FOR THOSE OF YOU EXONERATING THE PRESIDENT, THOSE THUGS HIRED BY WIKE WERE LED BY MR SAMUEL NWANOSIKE (AKA ISHI),A WELL KNOWN ACOLYTE OF WIKE. HE WAS AMONG THOSE WHO VISITED GEJ ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO ON THE PLATFORM OF RIVERS PDP LEADERS LED BY WIKE.ALL YOU OF THAT LOVE GEJ, ADVISE HIM TO CALL WIKE TO ORDER, HE IS GOING TOO FAR AND GEJ SEEMS TO BE ENJOYING IT. IT IS VERY WRONG FOR WIKE TO HIRE THUGS TO ATTACK GOVERNORS WHO ARE VISITING RIVERS. GEJ IS GRADUALLY SHOOTING HIMSELF IN THE FOOT. THOSE ARE PDP GOVERNORS, NOT EVEN THE OPPOSITION, WHAT IF HE GETS SAME REACTION IF HE TRAVELS TO THE NORTH? WHY ALL THESE NORTH AND SOUTH DIVISION IN GEJ'S ADMINISTRATION? DID THE NORTH NOT VOTE FOR HIM IN 2015? GEJ SHOULD KNOW THAT HE IS A MERE MAN, NOT GOD.

PHOTONEWS: Anti-Amaechi Protesters Storm Port Harcourt Airport; Attack Northern Governors Visiting Rivers
Posted: July 16, 2013 - 14:20

Anti-Amaechi protesters led by Samuel Nwanosike(aka Ishi) a well-known acolyte of the deputy minister of education, Nyesom Wike stormed the Port Harcourt International airport earlier today.

The angry mob carrying placards prevented four northern governors on a solidarity visit with Governor Rotimi Amaechi from entering the city for close to two hours until the police security was reinforced.

As the governors left the airport huddled in one car, the mob threw stones, bottled water and sticks damaging one of the cars in the governors' convoy.

Mr. Nwanosike(aka Ishi) presence at the venue of today's protest puts a lie to feeble denial by President Jonathan, and his wife that they hand no hand in the crisis bedeviling the state. Mr. Ishi was part of the delegation of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers that visited

President Jonathan at the Aso Rock Villa some two weeks ago.Anti-Amaechi protesters stone Northern governors on solidarity visit to Rivers-PREMIUM TIMES
By Abdulrahman Abdulmalik

Protesters, believed to be acting at the behest of people opposed to Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday pelted the motorcade of four northern governors who are currently on a solidarity visit to Port Harcourt.

The protesters had besieged the airport shortly before the arrival of Governors Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Sule Lamido (Jigawa) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

Chanting anti-Amaechi slogans, the protesters berated the governors for intervening in Rivers State’s internal crisis.

The three governors, our sources say, however remained at the VIP Lounge of the airport for about an hour waiting for Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, to arrive.

After Governor Aliyu arrived, the governors drove out of the airport in a waiting motorcade provided by their host. But as their cars drove out of the airport and headed towards the Rivers State Government House, the protesters became violent pelting the motorcade with stones, water bottles, sticks and other items.

However, the governors arrived the Government House safe, without any major incident, and are now holding a closed-door meeting with Mr. Amaechi.

The visiting governors have been firm supporters of the embattled Rivers governor. Insiders say they are visiting in the wake of the recent state-sponsored unrest, to which many commentators have pointed accusing fingers at federal authorities.

Wole Soyinka, Nobel Laureate and professor of literature, at a press conference in Lagos last week, cautioned Patience Jonathan, wife of President Jonathan, against invasively inserting herself in the politics of the state, and working secretly as matron to forces trying to unseat Mr. Amaechi and make the state ungovernable.

Mrs. Jonathan has denied the claims, drawing wide amusement when she described the Nobel Laureate as an “embarrassment.”

The Minister of State for Education, Nyesom Wike, also reportedly arrived Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

Mr. Wike, an indigene of Rivers State, has been accused of being an arrowhead of the anti-Amaechi group.

The Rivers State Governor has been having a running battle with the presidency over his stance on major public issues. He has since been suspended from the PDP.

The crisis in the state worsened last week when five state lawmakers, loyal to the presidency, attempted to impeach the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. The speaker and 26 other lawmakers are loyal to Mr. Amaechi, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum. The violent crisis in the assembly was widely publicized on television and social media.

Mr. Amaechi has since called for the redeployment of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police who is accused of playing a partisan role in the crisis.

Efforts to reach the Rivers Information Commissioner, Ibim Semenitari, on the details of the governors’ visit have been unsuccessful as she is yet to answer our calls.

Maxymilliano: But how could Sahara Reporters concluded that the protesters were rented by forces loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife ? was the name of the President written on the foreheads of the protesters?

Junk and biased piece of news.

^^^

That's what I don't like about Sahara Reporters, always taking side when presenting issues.

The guy is busy giving Nigerians and others one sided journalism from U.S.A., in fact I spent so much time and energy in states, answering and explaining to people things the way it should be without taking side, as they would be asking questions to verify if all they read via Sahara Reporters are correct and properly presented.

You don't fight with an ACTIVE PRESIDENT even if he appears to be the most laziest government official, This is exactly what took Ibori to where he is...Amaechi should as well be careful.

By daily occurrence in the great city of PH, Amaechi is making himself look like a little kid. Why organise this kind of visit? What a political stupid move. This is not the southwest, even 75% of your supporters are not anti jonah. Bringing the govs of the Northwest to PH will drive away many silent supporters from your camp. Remember, it is still the southsouth

ndcide: Why do these media houses link every thing to the president. Couldn't it be that the people of rivers have passed a vote of no confidence on Amaechi hence reacting this way. isn't it surprising that the majority of the people of rivers do not support Amaechi?

Some of us have been beating the drums of revolution. But my question is; does revolution mean removing GEJ? Maybe the people of rivers have stated their own revolution and the aim is to remove Amaechi. Other state can start their own revolution in their own state. when we have succeeded we can then start a revolution targeting GEJ. A revolution in Lagos state wouldn't be a bad idea you know? After all, People say its revolution we need in this country. I think Rivers revolution have started, Next should be Lagos, Adamawa, Ogun, Abia, Nasarawa etc

Small pikin is worrying you. For media houses and their conclusions.

1. Who send those thugs to cause katakata!? Na Wike and co

2. Who is Wike and co fighting for? Na GEJ and PEJ.

3. Eventually who'll sink with the katakata? GEJ & PEJ or Amaechi? Na GEJ & PEJ.

APC is making more enemies in Rivers State by supporting Amaechi who the people are against. APC is digging its own grave in Rivers State, the day Amaechi openly joins APC he will leave office within few weeks and he knows it thats why he insist on staying in PDP.

Even the few supporters amaechi has in port harcourt are getting angry with him just because the media is associating GEJ with his mess.

I thought all forms of protest have been banned by the state commissioner of police. How come this was allowed. GEJ and his crew are just too silly and dull, they keep making the wrong moves. Always using thugs and violence, in this case using of organized labor and civil society will give a better political score. They are just making Amaechi more popular by the day.

Amaechi has his silent supporters who are still in the majority. It is sad that the police could not provide enough security in an international airport leaving innocent travellers traumatized.

Is it a pot of soup Ojukwu gave him that made him risk his life and freedom for Biafra while the Eze Ndigbo Gbururu fled in the middle of the night (allegedly dressed like a woman) while crushing two innocent gals to death on the way to the airport and kicking some refugees off the plane to make space for his Mercedes and 2 of his concubines?
