Hmmmnnnn.... Na wa o! @kayswag, thanks for the exposition... But which do you think is more; Android users or blackberry users? Why do networks have no regard for Anroid and others except bb as per data plans? Isn't this unfair? If bb users have bb plans, I see no reason why android users should not. 2 Likes |

OP please can you explain the rationale behind this move by Airtel in more detail?The reason you provided didn't explain what the network loses in running the BIS package on non BB devices or what Airtel stands to gain when this move has been effected. The popular consensus is that by using BIS on non BB devices subscribers actually use up more data and so load data more often which should translate to more money for Airtel. 2 Likes |

If airtel thinks they can withstand the consequences of their actions then fine but time wud tell. Its bak to my mtn mb for now o. But the question I have is that what harm could have possibly come from leaving this bis package for Android users. |

guys you better use your medulla well. The truith is that starting from tomorrow , your sim with an active B.B plan will not work on non- B.B phones.. That this the basic fact.. Forget the gimmick this guy is depicting here.. This is simple logic. |

It seems people have lost their senses.. A company frankly told you that starting from tomorrow , they will deactivate non B.B phones from using the blackberry data plan and some people still want to subscribe for B.B plan today.. Guys use your logical reasoning nah !! Abi una know offer logic and philosophy for Gns for school.. No wonder they usually say Nigerians has a low I.Q. Smh 4 Likes |

Hmm...this one is strooong [size=20pt] why are u guys always cheatin us. 2gig for 1500 for bb users and then 200mb for 1k for android users....does this makes sense to u...  am currently going to break my airtel sim since the POOR browsing with it has become useless.....when u create a perferct alternative i will complement you guys by buying a new airtel sim....[/size]  By the time their ceo soak garri...he will change his mind  i promise any network high profit and demand including visafone..starcomms and multilinks ....if they could just make an amazing offer for android users...but till then...i am switching back to 5mb for 5naira 3 Likes |

kayswag100: Pls could you explain some more how it would be possible to use existing subs after the account separation on 3rd Dec, considering "This account is programmed to work ONLY if the system detects a bb phone being used" You can go as technical or "back end" as necessary. |

what if you keep your data and before you wake up on the 3rd, airtel now wipes all your data.... Its a risk which I cant take. I've never been a fan of airtel until this awesome data package for non BB users came out;and since then, Airtel has been my network of choice. But with this line of action, I cant but switch over to either my MTN or etisalat... If for nothing but for their Stability ever since... I cant because of Airtel go get a Blackberry phone;that phone is dead, the earlier we acknowledge that ,the better.... One nice strategy to beat down opposition is to OFFER QUALITY AT AN AFFORDABLE RATE.... That's what Airtel cant understand.. LeSaint: as I said, regular data subscriptions would be in a spare account and bb data would be in another? This begins from 3rd dec. If you've got value in DA10, it CANT BE MOVED. only subscriptions after 3rd would be seperated to their respective accounts copische? |

What a heck... Now what's the benefit? Your tariiff is high yet we manage your flunctuating network; the other day, i answered a call from your agent during the survey and i made a similar complain relating to BIS and Android Data plan, after which she said the management would do something about it. Stop the BIS plan if you must and introduce a reliable & affordable data for the Android users too. i have been on Airtel since inception and i hope the new management won't force me to port. |
