Why do ppl say that this james bond is trying to be like jason bourne if you ask me its the reverse,there is the bourne gal there's the bourne gal that got murdered by an assassin like OHMSS, then there is the villain and his henchmen and car chases and even pamela landey M wannabe even the shaky camera fight scenes were totally swiped from golden eye's showdown between bond and 006. Besides bourne movies are quite boring always the catch me if u can routine CIA deploys all its resources to catch one man and always fail can't they catch him for once?abeg ppl give bourne movies too much hype.
Bond movie are okay they vary around different matters, haven't seen skyfall yet and I don't think I will, the trailer doesn't look like much, my frnds warned me not to make that mistake they even called it the worst bond entry and from the reviews I read it seems so. Even the positive reviews didn't point to action set pieces or realism or thrills I just write am off sharp sharp I cudnt have done without you nairaland.

These days one can't judge how good a movie is based on its turnover at the box office or how much people rave about it not even how many accolades it has gotten afterall there have been wack movies that make money and get all the glory and accolades e:g twilight,expendables even dumb movies like power rangers have high gross earnings which have contributed to it being one of the strongest movie franchise ever, TDKR sucked even more than the avengers yet it made more money, hollywood keeps force feeding us with stoopid movies yet they still hold oscars and academy awards. Ceremonies like normal so the above factors aren't enough to judge how good a movie is. A realistic way of doing so is to check the movies realism, its attention to details rather than plot holes,its ability to stand out for recognition and its ability to set a standard for other films to follow. In the current daniel craig bond era the only movie which leaves up to this criteria would be quantum of solace, it would have been casino royale but I will give it to quantum cos the director did his research properly, Quantum wasn't a remake like casino royale and fell short during the writers strike but all the same quantum of solace was still able to rank shoulder level with casino royale
It was realistic:
The plot was plausible and based on a true story, the action scenes are all relatable either bond is attacked for trespassing, or is part of a raid or is attacked following a security breach,all the characters were modeled in real life characters like M was magaret thatcher the CIA was targeted at the george bush corrupt admin, the villain was modeled as tony blair uk prime minister highly political and diabolical heck even bond was modeled after polymath john dee british naval intelligence officer of during world war 1
It was detailed
In the sense that every shot bond fired had its consequences
every action was detailed and accounted for like the desert hotel was a meeting point becos the general was a pure dictator highly paranoid and obssessed with security even so as to which the hotel is even purged of its guests and workers just to set a meeting between greene and the general even the villains weren't faceless like other bond movies they had profiles, they were few and easy to recognize
It stood out
People found the movie too complicated and too serious and didn't make it their favourite but Quantum still stands undisputed as the most realistic and thrilling bond story ever
Set a pace for others to follow
Quantum of solace got rid of the childish bond formula but still kept the bond traditions intact like the tuxedo scene, the walter ppk handgun,the aston martin, the vodka martini shake, his one night stands and even the menacing villains
Marc foster showed the direction in which other bond movies will follow like
- having a deep storyline with a message
-saving the gun barrel scene for the ending
- saving the bond theme for the climax and ending of the movie
-making M more active and built a relationship between she and bond
-making bond human and suffering some sort of depression and even questioning his job
-subtle evil plans and villain insight
Skyfall however won all the accolades, made more money and was raved about but it sucked becos it brought nothing new to the franchise most of its elements were stolen from other bond movies, it was not realistic, it didn't pay attention to detail and its action scenes was not captivating enough.
I guess money is not everything

13.Breath taking scenes

Hehehe you know the movie is really bad when they start looking for trivial attributes like the "cinematography" that's like getting married to a chick with bad manners knowingly just becos she is pretty. Besides where were these breath taking scenes? All I saw was CGI. And it was really fake in skyfall istanbul chase scene was CGI the shanghai and macau scenes, horrible CGI and texture toning, the scotland cliff wow apparently EON has run out location ideas that they picked a scenery used by like a million low budget scottish movies (jennifer love hewits' "if only" the london tube was really clunky so I don't think that's what they are referring at. Or is it the 3D effect they are talking about it doesn't even matter the cinematography is nothing out of the ordinary I've seen movies that utilized CGI better than skyfall did and is cinematography enuff to justify the other crimes skyfall committed? ask yourself

