Funny thing about UK is no one really goes about defining your race or your gender for you. You can have tits on your chest and call yourself a man and it is discrimination for anyone to say otherwise.

Most blacks with any amount of black will tell you they are black even if they look full caucasian. And if you look black, a caucasian will assume you are black, though they may never say it unless they are racists. Most just see each other as human beings unless you are popo doing stop and search.

In most developed countries, you would be often reminded of your race when you fill out job applications, apply for benefit, apply for government assistance e.t.c you would be told to tick your race on application forms, some mandatory and some optional: White, black African, black Carribean, white African, mixed race (and what type of mix e.t.c)
