For example if Cameroon,Rep.of Benin,or Niger accidently fires a missile that lands in Nigeria and causes fatalities,and these countries claims it's an accident,shows remorse by releasing a statement, probably send some high government delegation,agrees to pay compensation,punish the culprits and so on,it's most likely to be accepted and everybody moves on.
It is very different scenario from when Eritrea lands a missile in Ethiopia, south Sudan landing a missile on Sudan or Pakistan landing a missile on India.
For this second instances not to degenerate into a war,it will take a lot more.