6.The return of Q, moneypenny and Male M

I was in favor of Q not returning, the previous movies didn't have Q and they did so well so when they said Q was returning I was pissed off and felt even worse when I saw him in action
- Q is a baby?: this is MI6 it is not facebook it is not google, you need to be more than a nerd to be a Q
- Q mocked the exploding pen : Q stands for quartermaster the job of a quartermaster is to supply soldiers and intelligence officers with weapons, an exploding pen is a weapon it is inconspicuous, its effective and its mechanism is quite similar to a hand grenade so what makes it so laughable to Q? Okay he claims to have advanced from exploding pens so what do they go for? Old skool hand guns with palm print scanners and lousy transmitters disguised as a radio how are these useful wouldn't it have been better to give bond nothing at all
Q is forced: if he claimed they don't go for the gadgets anymore why is Q here? Doubling as a computer analyst is pretty lousy he is a quartermaster not a computer hacker or analyst
Silva's forceful supremacy made Q just look stoopid: first of all Q can't save MI6 from silva's attack, then Q can't trace silva's attack, then he arranges for a "top secret meeting" at a museum right like no one would notice two grown men staring at a painting, then Q can't remove silva's video from youtube then Q hooks up silva's laptop on their useful network when he knew it likely contained malware., then Q can't navigate bond properly and spots silva late on the train then when he has intel that silva is heading for M he just sends a pop up message to tanner rather than evacuating everyone from the court room then he can't stop silva from leaving the country and he fooolishly agrees to james bond dumbass plan but doesn't arrange for weapons or reinforcement to be sent to bond. And doesn't warn bond that silva is coming over with a helicopter. Q was at his worst in this movie and to top it all ben whisaw is a terrible. And GAY actor wow brave new world

Who switches field duty for a secretary job? Poor moneypenny background story, poor chemistry between she and bond,completely useless to the plot I mean what was her purpose was it to assist mallory? Spy on bond? Just mope and stare during M's hearing? What was moneypenny's role in skyfall? Her appearance looked very forced in my opinion,she is completely forgettable there were times when you actually forget that she was in this movie and OF COURSE they also picked another horrible actress to play moneypenny naomie harris, foked up miami vice, foked up blood and oil, foked up pirates of the carribean to think bond producers would have learnt from these movies.
Male M
Every spy movie has a male spy boss charlies angels, triple x,mission impossible, johny english I, get smart,sum of all fears it kinda boring. The idea of a brutal assassin controlled by an elderly woman gave the james bond brand a kinda sexy appeal but instead of picking another lady to replace judi dench or kill off judi dench and replace her with a lady from parliament they picked another man(yawn) and instead of anthony hopkins, ciaran hinds or tom wilkinson they got ralph fiennes(zzzzzz) who is a few shots older than daniel craig really smart guys and how come he reinstates bond when he actually advised him to retire initially? How did he grow respect for bond?why did he support bonds ridiculous plan the don't ask don't tell policy skyfall applied is really a poor tactic to apply to movie making please please please work harder on your script and casting next time.

10. Mad ass soundtrack

Oh yeah I hated the soundtrack. At this age and time they feel they can still do a ballard, its been over twenty years since they did such in a bond movie suck it up boys. And the skyfall song sef, poor lyrics that made no sense, the tune was off , tempo was snoringly boring , even adele wasn't powerful in this one like rolling in the deep(love u adele this isn't about you) it didn't even last on the world charts can you compare it to "a view to kill" theme or "tomorrow never dies" those were awesome soundtracks.they better thank their stars that adele has achieved the status of accolade prone at this point even if she farts unto a microphone she will still get an award if not I for swear for their family if they allowed adele humiliate herself for no reason

11.Perfect storyline

Abeg don't even go there that movie has so much plot holes that you just end up literally finishing every scene for them.
Minor Plot hole: James Bond and Patrice are having a big fight: cars flip out of a cargo train, a bulldozer is on a rampage on top of it, the train eventually gets cut in half, and the chauffeur and emergency breaks all have this one common mood characteristic: they don’t give a shit. In any real world situation, the train would have stopped a few seconds into the action sequence.

Minor Plot Hole: Bond is on top of a train going very fast. He falls off of said train and falls a very far distance. But he he is shown falling straight down. His momentum from being on the train would have carried him into the rocks at the bottom of the hill, thereby making his miraculous resurrection truly Lazarus-like.

