Solace Chukwu on goal.com talked about Ahmed Musas limitations in an article
here is a quotation from him

"Musa is rapid still, but has never had the close control, associative play or decision-making to be a consistent threat at a high level when played wide"

Note that these same issues are mentioned which are
1. His close control
2. Decision making
3. Associative play: which is his awareness of his team mates postion on the field of play in relation to his own and his ability to make telling passes to them.

Here is another quotation on why he did not succeed in the premier league

"Sure, his stint in the Premier League did not go so well, but there will be no one more keenly aware of his limitations as a player than the man himself. He quite simply was not good enough to make a mark in that league, and it showed on the handful of occasions he did pull on Leicester blue"

So you see, Musa has limitations to his game he did not work on and with his loss of speed and old age, it has caught up with him.
Against South Africa in the nations cup, his decision making was a problem again.
Chidera Ejuke is tactically and technically better in many aspects of the game and is a finner footballer.
On current form, ejuke is better but let’s not forget that musa has 4 World Cup goals and an ANC medal.

Ejuke does these better than Musa:
Playmaking, linkup play, passing, etc.
Musa played mostly as a striker for cska in his prime, while ejuke played as a winger. Nontheless, ejuke still has to produce (goals or assist) in order to reach musa status. Dribble dribble without end product isn’t it

Why is ighalo hated and disrespected so much by Nigerians. You have an experienced player that has proven himself domestically (ANC and ANCQ top scorers) Epl, played at one of the best clubs in the world and has a goal ratio of 1 in 2 games for Nigeria. Yet, people are angry that he is recalled. The man is hated simply because he failed to convert an “half chance” vs Argentina? Personally, if osimehn is injured and needs to be replaced, I will rather a proven goal scorer vs an upcoming goal scorer. Our focus should be on the midfield department

If Rohr was out Afcon 2013 coach, there’s no way that we would had won that ANC. He would had conceded defeat prior to meeting Ivory coast..
Rohr: our players like MBA, oboabona are playing at Warri wolves and sunshine stars while Ivory coast players like Yaya and drogba are playing at chelsea and man city. We don’t have a difference maker on the team…. Na so he for use his mouth concede defeat before the game

Some of them feel like any player that dribbles is an AM that’s why I asked them if they know the main duty of an AM

These kinds of AMs are generational talents that come every once in a blue moon so it's a little unfair to judge the boy against those great players. Personally it wouldn't hurt to invite him and see what he can do because like I said earlier the AM position is threadbare at the moment.
So, if he isn’t a generational talent why are some of you suggesting a Swedish backwater league player for SE. let him prove himself at a better league and he will be invited

Yes it's premature to start declaring Amoo is better than any winger at the moment. That said the boy has skills and has been good in an admittedly poorer Swedish league but talents like him deserve a closer look. It's not like we have AMs killing it everywhere at the moment
When I think of am, I am referring to Zidane, rui costa, kaka, iniesta players that dictate the tempo of a game. Is amoo like any of these 4 players or he is just another dribbling winger? I don’t rate Swedish league so I cannot vouch for his quality

Hammarby is a better club to Nantes that our current (otu) right winger plays. Amoo should be integrated into the folds. If people here are clamoring for a player playing in Saudi Arabia league (retirement home) to come back, then Amoo in all fairness deserves a call up. Man can play AM,CM and RW at least he's better than Simon. Last I checked, that position isn't saturated in the eagles fold.
You can say that he is better than Simon when he hasn’t backed it up even at Belgium league, let alone French league. Trust me, as soon as he proves himself at a decent league, he would be invited. You can’t compare his case to an ex United player

Oga andrew aka objective analyst

Scoring in german league is not same as scoring in Seria A oooo

The defenders in the later barely allow u breathing space, they bare leave spaces for strikers to explore, they're tough, brutal and way mastered the art of defending

Here teams hate conceding goals, even when loosing 3 nil they still keep defending rather than attack, the teams are defensive minded and barely tailored to play fast paced counter attacking football

Harland won't be able to put up those numbers he is doinh in Germany even CR7 struggled in Seria A unlike in La Liga
A league that 35 year old Ronaldo scored 100 in 3 seasons? You must not know haaland sho abi eiya weyrey le?

Is there way to integrate Akinkunmi Amoo in super eagles asap. He is just one year older than Ansu fati of Barcelona who is also a key member of the Spanish national team. So he is not young at all. He's game is top notch rn. The earlier the better for his confidence level. Meanwhile He can play as a right winger or as an attacking midfielder with good eye for goals. In the absence of Iwobi and Chukwueze respectively. I'm just thinking aloud
Swedish backwater league? He should prove himself at a decent league before any invitation and his position is very saturated. Super eagles isn’t a training center.

The only angle to justify Rohr belittling comments is the “mind game” angle. Maybe, he feels like if he keep belittling his superstars, it will motivate them to defeat their rival.. if that’s Rohr aim, he is absolutely wrong because there are other ways (winners mentality) to motivate his players than to belittle them to their rival. His saving grace is that, he has met all his pre contractual agreement thus far. If not, some of his statements are terminable offenses

The coach has been doing that forever so that should not be a problem. We all sat back and allowed him to call a struggling Kelechi Iheanacho unprofessional so this isn't something that should upset anyone.
And he is even wrong for that matter. In the past, we can agree that, there wasn’t any superstars in the mould of drogba, yaya… but now, osimehn is as equivalent and good as any player in Africa at their various position likewise ndidi…..

When Nigeria was to play Brazil in Atlanta 96, they had the likes of Bebeto, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Roberto Carlos. Of these names Ronaldo and Rivaldo went on to win the ballon d'or and Roberto Carlos finished runner up in voting.

Ze Carlos and Conceicao (he scored two goals against us) went on to okay for Real Madrid. Dida played for AC Milan.

