If Chelsea put up half as good a performance as Liverpool did,they would do better.

Which Rijkaard are you talking about? Is it the same Rijkaard that relegated Sparta Rotterdam?

I said it before and I'll say it again. Rijkaard was extremely lucky to have the best squad in the World by a country mile. Since I started watching football, the only team that comes close is the Milan squad of the early 90's. Look at what a relative novice like Guardiola is doing with the same squad (minus Ronaldinho) and then come back and tell me that Rijkaard is a qualified manager. I will take LFS over Rijkaard anyday. If you proffer Rijkaard's Champions League win as evidence of his competence, I can also proffer LFS' World Cup win as evidence of his competence. It is still a mystery as to how that Barca team failed to win anything in the last two years of Rijkaard's reign. Rijkaard is just lucky that Ronaldinho, Messi, Guily etc were at his disposal and all on form at the same time. He was also lucky to have Henk Ten-Cate to mould his squad into shape. As soon as Henk Ten-Cate left, the pressing game of the team dissapeared, the fitness dropped and the defence became immeasurably weaker. It is quite obvious that Ten-Cate was the brains behind that team, not Rijkaard. If Rijkaard can underperform with that squad, what will he do with Chelsea's squad? We will not even finish in top-half. lol. Rijkaard's teams are known for conceding two goals a game quite regularly. When Jose left Chelsea, teams were qeueing up to sign him. Who is qeueing up for Rijkaard? His next stop will be FC Twente. Abegi, make I hear word.

Scolari is deficient as a coach if he cannot get his players to give their all on the pitch.

Failing tactics or inability to adapt to formations is one thing, but lacking passion and drive on the football pitch is another all together.

That shows the coach is not even motivating his players and they have no confidence in his ideas. That, is a genuine failure. Even Grant got the players to hassle and fight and battle all through games till the very end. Why not under Scolari?

And please don't give me age, tiredness or Grant had other players as excuses. Scolari cannot seem to inspire this side to even battle anymore. No last minute assault on the Hull goal, no daredevil footie throwing everything plus the kitchen sink at the opposition. Just the same tame sideways passing with no penetration.

Our problem is inability to finish up chances created.
How many times this season have we seen Chelsea create lots of chances without finishing?
If we had a Torres or even a Rooney, things would have been different.
Scolari's tactics is what is defective.
LFS is the problem now b'cos he's attacking brand of football isn't working.
We need to go back to our defensive approach and counter at the break using the flanks.
The speed of Kalou, J.Cole and even Q is enough to put any defence in disarray.
Ashely and Bosingwa have no business playing attacking football thereby leaving our back open.
No wonder Terry and Cech have been made to look like amateurs this season.

scolari, needs to understand that this is england and not brasil. english football does not care about anything technical. football. as long as you are strong and can run then u r very likely to be successful in the premiership.