Minor Plot hole: Part of a metro tunnel explodes in the middle of London causing a full metro car to crash and burn in an underground tunnel with the thunderous sound of metal death. And yet, Silva escapes ground zero and hides in the crowd of subterranean London dwellers who didn’t feel like their sense of security was violated by the echoing sound of doom. Perhaps we can infer their lack of survival drive because it’s the first time there is a terrorist attack in London metro stations, right?

Minor Plot hole: Patrice, the assassin, kills a few security extras in a Shanghai building before taking the glass elevator to reach his sniping position. Quick quiz question for you guys: when you enter an elevator, do you turn around to face the door in order to choose your floor? Yes you do. But Patrice is too cool for social norms. He enters the elevator of a building after killing a few guys and he simply doesn’t care about anything or anyone that could sneak-up on him. A third security guard could have been there aiming at his head while he was in the elevator. But this security concern is of no value to professional killer Patrice, he really WANTED to turn his back to the elevator – almost as much as the screenwriter WANTED him to turn his back to the elevator so James Bond could run up to him and jump under the elevator without him noticing.

Major Plot hole: James Bond is a man that beats unbelievable odds. It is part of his character. However, he usually beats unbelievable odds that are thrown at him, not ones he creates himself. He can kill 20 guys in a hotel if he is forced too – but he would never be stupid enough to create this situation himself. Except he did it in this movie. He lured a super villain with quasi-unlimited resources to a gun fight against him and a geriatric lady in a shit-old chalet. Of course they end-up having a third ally: Kincade, the retarded old man who likes to wave around a flash light in complete darkness to make sure bad guys can find him. But the problem here is not that James Bond won the fight 3vs15 (even though it’s stupid), the problem is that James Bond planned this gun-gang-rape in advance and assumed he would come out victorious. Which is in itself so retarded that it is insulting to Kincade.

Major Plot hole: MI6 has weird weapons. They buy rifles that can only shoot once before reloading. Otherwise Eve Moneypenny could have, you know, shot the bad guy endlessly after she first hit James Bond on top of that train. Instead she just kept eye contact with him and hoped to make him die of guilt.

Major Plot hole: Silva’s plan makes no sense. He wanted to get caught on that depressing shit of an island to then escape to find M, so he…

1)    Needed Patrice to die at the hands of MI6
2)    Needed to make sure Patrice would have his Macao casino chip in his coat
3)    Assumed James Bond would just go to the casino after finding the chip because where the Bleep do you want a better clue to the hideout of a villain than to assume the farfetched notion that assassins enjoy the thrills of gambling risks
4)    Assumed James Bond would find his girl, Sévérine, and proceed to not get killed by her 3 body-guards
5)    Assumed Sévérine would like James Bond and offer him to join her on that boat for some shower-sex based on her secret desire to find a man strong enough to kill Silva
6)    Assumed James Bond would be wearing a tracking device to the island so MI6 could send a few choppers to arrest him
7)    Assumed his guards would not search Bond for aforementioned tracking device OR assume none of his guards cared about getting caught by MI6
   Assumed the MI6 nerds would hook-up his virulent computer to their mainframe instead of an isolated server
9)   Assumed there would not be mechanical locks to his cell - even though they were in an underground WW-2 bunker

In order to succeed, Silva had to sacrifice many of his men and pray every night to the dwarf moon-god of luck to make sure all those steps happened.

Major Plot hole: Silva’s plan makes even less sense than the already exposed nonsense. His plan was to first humiliate M; destroy her office, leak the identity of various double agents and make her feel guilty about their inevitable deaths, pressure the government to get rid of her as head of MI6 and leave as a disgrace, etc. Ok, that’s fine. But the second part of his plan was to kill her.  The fact that he had two henchmen waiting for him in a metro station to give him a fake police costume and the fact that it would be very hard to kill M while she was inside the bunker surrounded by dozen of agents makes it inevitable to think that Silva always intended to kill M during her court appearance. HOWEVER, with everything we explained already about the impossibility of outcome of Silva’s plan, now we have to buy the impossibility of timing – whereas everything Silva assumes would happen also had to happen at exactly the time he thought it would happen. If Silva got caught a few days later, or if Q took two more hours to decipher his computer virus, Silva would have escaped through the sewers and M would not be at her court hearing anymore - thus negating all his work.