We were up against some of the best players in the World. One thing was clear, our coaching crew and the players did not give a damn. We believed we could go against any team and beat them.
Yes, even keshi team was inferior to the Ivory Coast team (on paper) but, they were fearless and defeated those Ivorians with drogba, Yaya and co. In order to be a winner, you have to first believe that you’re a winner

Insigne is the Messi of Napoli , the earlier you accept this the better for you

Messi has gifted 29 penalty to teammates

Osimehn form has been better than mane this season. He isn’t a winger, but he is an equivalent of mane at his position. I agree that Salah has been one of the best players this season, but osimehn is close enough. Either way, they’re our direct rivals and your coach shouldn’t be down playing his star men to their direct rivals. You as a fan, can say such but our coach shouldn’t

This has nothing to do with white bro’s

How many pk takers do share their pk apart from Messi ?

Please just mention 3 club PK takers who used to share their pk

Simmy scored 8 PK last season how many did he allow Adam ounas and co to take ?
Although, people are showing their grievances because osimehn didn’t take any penalties. But, how many player will still be given the responsibility of taking penalties when they have missed 3 in 5 at the beginning of a season? Insigne was following coach orders but he should had been classy to give osimehn 1 considering the score line and osimehn initiating the penalties. Consequently, osimehn was self centered by not celebrating with his team mate after scoring… they are both wrong in my opinion

Napoli have a lot of selfish players. Victor is really trying.
We should stop these habit of criticizing Napoli when osimehn doesn’t score. As a potential world class striker, defenders will be instructed to man mark you and any half chances or full chances that you get, you should score. Yesterday alone, he should had scored at least 2 goals (missed chances) but it doesn’t matter simply because his team won and he created the penalties

Yes we don't have players in the league of Salah, Mane and Mahrez.
It is a big fat Lie. This season, osimehn has been as good as anyone in Africa including Salah, mane and mahrez. Ndidi has been regarded as one of the best DM in the epl for the past few seasons and just because he isn’t an attacking player shouldn’t negate his top notch defensive duties. This season, osimehn has more goals than Mahrez and mane and aside of his goals, his performances has been world class this season. It is a big Fat lie to say that we don’t have any player in the mould of Salah, mane and mahrez. Also, a coach should not be downplaying his team to his direct rival… fans can make such comments, but as a coach, you shouldn’t be making such comments

If I was super eagles superstars like osimehn and Ndidi, anytime Rohr downplay them to their direct rival, I would reciprocate similar behavior.
For example
Interviewer: Congratulations osimehn on your hat trick vs senegal
Osimehn: Yes, thank you… our coach might not be as good as Senegal coach, but the players collectively believed in each other and assisted me to score important goals…. Let Rohr take a dose of his own medicine.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1:
It is actually insulting to the likes osimehn and Ndidi when their national team coach downplays his players by saying, that they don’t have players in the mould of a Salah and mane. By voicing such derogatory comments, you’re disrespecting your own superstars “osimehn and Ndidi” and also motivating your direct opponents/Rival. Rohr is lucky that he is dealing with an incompetent FA because some of his comments are terminable offenses at bigger club. Can you imagine Barcelona coach saying that Barcelona don’t have a good squad as Real Madrid? For example, 1 v 1 Algeria didn’t had the strongest squad at the last ANC, but they won it despite Senegal and Ivory Coast having a stronger squad on paper. It was simply down to their coach motivation and believe. He was saying from the on set, that Algeria are aspiring to win the nations cup and look at what happened

FIFA clear Ademola Lookman, Ovie Ejaria for Super Eagles…finally
Scorenigeria

RB Leipzig agree £22.5 million for Ademola Lookman
Ademola Lookman can now play for Super Eagles
After several anxious months, world football governing body FIFA have finally cleared Ademola Lookman and Ovie Ejaria to play for the Super Eagles, according to media reports.

Forward Lookman and midfielder Ejaria have previously featured for England at various age-grade levels but have now opted to play for Nigeria, where their parents were born.

Lookman plays for Red Bull Leipzig but was on loan at Fulham in the Premier League in England this past season.

He is a direct-playing forward and weighs in with his own fair share of goals and assists.

Ejaria, on the other hand, is a creative central midfielder with Reading FC in the English Championship.

The 23-year-old player was previously on the books of Premier League outfit Liverpool.

His creativity will be most welcomed in the Eagles midfield with his great vision and wide range of passing skills.
How many times have we heard this story? I won’t believe until it comes from a reputable source

He does that all the time. No coach in Nigeria's footballing history has such a defeatist mindset as Rohr. If there was one thing Westerhof had, it was courage and that is why his team played with so much swagger. From the beginning they start attacking vigorously - no fear, no hesitation.

But Rohr team be moving like a patched up vehicle on a bad road.
He has normalized this defeatist statement towards the players that fans don’t even reevaluate the jargons that he just voiced. First of all, I am not saying that SE present squad is comparable to any team on the world stage. But, in Africa our squad is good enough to challenge any team and our coach should stop downplaying his team publicly in form of motivation. The only luck that Rohr has, is that he has met all his contractual target thus far

Osimhen should not break his head too much with the goal stats. He should leave the penalty for Insigne. He wants to stay king of Napoli and Osimhen is getting so much love.

For now, Osimhen should still have a hungry growing mentality to make the team win. Keep contributing and with time, he will grow to the status of playing the penalties. Goals will come.
I already discussed about osimehn unprofessional attitude at raising his hands when his teammates misplace a pass. but, to not celebrate when your teammate and the designated penalty taker score is just Self-centered. I am glad that, he is at a club that loves and wants him to succeed. He is a potential superstar, but there are certain things that he needs to improve on tremendously in order to move to the next level
