Well, let's say it's because the profession is a well respected one sha. Especially in Nigeria and other parts of the world adding to the fact that they earn well too..

As a person, I dont fancy male doctors. Not like fancy fancy but I wont date nor marry one because he's a medical doctor. I don't see the hype there and I think it's because I'm in the field as well.

I love the mathematical aspect of life that's why I opted for Engineering. Although my field has less maths compared to other Engineering fields, I still love it..

But I think most women are attracted to doctors because they seem to be very responsible. Hardly you see a doctor that smokes, drink-to-drunk, late night and all. They are highly paid and intelligent too. Most are neat and have a very good sense of hygiene. As people who are very conversant of the human anatomy it gives them the extra advantage in the bedroom too lol.