Plot contrivance: Even assuming Silva’s plan to get caught makes sense (it doesn’t); there is no way it could have worked. This is why his initial escape is off-screen, because it becomes ridiculous when you think about it. Silva was able with his computer virus to unlock all doors in MI6 underground bunker. Pretty cool. But he is still in a glass prison cell with two armed guards in front of him. Are we to assume the super-trained guards of MI6 who were watching him not quick enough to take out their handguns as soon as they saw Silva open his cell’s door? Especially after Silva made it clear he was expecting to get out by standing up, zipping his suit and smiling knowingly after the guards were asking him if he was going somewhere? Apparently, yes.

Plot contrivance: MI6 really needs to find Patrice, the assassin who stole the hard drive containing all NATO double-agent information. Their plan? Send 007 to find him, alone. The oldest field agent, who failed the physical and mental tests to rejoin service, and the only one Patrice ever saw face to face after their homoerotic encounter on top of a train. Would it not be simpler to send a younger agent that Patrice never saw? Or two?

Plot contrivance: While Bond is in the passenger seat of Eve’s car, he does not think it might be a good idea to take out his gun and shoot at Patrice who is right beside him in the car they are pursuing. But he makes sure to take his gun out and aim at Patrice as soon as he leaves the car though. Nice work James!

Plot contrivance: When Q has realized that Silva is heading to the Parliamentary hearing to kill M, he simply texts M's aide to try to get her to safety.   In real life, I'm pretty sure they'd throw a major cordon around  the building, secure the room and start a complete evacuation.  There would be concern for the ministers and officials a well as M, to say nothing of the spectators etc. But you gotta keep the tension balloon high in the air so all heavy common sense items must be thrown overboard.

Unaddressed issue: Bond gets shot by Eve on top of a train and falls to his death in a river. The whole intro song is based on this event and yet we are never shown how he survived the ordeal. Which is kind of important considering it is the biggest physical trauma James Bond ever suffered in his 23 films.

Unaddressed issue: Bond chases Silva through a bunch of subway ('tube') tunnels, and nearly catches him, but Silva blows up the tunnel's ceiling as a train is passing by.  Did Silva know he would be almost-caught in that room just as a train was passing above?  Did he plant explosives in every tunnel underground just in case he got almost-caught while Bond was on the other side of the room with a train approaching?

Unaddressed issue: Bond watches as Patrice sets up his sniper rifle, cuts a hole in the window, aims and shoots a random guy in cold blood.  We have no idea who the guy is, and Bond was just standing there watching, making no attempt to stop Patrice.  Bond is just told Patrice is there to do a 'job' - is he killing a an informant, or a political official?  We don't know - and neither does Bond.

9. Truly original story

yeah right! A really "original story" like the whole movie wasn't stolen from the world is not enuff so shameful its only been 14 years and you have started stealing from your own franchise
- both movies started with a dead MI6 operative, unrealistic chase and bond was injured in the shoulder ,he wasn't fit for duty altho unlike skyfall bond had to con his way back to the field
- they both had new Qs but unlike skyfall the new Q was much humorous and was wise enuff to have little screen time
-both villains happened to be former security operatives that have some form of deformity and wanted to be captured by bond for some reason, they were both active and were "scary" as their henchmen kept implying altho TWINE's villain was better than silva and oh their deaths were both anti-climatic
-M was a target in both movies and even had ridiculous hearings in both movies, MI6 came under attack in both movies too and MI6 was miraculously weak in both movies skyfall's weaker tho
They even did the stoopid chopper/zombie assault in both movies
And of course both movies had reference to bond's families
Background which no one gives two about shiits the movies are even named after something belonging to bond what a coincidence(sarcasm)
I think there is a difference between when a movie is a remake and when a movie is stolen

