a point where I will need to bend the cable before it will be charing, some cables wouldn't charge at all. So I took it to an engineer, he loose the phone and discovered the charging port is bad, then he put a new one.

The phone now charges with all cable but not fast charging, it takes about 6hours for full charge.


I don't know if a custom rom can fix this.

6 hrs is a long time. Lol.
Custom ROMs do not fix hardware problems.

Just apply it from that pointed mouth, press the screen and clean the excess immediately, your phone will be neat and the screen will stick properly. Apply to both sides. One side at a time.

I dont experience slow charging 1hr 45min, phone is full. Maybe u shouldn't have changed charging port, u shd hv gotten an original 2A rating charging cable. There are so many fakes. Umidigi cables wear out after 5 months.

The truth is that Umi A5pro is fragile.
The screen sometimes freezes because it is no longer properly fitted the way it was many months ago.

Remove your pouch, increase the brightness to the highest, in a very dark room check the edges of your screen, the top and the bottom. Your phone should be perpendicular to your eyes while checking. Check it you can see the bright light from the screen shinning out through a small hole from the edges of the screen, from that dark band covering the edges.
Check well. Mine was shinning out from the top right side, it's hardly visible, but check.
If the light is shinning out, it means, that glass covering your real screen is slightly pulled out.(I'm not talking about tempered glass o, I mean the main glass before you see the skeleton screen is slightly pulled out).

Confirm it by taking your phone to a place where there's a bright light, preferably outside your house. Turn off the screen light. Press the edges of your screen, check if it's moving a little bit in and coming out in each press. For mine, the bottom part of the screen was firm to the edge, each pressure on the bottom edge did not show the screen pressing in or out, it was just firm, but at the top part of the screen, each pressure resulted in the screen moving a little bit in and out. It's barely visible to notice, you have to look well.

Solution
Buy Super Glue, Apply it to the area that is a little bit pulled up, immediately you apply the glue, press the screen and immediately use a cloth to clean away the glue so that the glue won't stick to the screen but must have entered that little hole that pulls up. So you apply the glue normally, press that part of the screen in and clean immediately.
I applied mine to the top right and top left corner. don't allow the glue touch the call speaker.

When the screen is pressed firmly in, you won't experience screen freezing.

I've not experienced it since Friday after doing this.
Before this, I've tried several ROMs thinking it was a software problem, I had to go back to a ROM is used in May, when I wasn't experiencing the issue and the screen froze too, I confirmed it was a hardware problem.

Give it a try.

Umi A5 pro.

I ordered a small phone on July 23rd, it was was shipped on Aug 1st. I no see phone for past 1month, I went to the Post office to track it for me, they decided to help me track it after waiting for an hour, they said it has been in Naija since Aug 21st.

I neva see phone till now. Today na Sept 19.
I won't be surprised if AliExpress stops shipping to Naija. They have really lost a lot from shipping to Nigeria.

Be sure to follow the right steps from someone that has successfully rooted same phone. Rooting and installing custom recovery is different on different devices. You may download and flash the wrong scatter file from Google.
