I feel for him aswell, being lost in a foreign country is scary. he asked any black person he met for help, they gave him money and he couldn't even use it. This situation has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him.

As a novice that newly came to UK on the promises of securing him a job. He wouldn’t have started looking for alternatives if what was promised to him was done. Why would he be seeking asylum if for example the ekweremadus treated him very well? And gave him a job or even enrolled him in a school?

Even me at my age, if ekweremadu with his good and church mind decides to support me with a very good paying job in Nigeria, I wouldn’t live in UK.

And before you say further, I don’t live in Nigeria and where I live is a very comfortable and good country.

I practice in the US so I’m not versed on UK law but I’m almost positive that after the trial, this young man can sue Ike Ekeweremadu and his wife for damages due to mental anguish, etc. Because Ike owns property in Nigeria, the UK, and the US, the young man stands a good chance of winning, recovering enough damages to have him set for life. Nigeria might not seize and liquidate their properties but the UK and the US will.
I pray an honest and ethical Nigerian or other barrister in the UK helps him.

The UK government are helping him I believe. I think he has a case for asylum. It's not so easy to ship him back.

From what I know, people that are victims of trafficking are granted permanent residence.
