The keynote speaker, Dr. Emmanuel Fashakin classified his experience with African traditional medicine into the good, the bad and the ugly.
He noted that traditional medicine is orally passed on from generation to generation, possibly because of the lack of education among its early practitioners.

He said traditional medicine is divided into two, the physical and metaphysical.

take dat: Regardless of the 'contents of the criticism', it is not a criminal offence to criticize the president. I personally do not subscribe to the insults usually directed at the office of the president, but I am yet to see where it is stated in the constitution that it is a criminal offence to insult the president in an article/publication. The only plausible legal basis for his arrest is if he threatened the life of the president in his article or publication or if its a libelous article( the president through his lawyers can institute a libel action and let the court decide), but mere insulting or criticizing the president isn't a genuine excuse.

mdfash: I commend President Goodluck Jonathan for standing firm against all the protests regarding removal of fuel subsidy. The bulk of the fuel subsidy money ends in private pockets, and there is no way to control it. A policy which tends to bankrupt the nation and leaves little money for development in a country without pipe borne water for the population and where infectious diseases hold sway, should be scrapped.

President Jonathan should stand firm and do what is best for Nigeria. Those who oppose removal of fuel subsidy, though in the majority, are on the wrong side of history. History will vindicate Goodluck Jonathan.

Idi0t, A case of libel/defamation is a civil matter for the courts. As the defamed person he may get money damages as compensation from the person that defamed him. Its a civil suit, so it is not subject to arrest or imprisonment. It is left for the president or anyone to prove in court that a statement is false and also prove that the statement caused him harm. We are no longer in the military era!
