Ramnon, don't u see the correlations between what the house of reps said some weeks ago and usa govt. when the reps told jonathan to give account ( show the weapons x and ammunitions bought ) of the previous billions allocated to the military before they can approve the $1 billion. till date jonathan couldn't give account. Out of the various billions (at least 130 billion okonjo iweala mentioned to have been giving to military direct) given out the are now using only 1.5 billion to buy weapons from south Africa. If you will recall Jonathan said that the boko haram will soon go, he is saying they have made enough money for 2015 election from boko haram and so the generals that assisted were rewarded with award. The generals that are long retired are also involved in this fund diversion.They know the system before joining PDP. in fact they are seriously occultic while in the military.
That is why they do not care if civilians are loosing their life everyday. You will observe that in afghanistan, pakistan etc, they attack govt, but in nigeria they attacked innocent civilians only. We are praying and it will be answered soon. All the blood suckers will soon be exposed and be judged.

Is he trying to say our govt is very transparent and non corrupt? Are those weapons in the millitary warehouse and US personnel not seeing them. Does he care for the lifes that had lost as a result of govt not combating those murderers. but now jonathan gave the generals award for allowing the murders to be enjoying field day of those rituals

I am indeed afraid for the future of my dear country.

I really don't care which part of Nigeria you come from, any suspected criminal, should be investigated and if found guilty, should be brought to book.

The 2 major reasons behind our backwardness and under-development is TRIBALISM AND RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS.

Every issue in this nation is now viewed and coloured by religious or tribal considerations.

Objectivity, logic and dispassionate analysis of issues is far becoming rare these days.

As a southwesterner, I have had far better and more trustworthy friends from east and north than some of my kinsmen and it could be vice-versa.

I am willing and ready to vote for any Nigerian from any part of this country that van demonstrate his capability to take nogeria away from this slippery-slope we have been in for decades now. I don't believe there is any difference between all the present political parties be it APC or PDP.

I will gladly be happy to see any corrupt general or politician who has been found to have amazed wealth illegally sent to jail whether he is from Yoruba, igbo etc.

Politicians have continuously use the religious and tribal sentiments to divide us because we refuse to learn.

When they share money and positions, they don't talk about religion tribes.

The future of Nigeria will continue to be bleak as long as we don't think and act like one nation.

We will not move forward, if all we consider is tribe or religion.

We should all remember that bad governance result in poverty, unemployment, etc . These vices do not have preference for any tribe or religion.


I can't say you are wrong but for my own part,it mighrhave something to do with the fact that I grew up in the north(kano to be specific) and I always remember that on the day of the first common entrance examination I ever had was day one of the three day (Reinhard Bonke) sectarian riots in October 1991 about four thousand people were murdered in the most grizzly manner for being southerners and for being Christians because some of the natives did not like that an international crusade was about to take place in the city of kano.My family barely made it out of that period alive.We were escorted by heavily armed mobile policemen and a fee army guys out of gaidi-gaidi a suburb of kano but we saw a lot of the remains of those who did not make it :decapitated,disemboweled,stabbed and burnt bodies littered the roads we used to make our getaway.
After that year,every year following that there were outbreaks of nearly the same magnitude all over the north : kano,kaduna ,kastina ,Bauchi,Maiduguri,jalingo .
How many people did the governments of the day arrest and try? ANSWER:zero
Obasanjo recieved his own special welcome around October 1999 when he flippantly made a comment about reviewing allocations for oil lifting licenses a sectarian riot broke out in kano.
Targets:southerners ,Christians,anyone who did not look core north.
Government action: Condem and deplore the violence
Number of people arrested and persecuted.
Answer:Zero

Lets not forget the miss world riots in 20 , sectarian riots in response to a journalist speculating on what Mohammed would have said /done about the contest/contestants.Yet again killings and arson in Abuja of all places and majorly in kaduna.
Governments responce? Same ole Same Ole.
Number of people arrested and prosecuted ? None

Same thing during jos riots ,same thing during the kaduna sharia riot and so so many others (all within Obasanjo's administration)
Who did he catch lock up and throw the key into the lagoon ?
Answer:None.

In spite of this history everyone is pretending that boko haram is something new well I say its not, its an evolution of an old problem only this time they have found the means to kill more efficiently and their target listing has increased to including Muslims and northerners.
One can't live through that reality and not feel divisive.

there's been unprecedented level of corruption n Nigeria since the days of Jonathan. the current level of corruption is only comparable to Abacha regime. so many politicians and cohorts of Jona have turned sudden billionaires. transparency international has cried and cried and now given up hope. yet I c ppl dancing up and down singing only Jona can do it. yet u want good roads and education for ur children. u want equipped hospitals and food on ur table. Nigerians surely are blind and suffering from selfishness greed and every vitamins on dis world as they fail to c that they are not been led to any promise land. Nigeria will eventually rot and ur Jona will relocate wt his billionaire friends to rich men islands while ur generations suffer ur failings. watch... keep watching... keep singing... I pity u all

Yea, I understand your plight. But I will rather recommend ur comments to some market touts to debate. In the country today, which ethnicity is/are more interested in politics? which ethnicity has the highest production of scholars and elites? which ethnicity are mostly independent of govt and business minded ? The one who steals cannot be d owner, it should be the thief.

This is the issue. The US military expert where invited to assist our military in training. The training also involved the use if weapons to combat terrorists. They were appalled seeing obsolete weapons in this 2014. whereas the govt had explained that this is the so and so amount already spent in capital for the military. So upon physical evaluation of those things, they discovered that the worth is far from the money said to been spent. The US official did not know they are reporting to the one holding to some of the money.

It is not now that religion and ethnic considerations started to ruin Nigeria. Beginning from the 1970s division of Nigeria into states to favour some and punish some, and introduction of quota system to set some backward and advance others, ethnic and religious considerations were used by former rulers to rock Nigeria to the bottom. What the slippery lot like you lament now about ethnic and religious considerations is when people fight back against ethnic bigots unjustly hitting on people of other ethnic groups. So when you preach your sweet crude patriotism, realize that a section of Nigeria in power for decades applied all religious and ethnic tactics in the book to negate development to another section of Nigeria, and the effects on the cheated section remain with absence of federal govt social infrastructures till date. So when you preach your detribalized Nigerian preaching, look back and front.

Now that FG is asking for weapons why have they refused to sell since they saw our soldiers using archaic weapons