7.The action scenes are very realistic

Was skyfall an action movie? Casino royale had 8 jaw dropping action scenes, QOS had about 10 pulse pounding action scenes but skyfall here had 5 lousy action scenes. It was like the theme of the movie was hey everyone get caught deliberately by your enemy to fufill stoopid objectives,patrice first did that crap in shanghai when he first felt bond's pull under the elevator and he heard bonds footsteps when he was at his sniping position but anyways still did his job with the hope that he cud perhaps surprise bond and kill him,then there was bond getting caught on purpose so he cud capture silva, silva in turn wanted to be captured so he cud break out of prison and smile at M instead of shooting her,then M deliberately allows silva to storm the building in order not to "show her back" to the foreign minister then bond and M want silva to track them deliberately so they can surprise. And kill silva (wonder how that worked out for them)
Then the 5 lousy action scenes that was in the movie. Had 3 things in common they were fake, they started and ended stoopidly and they were all stolen from one movie or the other. You don't believe me read on

An NOC list stored on a hard drive is stolen from 3 MI6 agents by one man(civilian) in istanbul, turkey are you serious?how dumb do they think we are? What is bond even doing in turkey? Then money penny and bond are so relaxed and are even making jokes about sexist driving when they just learnt that such a sensitive information then how does that action scene end? Moneypenny instead of working on tracking the train hops out of her car and after a stoopid order from M shoots bond and sends him falling like 100 ft off a bridge (why do that when he would still return and no one can explain how) of course MI6 doesn't even bother searching for bond

Bond finding a dying frnd and chasing after the assailant was copied from roger moore's a view to a kill when bond chases grace jones after she kills one of bond's informant, then followed by a motorcycle rooftop chase gotten from pierce brosnan's tomorrow never dies china motorcycle chase scene, then atop of a train fight copied from roger moore's octopussy when bond struggled with kamal's henchman. Atop. A train. Of course unlike skyfall, in octopussy the train driver wasn't a retarrd and actually stopped the train when they noticed troubles on the train, then the shot and water logging is similar to bourne getting shot and waterlogged in bourne identity altho bourne didn't fall 100 ft and we saw how he survived the ordeal

Bond riding a bike on a rooftop without a problem, he the back of a train and hops in with no trouble , he fights a guy on a train they are falling backwards and forward but no one is falling over Then there's the part where moneypenny shoots at patrcie within pointblank range but patrice somehow escapes HABA! Won't it have been better if she never caught up with him
ACTION SCENE 2: shanghai tower fight

Patrice shows up in shanghai and pass thru customs with a snipers rifle and a surpressed bareta., bond. Now didn't subdue patrice perhaps like on the streets when he wasn't armed he didn't fire at patrice when he was killing security guards, he allows patrice murder the man across the building before spring into action and how come patrice just storms the building and shoots everyone in it wasn't he scared that someone else was in the building and what makes it even more stoopid is that patrice just walks straight without looking back , while they were fighting if you noticed patriced shattered the window and bond is holding unto patrices rifle but patrice pulled bond back instead of releasing his grip on the rifle or even shoving bond out of the window and how does this end? Bond thot the best interrogation technique was to flip patrice over a window and question him while in the air(wanna guess how that ended?)

Bond hanging under an elevator for what looked like 100 floors up, the stunt actors from their silhouette fight were totally visible

Bond had a gun in his possession he was told ahead of time that hey these three men want to kill you but how does bond handle it? By trying to beat three guards with a briefcase which made him suffer a summer slam, a grand fall and almost died twice from a gun and a komodo dragon(what a bad choice of actions bond) how does this end I swear to God I'm not kidding a komodo dragon ate some fat dude pointing a gun at bond A KOMODO DRAGON at this age and time they are still playing jurassic park in a bond movie wow and when that happens a komodo dragon bond was initially scared of was used as a springboard by bond and faced a gun from another henchman however moneypenny shows up and knocks the henchman out where was moneypenny all that while was she waiting for bond to face the gun before acting? Then bond.after falling into a pit getting summer slammed just hops out of the pit clean suit and not feeling any pain smiles at moneypenny and walks out what no other hench men to stop him(lousy).

