PoliticsRe: Beggars Deported Back To Their States From Abuja by 1luvkipsus: 7:38pm On Jul 04, 2011
This happened when there was no substantive FCT Minister. I hope Bala Mohammed who had been FCT Minister, under whose nose and eyes these beggars and lunatics invaded the city, and who has just been returned to the FCT as Minister, will not go back to his states and bring back these people. Its really amazing how all the Ministers after el-Rufai could not come any close to him in terms of achievement. One wonders why GEJ still returned Bala Mohammed as FCT Minister.
PoliticsRe: El-Rufai Arrested By SSS Over "Inciting Claims" by 1luvkipsus: 7:32pm On Jul 04, 2011
I don't know how people reason at times. If what el-Rufai said is true, why the harassment? If he lied, let govt comes out with her own version. This arrest, to me, is unwarranted, mischievous and uncalled for. This is how Yar'adua haunted Ribadu and the same el-Rufai but was highly condemned.

PoliticsBoko Haram:before We All Perish! by 1luvkipsus(op): 11:33am On Jun 18, 2011
The attack on the Force headquarters by the dreaded Boko Haram is no longer news but we must tell ourselves some basic truth before we all perish (God forbids!!). The unguarded language of the IG that he had acquired 10 armored cars to destroy the sect was not only childish but laughable. One big question we need to ask ourselves and the IG in particular is; Where are the Boko Haramites or their training camps that he wanted to destroy? In dealing with faceless person or group, one must be wise, intelligent and diplomatic. It must be known now that Boko Haram has infiltrated the highest echelon of of our society; The group has staunch loyalists in the army, police, SSS and political circle. There at least 10 members of the Sect in the newly inaugurated National Assembly as Senators and Representatives; A serving governor who has sympathy for the sect; 5 VCs who believe in the ideology of the sect; 2 first class traditional rulers who will rather die than see the sect defeated, and 2 Ministers to be appointed by the President soon. But will you ever know these persons? NO of course! Don't forget that recruitment into the armed forces and the Nigeria police is for the highest bidders, and this group will continue to buy these positions for their members. The story that a woman or whoever drove into the premises and blew himself up in an attempt to kill the IG is FALSE. The bomb was stresslessly brought in by a high ranking Police officer whose car is not always checked on entry, and the bomb was not targeted at the IG. If they had wanted to kill the IG, they would have done it long ago. I am using this medium to inform the President to use ONLY DIALOGUE to solve this problem as soon as possible otherwise there will be more deadly bombing of public places especially the CBN, NNPC, Fed. Secretariat, Supreme Court, Euconomical Centre, National Mosque, National Hospital, Foreign Affairs, National stadium, Airport and National Assembly. This battle against Boko Haram can not be fought with armored car and rocket because it is a "FACELESS GROUP". If dialogue could solve the prolonged Niger Delta crises, I am optimistic that it can solve this one too. Finally, bomb-detecting devices should be mounted at the premises of public buildings and worship places. Conclusively, this fight is not an economic battle but ideological. Ideological battle is hardly defeated!! If we treat this group with kid gloves, we may all soon perish. Forewarned is forearmed.

PoliticsRe: Aregbesola Needs More Prayers –pdp by 1luvkipsus: 5:54pm On Jun 14, 2011
No commissioners means no govt is running in the state, why does the governor need to travel about when commissioners of specif ministry can do most of those travels for him.
Its really amusing how some people here see PDP as a party full of illiterate and stupid people. What else does the governor need if after months of governance, he doesn't see the need for appointing Commissioners?

PoliticsSenate Presidency:Doesn't Experience Matter? by 1luvkipsus(op): 8:43am On May 03, 2011
Recently, the media is awashed with news, opinions & articles of the power-sharing arrangement of the PDP now that the general elections are over.Of particular interest is the Senate President! It has been argued logically that the post of the Senate President be zoned to either the NE or NC considering the fact that the President & the Vice President come from the SS & NW respectively. This percieved arrangement, which is right on spot, has propped up names such as Danjuma Goje,Bukola Saraki & Abdullahi Adamu as possible contenders to the much coveted seat.Of course,it is common knowledge that the incubent senate president,Sen.David Mark,is also very much interested.Looking at this four candidates, there may be more, one wonders what the trio of Danjuma Goje,Bukola Saraki & Abdullahi Adamu know about legislative business that they want to be senate president? In a saner society, people don't just jump at positions like that either b'cos they have money or influence, but they take their time to learn the ropes. Our governors-turned legislators should please exercise a little patience to learn the nitty gritty of legislation;this usually takes at least four years.A man who has just pulled the governorship regalia may unconsciously see other Senators as his Aides if made the senate president, and that is big problem! If not that we are in a democracy,i would have humbly suggested that the seat of the senate president be an exclusive reserve for the incubent leader,Sen.David Mark for now.The maturity with which he has led the upper legislative chamber over the years is overwhelming. His reign has brought about relative peace to the National Assembly. His administration has buried the unnecessary antagonism of the National Assembly to the Executive. This is not cowardice  or rubber-stamping but a mutual understanding, which has brought more progress & stability to our polity.Conclusively, the task of leading the upper legislative chamber is enormous and very challenging,it should not be given to inexperienced hands but experienced, matured & competent hands.I think Sen.DAVID MARK still scores the highest mark here again. We should put him there till 2015 when Nigerians & God will give him bigger  national responsibility.God bless Nigeria!!EMMANUEL JOHN is Founder and National Cordinator Of Graduate Foundation,GRAFO.08065224596.

