We say GEJ is a slowpoke, well I think it is an advantage in this case, because like you, I feel he is tolerant. Considering the powers Nigerian politicians wage, that guy is very tolerant. cheesy
Did u consider him to be tolerant when he unleashed thugs at the Rivers state house of assembly?

At a time of great governance crisis and volatile security situation in Rivers state ENTIRELY caused by the recalcitrance and stupidity of the state governor, what do these jobless renegade governors seek to achieve by going there under the guise of a supposed "solidarity visit"? Solidarity with who, for what purpose, to spite who, to achieve what sinister ends? These fools are all clowns, and they deserve whatever misfortune that befalls them. Would their visit help restore peace to the warring parties, or would it worsen the crisis and create more bad blood?

The protesters should roast them alive if possible, to serve as a deterrent to others that are in the habit of stoking crisis in furtherance of selfish and mischievous ends. Nonsense.

Yeye journalism. When they are pro-Amaechi, they are called "protesters". But when they'r anti-Amaechi, they'r called "thugs". Shameful journalism

Taking a look at the homepage, one could see the obvious double standard by the mods by captioning thread topics to win sympathy for Amaechi:
For instance;
The Kwara story was titled:Bukola Saraki escapes from ANGRY YOUTHS,The shell story was titled ANGRY YOUTHS protesting at Rumuobiakani, but once it has to do with YOUTHS protesting against presence of those nose-poking Arewa and ACN rabble rousers who bwent to Amaechi to fan the embers of conflict in Rivers state,it is captioned THUGS disrupt pro-Amaechi governors blah blah blah

SMH @ double standard by the mods .

I would be shocked to realise that any enlightened adult human believes anything from Sahara Report without independent and unbiased investigation or atleast confirmation in other media. People around PH say nothing of this sort has happened today, it happened perhaps only on the imagination of APC owned Sahara Report

Well spoken! Why such a visit when they know all is not well. Similarly no pro-GEJ group should visit. They should allow the senate do a proper investigation and proffer solution if possible.

Protesters, believed to be acting at the behest of elements opposed to Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday pelted the motorcade of four northern governors who are currently on a solidarity visit to Port Harcourt.

The protesters had besieged the airport shortly before the arrival of Governors Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Sule Lamido (Jigawa) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

Chanting anti-Amaechi slogans, the protesters berated the governors for intervening in Rivers state’s internal crisis.

The three governors, our sources say, however remained at the VIP Lounge of the airport for about an hour waiting for Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, to arrive.

After Governor Aliyu arrived, the governor drove out of the airport in a waiting motorcade provided by their host. But as their cars drove out of the airport and headed towards the Rivers State Government House, the protesters became violent pelting the motorcade with stones, water bottles, sticks and other items.

However, the governors arrived the Government House safe, without any major incident, and are now holding a closed-door meeting with Mr. Amaechi.

The visiting governors have been firm supporters of the embattled Rivers governor. Insiders say they are visiting in the wake of the recent state-sponsored unrest, to which many commentators have pointed accusing fingers at federal authorities.

Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate and professor of literature, at a press conference in Lagos last week cautioned Patience Jonathan, wife of President Jonathan, against invasively inserting herself in the politics of the state, and working secretly as matron to forces trying to unseat Mr. Amaechi and make the state ungovernable.

Mrs. Jonathan has denied the claims, drawing wide amusement when he described the Nobel Laureate as an “embarrassment.”

The Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, also reportedly arrived Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

Mr. Wike, an indigene of Rivers State, has been accused of being an arrowhead of the anti-Amaechi group.

The Rivers State Governor has been having a running battle with the presidency over his stance on major public issues. He has since been suspended from the PDP.

The crisis in the state worsened last week when five state lawmakers, loyal to the presidency, attempted to impeach the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. The speaker and 26 other lawmakers are loyal to Mr. Amaechi, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum. The violent crisis in the assembly was widely publicised on television and social media.

Mr. Amaechi has since called for the redeployment of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police who is accused of playing a partisan role in the crisis.

Efforts to reach the Rivers Information Commissioner, Ibim Semenitari, on the details of the governors’ visit have been unsuccessful as she is yet to answer our calls.

What ever way you may want to put it, there is no way two captains can comfortably stay together and do things the same way. Ameachi is of apc, while presidency is of pdp and the actual owners of rivers state. I just dey sorry for this rascal called Ameachi who is not only made aimless by the devil but also blind. Am just damn surprised for him.