Won't really call this an action scene becos it lasted for like 10 seconds but anyway,Bond instead of taking out the guards on the boat early or at least signal MI6 on time, instead he bangs severine, takes a shower and takes a nap on an enemy boat and there were like 4 henchmen on that boat are they trying to say they didn't spot bond getting on the boat or didn't wonder who severine was having sex with infact I don't even get the whole silva's island thingy why did severine put herself in such risk knowingly, why was she chatting with bond so casually when she knew she was on her way to her death why did silva want to play that silly game with bond? did he expect bond to shoot her? What if bond shot silva instead did he think about that? When bond fired at severine did he REALLY think he cud shoot a little glass of whisky off her head? (What an iidiot I don't even think you can do that with a snipers rifle). How does this end? Bond patiently waits as silva took his time to shoot severine in the head then he makes a stoopid crack about whiskey(WTF? You are more concerned about a glass of whiskey than the wasted life of a lady that you promised to save) then springs into action living everyone dead except silva just in time for a KIA helicopter to hover over silva and take him to london of course this wasn't without bond making more stoopid jokes about a stoopid radio transmitter Q had given him does that make bond cold? Nope it just makes him look like an iidiot

Bond swings an empty gun at a guy who had a gun to bonds head but does he fire at bond? Nope he fires some other dude behind him who "dies instantly" then bond throws his empty gun at another henchman what now happened to the fourth guy and the other guy bond was handling? Perhaps they are just waiting for bond to get to them, bond then shoots the guy he is handling how he got the gun out of his hand who knows "he is james bond"then. The. Fourth guy springs into action and shoots at bond but bond is so smart that he uses some guy as a body shield then bond who had problem with his shooting as established in the beginning shoots some guy at a far distance dead(wow that was fake)

Bond captured silva on his island a terrorist and a murderer there was no need bringing him back to london bond should have perhaps tortured him and get the answer he needed before finishing him off hell the KIA cud even help him out with it, time was of the essence. Then Q is dumb enough to plug silva's virulent laptop to their mainframe and isn't that a ww2 bunker? Then bond is chasing silva on his own where are the other MI6 agents WTF? Then silva has london policemen working for him?(This just gets more stoopid as we go)then they didn't evacuate the court house and silva shoots his way into a court house thru the front door (RIGHT! Like that can happen) how does this end with a fire extinguisher that's right bond shows up after surviving a train crash.(Of course still in tip top shape) winks at mallory(#Nohomo) and fires at two fire extinguishers and just like that silva is flushed an 11 year plan is gone down the drain just like that.

And if you watch closely is so obvious the actors aren't in the same room cause it looks like moneypenny is shooting up when silva is beside her then mallory is shooting forward when silva is behind him and what happened to the security guards on duty don't tell me silva killed them all.

How does this scene end? It ends with bond killing about 1million henchmen, crashing a helicopter and still on time to say a convenient goodbye to M who should have died like an hour ago

