eko ilee:82percent indeed. I could remember when Fashola was campaigning he used Lagos Road workers to fill up some potholes in the street, today those roads are worst than what they used to be. I am coming with a picture of one of those roads.... Just wait 1 Like |

@Op, its funny the conclusion u av reached about Lagos. To be fair, Lagos is not NYC or London, but we Lagosians are Ok with d level of development, especially d roads. Yes , a lot of inner roads are bad does dat mean all Lagos road are bad? Their is a reason why roads are classified as class A, B or C roads. In d aspect of A (wch even belong to d fg), and B roads, no state in the federation come close to Lagos, both in spread and quality. And for those who say LASG is concentrating on highbrow area s,pls is Ojo , iba, badagry, ajegunle etc highbrow? Pls dont take a picture of a street several times to generalize about the whole Lagos. Thanks. |

ifyalways: Whoever is the current LGA chairman of Obalende/ikoyi(Eti osa, I think) is doing very very well with road and drainages constructions . U expect an elitist govt not to fix roads/streets in areas where elites/tinubu lives? The state/local govt should concentrate on areas where there are more of the less priviledged I.e okeira, shomolu, alimosho, ejigbo/isolo, ikorodu, ijegun e.t.c not just major roads and elites areas. |

anonimi: You benchmark with the best ? Do they have the same kind of budget and population? Lagos with N470 billion per annum ( 3biilion USD/year ) and 18 million population . Then in your mumu mind, you expect Lagos to churn out performance similar with places and cities operating with 10 times her budget and half her population. @ OP, how much tax, do you even pay annually to Lagos state ? is it that your peanut you pay they will use to fix all the roads in Lagos state, The state govt has done well, may be that road you are complaining about is still a huge forest in your state, or at best a foot path , get this in to your thick head, Lagos State has the largest urban sprawl, it comes with serious challenges. Until we solve our structural problem we will continue with the mediocrity , we see all over Nigeria, TRUE FEDERALISM is the way out, i hope the new party has that in its manifesto. To hell with concurrent and exclusive list, except maybe defence and foreign affairs. 1 Like |

@rammon2 that is part of the challenges the LASG face, imagine all that waste dump in to drainage by some idiiots and possibly including you that posted this, in the event of a flood you turn back and cry ah fashola. lot of nigerians are too emotional to understand cause and effect relationship. A mega city will surely have to do a lot in coping with challenges like insecurity, waste management, transportation, e.t.c. This challenges are surmounted with projects and programmes that need money ! yes, money ! If you fail to pay taxes, you have no right to make complaints, you are a liability to Lagos state with serious nuisance value, you will do well keeping your mouth shut. |

emiye: Awolowo had MUCH LESS REAL dudget per capita (annual budget/population) adjusted for inflation 60 years ago and adressed all BASIC services including roads. UPN's Jakande did the same with LESS budget per capita when crude oil prices were in the range of USD30 unlike today when it hovers around USD100 and is SHARED from the federation account based on population. Awolowo did not even have oil money but depended mainly on cocoa proceeds. And we know what he did. So we should stop making LAME excuses for the CLUELESS non performer duo of Tinubu & Fashola who have been in POWER for 14 years 1,2,3,4 years Tinubu 5,6,7,8 years Tinubu 9,10,11,12 years Fashola 13,14 years Fashola and only have cheap & cheerful but hyper inflated white elephant projects in VI, Ikoyi, Lekki and a few spots in Ikeja & Surulere. Meanwhile no pipeborne water, inadequate PUBLIC primary & secondary schools, inadequate primary health centres, increasde fees of LASU that was built by Jakande who had LESS REAL budget per individual etc. The megalomaniacs in ACN only talk about true federalism they have not taken any LEGISLATIVE action towards it despite the various constitution amendment that has taken place since 1999. Bunch of shameless HYPOCRITES and CONMEN. 9 Likes |

Stop making LAME excuses for the inept duo who have RULED Lagos state for the past 14 years with very little improvement BASIC services to show for it. He needs to ENSURE that LASTMA, LAWMA, LASEPA etc work with the LGAs and LCDAs to have sanitation and Hygiene workers coupled with stiff fines and sensitisation of residents to address these issues instead of launching some yoyo projects all over the place. BTW, if he is incapable of handling the job he can follow Pope Bendict's recent example. It seems it is so difficult for ACN supporters to respond without insults especially when faced with hard, cold FACTS of the lack lustre performance of their over-hyped idols. 5 Likes |

anonimi: you have started blowing hot air again. Put your figures where your mouth is. What was Jakande's budget ? What was the population? likewise if you can not back it with figures, keep shut FOREVER. What was the Nairas value to a dollar. Let me help you, the Naira was stronger than the US dollar as at 1985. |

emiye: You provide Lagos budget & population figures from 1979 to date and I will show you CLEARLY that Tinubu and Fashola in 14 years had MORE money (adjusted for inflation) than Jakande had in only 4 years and YET he performed well beyond the riff-raff duo who rely on propaganda while stealing Lagos residents blind.