@SIZZLERS. It has bin a personal principle 4 sumtime now not 2 reply insults thrown @ me but i ve chosen 2 reply u just 2 mek u undastand sumtins.1st,my vote 4 GEJ was purely because of 'd percieved hand of God in d whole thing',because i believe in divinity. That PDP 'has not performed in 12yrs' does not mean GEJ can not perform in 4 yrs,he can if he wants & dats why i say he must perform or he faces mass revolt.2ndly,d inclusion of my numbr in d post is not 4 any 'cash'.gosh, how can u evn think like dat?who is goin 2 bring d cash?i am only tellin u dat whatsover i set out 2 do espcialy 4 d masses,i do it witout fear or favor.how many of u ranting here ve enough gut 2 include ur details in ur posts?u hide unda fictitious identities 2 insult pple's sensibilities.can u be real like me! 3rdly,i'm not pre-empting d result of d presidential poll by sayin dat GEJ 'seems headin 4 victory',i see wit my eyes, hear wit my ears,& think wit my head, unlike sum pple here(apology).when i reported a few hrs after d national assembly polls dat 'David Mark was leading wit wide margin',i rcievd d same bashing but now we all know beta.conclusively,i want 2 advice all nairalanders & nigerians in general 2 rmain focused.whosoever emerges president shud be supported,& if such a president fails 2 deliver,we shud not hesitate 2 give him d Tunisian & Egyptian treatment - mass revolt!

I am just returnin 4rm d polling booth where i voted & waited patiently 4 the counting & announcement of the result.i voted 4 Gudluck Jonathan mainly because of the percieved hand of God in d whole thing. The die is cast & GEJ appears 2 be heading 4 victory. At the polling unit where i voted & others visited,i saw patriotic Nigerians waiting patiently, not minding d scorching sun, whirlwind, rainfall & bomb scare 2 cast their votes 4 'Gudluck'.They believe him. They luv him. They like him.He is their partyman.etc.Their expections are high, indeed vry high!Nigerians re in dire need of basic amenities especially power, quality but affordable health & education,& a violent crusade against corruption. These re our rights & we must have them.My note of warning 2 GEJ however include;(1)if after 2yrs of his administration,d power sector does not improve significantly, there shall be a massive revolt against him.(2)I am d Founder & National Cordinator of Graduate Foundation,GRAFO,a non governmental organisation dat empowers our teaming unemployed graduates in d country.I must confess dat d work is overwhelming considering d alarming number of unemployed persons we re dealing with. The unemplyment crisis in Nigeria is destroyin d most important people-d youth,& we dare 2 say without fear or favor dat we will not hesitate 2 mobilize d millions of unemployed persons in this country to d streets if a well-laid plan 4 job creation is not drawn & implemented within d next 1 & half yrs. This is not a time 4 rhetorics, politickin & executive rascalism. It is a time 4 action;it is a time 2 work!Enough is enough!! PoliticsSenator David Mark: Why All The Hatred For Him? by 1luvkipsus(op): 4:39pm On Apr 11, 2011
When I posted on Saturday night that the Senate President, Sen. David Mark was leading his rivals with wide margin(https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=642956.msg8090061#msg8090061), some unscrupulous elements, especially the ill-equipped and confused guys from Saharareporter posted lies, deceit and falsehood with the intent to mislead the populace that Sen. Mark was losing 'so bad' to Onoja. I didn't waste my precious time countering their falsehood because I knew the whole truth would soon be made known. My phone rang all through the night; patriotic Nigerians sympathetic to Mark called me from within and outside the country to get the minute by minute results as they trickled in. I didn't disappoint them as I was patient enough to give them the results as they came in.

On Sunday evening at about 05:10, the Returning Officer of the Benue South Senatorial district made public the result of the Senatorial election; AND SENATOR DAVID MARK WON!!!!!! He beat his closest opponent, Gen. Lawrence Onoja with a very wide margin. And case closed!!

But this afternoon, my phone began to ring again. This time, it is not to get details of the results but desperate calls to confirm "IF IT IS TRUE THE ELECTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED"? I can feel the fear, pains and anger in the voices of the callers. They are angry that the free and fair election, which saw the re-election of Sen. David Mark is 'cancelled'. They are angry with ACN and other peddlers of fake news and rumours. To God be the glory, I have been able to calm down their nerves.

But, who is behind all these lies? Must we lie every time? I want to use this medium to inform the general public that SEN.DAVID MARK'S ELECTION HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED!!! The election has been described as free and fair by all the gladiators, and those who lost have already congratulated David Mark. I want the House to disregard this evil and malicious rumour, it is only aimed at misleading the populace. The Senate President remains the political godfather of Idomaland, he can not lose an election so easily. His popularity is non negotiable.

To those who showed much solidarity, it is thank you! To those who posted lies and deciet, it is a pity!
You can always reach me on 08065224596.