M died (sigh) too late its already been done before remember M was murdered in casino royale by what? A torpedo sounds shocking right unlike skyfall where they make M escape death about 10 times in the movie before killing her off after conveniently telling bond something like "I love you" or" you look sexy" or stuff like that(yuk!)
Besides judi denchs character in skyfall was poorly written,lazily performed,constantly abused long story shot it was awful.
First the NOC list with NATO agents from not just england but japan,america,china who are embedded in middle eastern terrorist cells, why does M have such a list? Becos the list is hidden from their allies so why does she have it? Is she spying on the agents? Does she gain any leverage by having the list? I guess we aren't supposed ask questions right john logan, then MI6 is going to be shiit when this list is exposed so M instead of deploying the whole of MI6 to stop patrice from leaving the country with this list she sends bond a senior citizen and moneypenny a prospective secretary like that wasn't bad enough she picks a risky shot over a chance to fist fighting to get it poor M john logan must hate old ppl
Then MI6 is attacked after M has received some mysterious message indicating that M is the target but however the MI6 overall director still has no bodyguard and her house is accessible and available to any homeless person who wishes to break in really logan? Bond shows up and doesn't pass any of his tests but M still sends him to recover the list he initially lost but oh M is not an iidiot she doesn't want bond to go alone so she sends the secretary to assist bond in china (what if she shot him again?)-were purvis and wade sleeping when john logan was writing such garbage its been one hour and I'm having a headache already
Then M tells the dumbest story ever about how she almost caused world war three silva was hacking the chinese even if he was going beyond his brief he was stationed to spy.on the chinese so the chinese know someone hacked their computer "through the internet" and automatically they know its an MI6 spy and instead of going straight to arrest him they go to M china's station chief I guess. Didn't she think that perhaps they were just speculating and didn't know where silva was? There was a chance to hide him and save england as well as her assssss but she gave up one of her most valuable agents and risks starting a war with the chinese by admitting that silva is her agent just for the return of 6 agents who were incompetent enough to get caught and expecting silva to die in jail what if he didn't die? What if he cracked during torture? What if he broke a deal with the chinese? M just expected things to go smoothly she didn't even bother to ponder that silva wouldn't actually kill himself especially when the 6 agents in captivity didn't commit suicide? She did such a stoopid thing and still got promoted to M? Wow this script just keeps being dumber and dumber , then on to the court room where M is informed that silva is coming for her but she doesn't even blink she doesn't call for security reinforcement, she doesn't informthe ministers about the threat she even had the nerve to recite a senseless poem which had no relation to what they were talking about.too many people aren't dying becos of you M too many people are dying becos you're an idiiot
Then M agrees to go to an old cottage out on the outskirts of scotland with no weapons, no advantage and no reinforcements really M? If you didn't want to put anyones life at risk, why didn't you face silva head on oh I forgot you aren't a good shot really even if you were bleeping the prime minister, if you suck at being a spy then you are going to suck at being a spy boss which makes me wonder how M ever got promoted to MI6 director (at this point I think I want my money back) then how does M die? The story writing on M in skyfall was really lousy and lazy and unbelievable allow me to illustrate
The list: initially I thought it was a list of MI6 agents but it turns out to be a NATO NOC list : which includes americans, chinese, russians enough power houses to have M's head for having such a list in her possession M not only has that list in her possession but it is also hidden from her allies? is that possible? It doesn't even make any sense why she has that list in the first place and when it is blown in the open, why isn't M arrested for counter espionage, I guess that shall remain one of life's greatest mysteries
M director of MI6: can anyone remember tomorrow never dies when M's car moves around with a convoy? It says something" M is the head of one the strongest intelligence agencies in the world" a VIP so to speak in quantum of solace every where M went she had huge bond like british agents escorting her that gave a sort of realism to her character but in skyfall, M has no bodyguards her shitty apartment is so accessible that even a haggard drunk like james bond cud simply break in and surprise her really?even though MI6 had just been attacked?
M and silva: I remember M once saying that her advantage of being a female M was not having to think with her ballz all the time (tomorrow never dies) but in skyfall virtually all the decisions M makes are senseless and basically controlled by her emotions. First was her decision to give up silva, it is even quite unbelievable cause in real life MI6 would simply just deny having an MI6 agent hacking on the chinese and perhaps hide silva and when the chinese claimed to be unto silva and made a deal to release 6 MI6 agents for his capture didn't M sense that silva was way more valuable than all six of those agents? Cudnt she also figure out that perhaps there was still a chance to save silva I guess the arithmetic got the better of her , its pretty lousy writing anyway so I shouldn't really take that part seriously
She also decides to put the lives of the NATO agents in jeopardy by not pulling them out of the terrorist cells they were infiltrating and basically sitting on her hands all the while when the list was missing. She also put bonds life at risk by sending him to china when she knew fully well that he wasn't ready all for no reason and she put the life of all the ministers present at her hearing at risk by not informing anyone that a lunatic was on his way to kill her she even played delay tactics by reciting some shiity poem just in time for silva to storm the courthouse and start shooting people .I guess it was her sweet revenge on the ministers for ridiculing her with a hearing in the first place.
M's death: were you shocked when she died?I was shocked in casino royale when bond's mansion exploded with M in it .it was the first time an M ever died, but in skyfall I wasn't shocked from the moment the production of skyfall took place and they announced that it was judi denchs last entry i knew exactly how she would leave, thru the course of the movie, she is asked to retire which even makes her departure more forgettable cos she was leaving anyway, her death was so cliche and anti-climatic that I immediately burst into laffter and daniel craig added to the show when he started shedding tears ha skyfall! Hmmm naijans always catching trips anyway it looks like fun I will shred. SIN2 this is the least creative bond villain in the series (prepare to have your mind blown away) this villain's physical appearance is stolen from max zorin in AVTAK,his dress sense is also stolen from zorin, he has the nasty mouth of dominic greene didn't surprise me though greene's nasty mouth made QOS enjoyable and memorable., he stole the disguise routine from the nameless villain in casino royale his death scene was even stolen from the moore bond film for your eyes only. That is just bond alone o the guy also sails into batman territory and feasts on the heath ledgers joker character , willem dafoe in speed 2 and to an extent I think they exploited gerard butlers riddler routine in that movie with jamie foxx(don't remember the name though but if you're jobless you can google it) nothing creative about him
SIN 3 this guy is totally forgettable: the guy can shoot, he can run he can hack anywhere in the world he plans assassinations like a freaking game of chess. But after that what else all these traits have been used and exploited endlessly by bond villains past so what new does this villain have? Does he belong to a secret cell of top politicians and businessmen? Does he possess skillful torture tactics, does he represent the real world of corporate greed and corruption doe he have CIA agents as henchmen what does he have that other villains don't? SIN4 very unrealistic, this guy can do anything at anytime and at anywhere and the reason for this is so lame(he is a computer hacker) which is hardly possible especially with MI6 are you kidding? Apart from the fact MI6 computers are the most secured in the world, their computers would have to be connected to the accessible domain of the internet. So all the gas explosion,file decryption non of that makes any sense. Really I don't know if to blame the script or daniel craig. But this was daniel craig's worst performance it was so inconsistent, one minute he is daniel craig then he sean connery then he realizes oops I'm supposed to be roger moore in this scene it confused everyone so much so that everyone didn't even understand his emotions in this movie
Daniel craig is daniel craig the bad asssss bond hit man with emotions, he is not a campy actor neither is he a romantic. The only funny one liner daniel craig has ever dropped that worked was when he fondly noted M as his mother figure in QOS apart from that every single one liner is just an embarrassment he was trying to be suave and elegant but that failed too cause he is kinda ugly. womanizing? oh God the man rushes thru all the sex scenes like the ladies have some kinda STD I noticed it in casino royale and QOS , so daniel craig.playing pierce brosnan pornnstarr was also a bad idea. And in this movie daniel craigs dialogue is so slow and choreographed I noticed that in the car with moneypenny. then it just went on and on. Then daniel craigs action expressions were pretty lazy here like when he was shot he didn't even nurse the pain he just kept moving like nothing happened when he was even wrestling patrice on the train daniel craig isn't even panting or acting exhausted after the rigorous chase that preceded their clash,during the evaluation scenes when bond is doing the pull ups he doesn't even look like he is straining himself no vein popping out ,wow this is quite odd considering the fact that in his previous entries daniel craig always paid attention to details like after every fight scene he is always panting, looking around the area to see if anyone saw him just commit murder and his face always looks like he needs a doctor but in skyfall bond is supposed to be the man of steele so no human element for daniel craig here. I know I shouldn't have noticed all these but I just had to I was freaking bored and had to find something to keep me glued to the screen perhaps its the director that sucks at character interpretation who knows?

