Even for sake of argument we admit that Ihejirika was corrupt, is he more corrupt than OBJ, TY and IBB all of whom are generally known to be multi billionaires despite tbe fact that all their lives in the army they depended on only their military salaries and allowances. While the rest of the nation is whining, Ibos are strategically changing the economic structure of Nigeria. Within 24yrs after the people were given N4860 ~£20 each by Awolowo, they have risen to acquire huge real estates in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt while the victors of the civil war are now their tenants and are variously being envied by all. This they did without holding the key Federal position like tbe presidency. At times I wonder where Ihejirika was during the civil war? May be one of those children that Adekunle could not reach to kill. How time and a people can improve themselves if they have the will. I even learnt that same Adekunle begged Ihejirika for medical assistance in his dying days. At this rate, should Nigeria remains for another 25 years, the Ibos would be ruling Nigeria economically. The man with the economic power is actually the ruler. Ask South African blacks and Mugabe and you would understand what I mean. I love the Ibo man's entrepreneurial spirit. 7 Likes |

We need to do something about these blood sucking demons in Nigeria. When are we going to really get organized and civilized in nature? It is time we start to probe the evils and demonstrate on the streets to get rid of old cancers we have in that country. They are destroying the future of that country. It is very sad though! |

They accused Ihejirika of Brutality it did not work Then they accused him of treason and it did not fly Now they want to accuse him of corruption and claims he pocketed money allocated for weapons procurement Well if funds for weapons procurement are missing then the people to question is the ministry of defence The chief of Army Staff does not run this ministry! A simple check will show that if budget is approved for weapons procurement by NASS that the funds get sent straight to MOD! The youths of this generation must learn to have an analytical mind and critically examine what they read! The unfortunate bit is when some go on about oh they want Nigeria better hence all accused must be assumed guilty until they prove their innocence! Our youths must do better, we are the leaders of tomorrow! If we swallow everything from every half baked journalist we might as well go collect our school fees back for we have not learnt much at school! 11 Likes |

BlackTechnology:So how has this got to do with Ihejirika stealing billions? Please stop being foolish. If it is found that any of these allegation is true then he should be held responsible. Nigeria should conduct her investigation. If any of these info is correct, it simply means that Ihejirika is a thief. As “stealing is not corruption" IBB and OBJ are not on the same level with Ihejirika as the two controlled the resources of the entire country while Ihejirka only had access to the Nig army. 2 Likes |

Every public officer found to have embezzled public funds should be held accountable. This will be based on verifiable evidence by constituted authorities However, Ihejirika's decision to contest the governorship seat of Abia has put him on the spotlight for sometime now.The OP kept referring to 'his source' which was never mentioned in the post. Anybody who cannot tender anything he posts on this forum as evidence in the law court; if called upon, should not deceive people here. If he is found wanting based on verifiable facts, he should be brought to book but posting a story without e verifiable source does not confuse discerning minds who take every story on Nairaland with A SPOONFUL OF SALT. I am not exonerating Ihejirika but that post looks like a calculated campaign of calumny because of his political ambition. 2 Likes |
