Politics › Secret Report Linking Ibb To The Abuja Bomb Blast. by 1luvkipsus(op): 4:06pm On Oct 12, 2010 |
IBB SETS ABUJA ABLAZE
Two bombs suspected to have been planted and detonated by supporters of Gen. Ibrahim Babangida have just killed 7 persons and injured several others at Eagle Square, venue of the celebration of Nigeria at 50 Anniversary. The bombs, which were planted in two cars parked directly opposite Bayelsa House, a few meters away from the venue were detonated shortly after the President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and other dignitaries took their seats at about 11:30am.
The Bombers claimed that their action was out of sympathy for IBB who they allege is being humiliated and gradually striped of honor and prestige. They particularly cited the removal of their master’s billboards from the streets of Abuja as unacceptable and very unfortunate. IBB, who was the only former Head of State not present at the venue of the celebration, was not available for comment, and efforts to speak with the spoke person and Coordinator of IBB campaign organization, Misters Afegue and Dokpesi respectively were fruitless as their phones are said to be switched off. The remains of the deceased have been evacuated to the mortuary while the wounded have been moved to the National Hospital. Security operatives have cordoned off the area as no body is allowed to go near the scene of the incidence.
Nigerians who trooped out in their millions to celebrate the anniversary condemned the act as barbaric, cowardice and unpatriotic. They stated that on a day when Nigeria and Nigerians are jubilating, every grievances should have been put on hold until after the celebration, that what happened was not only unfortunate but an embarrassment to Nigeria before the International Communities whose Representatives are at hand to celebrate with Nigeria. Meanwhile, the celebration is going on as planned. With the Military display and many other side attractions to the admiration of Nigerians, the effect of the bombs may only be felt after now. What can one make from this News item written immediatly after the blast? This was intecepted. |
Politics › Nuhu Ribadu; Plan B. by 1luvkipsus(op): 6:19pm On Sep 25, 2010 |
http://www.trust.com.ng/sat/index.php/news/2177-2011-Nuhu Ribadu; Plan B.
The entry into the presidential race by former EFCC boss, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has been revealed as plan B by political heavyweights and prominent Nigerians to ensure that a credible candidate emerges president in the 2011 polls. Sources privy to the game plan reveal that Ribadu is a stand-by candidate should Jonathan lose the PDP presidential primary to his main challenger, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida who is seen in many quarters as agent of retardation.
The source, who pleaded anonymity, stated that gurrulous and dubious politicians, especially the governors who will decide the party's presidential flagbearer can afford to sell their consciences to money bags especially Ibb who is said to be ready to spend all his ill-gotten wealth to clinch the ticket.
Ribadu's aspiration is a result of high profile politicking by eminent Nigerians from all the geopolitical zones to ensure that Nigeria does not slide off the path of development, which is being experienced. Notable Nigerians on this redemption mission include elderstatemen, Ex-Generals, Religious and Traditional leaders, Ex-Public office Holders, and Council of Ulamas. This is good news. Its either Jonathan or Ribadu. |