Daniel is not actually the best bond actor he just happens to be in the best bond movies(scratch skyfall tho that one sucks) as a matter of fact. He is even the worst classic.bond actor probably why they made new bond a sort of redefinition era daniel craig is just lucky to be in the hands of good directors it was skyfall that really exposed his poor acting chops.

There is a fat line between an incomprehensible movie and a deep movie skyfall is easy to understand afterall I think john logans five year old son was the one who helped with the storyline and screen writing but skyfall is very difficult to follow courtesy of lazy writing, I can bet that nobody not even the so called fans understand the message of the movie or the motive behind everyones action
1. M re-assigning an unfit bond for sentimental reasons was a way of telling us that M is bonds surrogate mom and hence believed in him
2. Silva wasn't gay. The reason why he was caressing bond was becos he wanted bond to feel threatened and taunted silva could have even proceeded to rappe bond just to make sure of this, it is a kind of psycho-torture used on POWs in the earlier years
3. Silva's mission in skyfall was to humiliate M it was even more important than killing her that's why he stole the drive to embarrass M and even worse he blew her office to send a message that under M things are falling apart when he was being interrogated he told that little sob story also to paint M black afterall there was a little gathering in that scene then he allowed bond capture him and put him in captivity so by the time he bursts out d headlines would read unarmed prisoner escapes MI6 fortress another slap on M's face that's why he walked into the courthouse to kill her in front of everyone, even in skyfall when he placed a gun in M's hand it was another way of humiliating her by proving that she can't sacrifice herself for the greater good but she cud do it to others,
