InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds by 234ng44uk(m):
Here's a summary of my experience so far:
Axamansard: Same day funding and redemption, low interest rate currently at 12.7%. They pay exactly what they quote on their website.
ARM: Slow funding, it could take up to a week to see fund reflect in your account however, interest is paid for all the days since fund was acknowledged. 48-72hrs redemption, similarly, interest is paid for all the days since redemption activation to payment day. My major turn off with ARM was that they quote a certain higher interest on their website but pay lower rate comparable to axamansard.
FBN Quest: It took forever to accept my KYC documents. I tried their edge app and application was approved. Payment from their edge app attract extra charges, you have to use a debit card of your bank is not on the list of the financial institution of their payment partner. Surprisingly First Bank isn't on that list. I paid by card and it took 48 hours for fund to reflect on my account, interest payment started on 3rd day after payment. No interest were paid for all the 2 days fund spent with them since acknowledgement of receipt. No experience with redemption yet but I expect it to be slow, and interest will most likely not be paid for the number of days it took from redemption request to eventual payment. Their rate is good though, they offer the best rate, currently 13.3%
Stanbic IBTC: Everything with them appears to be "in-between". Their rate is lower than FBN Quest but higher than those of axamansard and ARM. They don't offer same efficiency as axamansard but are better than FBN Quest.
Summary:
I'll choose axamansard for short term investment but FBN Quest for long term investment as their higher interest rate will compensate for all the time fund is idle with them. I'll choose Stanbic if I'm not really sure of what I wanted. These are my opinion from personal experience, you don't need to agree with it but I know someone will find it useful.

That's so not true. Have been operating my money market account with them since last year and Axa has never done same day subscription for me. Even when I subscribe as early as 8am that day. I have tried with the app and bank transfer with my name and account id and it's always the same Story.

For me Stanbic still remains the best, same day subscription and redemption.

FBNQuest Capital is terrible. Subscription takes a minimum of 48hours, that's if u are lucky a enough to do it on a weekday and not too close to the weekend (Friday), in that case it takes more than three days. Redemption is even worse, sometimes u have to follow up with emails and calls. It's borderline terrible.
I don't share your experience with axamansard, I still think they are the best in prompt service. I had same day funding and redemption. I fund my account multiple times by using my customer ID as payment reference. Although I have liquidated my fund with them in preference for FBN Quest for better rate. However, I don't enjoy the same prompt service anymore. It took 4 days to fund my account with FBN Quest and interest started on 5th day compared to same day with Axamansard. If it takes a similar long period of time to redeem my fund with them when I need it then I'll lose money for all the days my fund has been idle. This will most likely cancel out the 0.6% interest rate difference.

We are in the month of may
02/04/19 is one month not same day
Oh! Sorry, one month delay in fund activation is really unheard of. I thought you made a mistake with the date and implied 02/05/19. You need to speak with their customer care asap. That is so unusual.

You subscribed on 02/04/19 and fund reflect same day. Only axamansard can do that. Others would take at least 48hours.
Regarding interest, you don't get interest paid the same day you fund an account.

Good luck to you too
For this year, the scoring grade for MSC is
First class - 30 marks, (second class - 24 marks)
Sop - 25 marks
Award - 10 marks
Publication - 5 marks
O level - 30 marks.
Making - 100 marks.
These are all speculations, wild speculations. Kindly state only facts here please. We can safely assume same guide as last year's until we see a copy of the scoring guide for this year like we have for previous years.

I think you should let sleeping dogs lie. The conversation you're trying to resurrect happened over a month ago and the persons involved have since moved on. What's the point of this exactly?
I'm just catching up on the thread, that is why my response is coming late. The antagonism to that landing gist from White ass lickers is just so hurting when @titiclassy might have been a victim of racial discrimination. I took time to respond to you because you cut across as someone with a good head. Not like the other frustrated low-life

Hi,

I do have a problem with hasty conclusions and in such cases, I always ask for clarity - exactly what I did and what any reasonable person should do.

I'm not arrogant neither am I an oversabi. I'm an open-minded and expressive individual who's not afraid to ask if things seem unclear.

Being able to express one's self without the need to throw insults is a life skill. You should learn it.

Stay well.
You're trying to be smart but clearly you're not. You clearly knew she doesn't speak "Dutch or whatever language they speak in Frankfurt" because she stated that all she heard were the English words "It's not fair". You're this "open-minded individual who's not afraid to ask if things seem unclear" but your motives are very clear, that is to discredit her while giving the White racist a full benefit of the doubt. I lived in Europe long enough to know people like you, inferior White skin worshiper.

Zutlin:
I personally cannot come to such a strong and sensitive conclusion by hearing 'It's not fair' after so much have been said in some other language. I though she understood the language and I was going to say she should have reported the airline staff before boarding her flight - just so the offender is called to order and stopped from doing same to someone else. undecided
You have a problem. Arrogance and oversabi is one of them. But the oga patapata of it all is lack of comprehension, next time just read between the lines slooooowly. First, priority was called for those with infants there's no logical explanation to explain why they will then be told to step aside after coming forward, of course you'll know this if you've boarded flights before. Secondly, they speak Dutch in the Netherlands not in Frankfurt, Germany. And moreover, it's not your landing gist nor is it your racism so why carry this matter on your head like gala?

That's not true tho, About 12,000 candidates were selected for MSc per state. And about two/three will be chosen at the final round per state

Hello guys, I am one of the successful candidates for uk phd last year and I will be here from time to time to answer you Qs.
For those wondering if PTDF will secure admission for you, NO they won't, you will be responsible for securing admissions yourselves for all the overseas scholars.
Secondly, I will advice for you guys to chill and get the award 1st then worry about getting admissions later, cause I assure you, admissions won't be a problem once you have sponsorship (I got mine in 4 weeks and its a phd in univ of Manchester).
Lastly, once you have the award, you are free to change university of choice so far as the university is among the ptdf approved ones (it doesn't have to be the one applied for while submitting ptdf application), for uk scholars at least, don't know of other countries.
Good luck guys it shall all come to pass
Thank you for stopping by and giving this very helpful insights. You've confirmed that one can change university, that's a relief. Could also please confirm if one can change research topics too along the line?

The cut off marks for shortlisting for my state was 60.
Taking note of class of degree, olevel, awards and publications with olevel grades carrying the bulk of the marks.

With the formula , a first class graduate with weak olevel stands no chance against a 2.1 graduate with reasonable A' s and B's
Says who?

I didnt say i know it all,
i just chatted with their help desk, the said 24 hours for online and 48 hours for manual.
Well, this one is online and it took 46 hours. I've received the fund so I'm happy. 46hours instead of stated 24hours isn't that bad in the Nigerian context.
I'll do this for every Asset Manager I have my fund with so others could be informed.

Lets be objective, what is their maximum redemption time line?

I ask because most investment house state it very clear that redemption take 24 hours, 3 working day, 5 working days etc, whatever is the case they always state it so that customers know, it will be wrong if the gave you a maximum of 5 working days and you come here and start counting time when its not yet up to the agreed time.
Since you know it all, why don't you tell us what they state as their maximum redemption period and then compare that to how long it has taken yet redemption isn't complete

I redeemed my mmf with axamansard. It took about 8 hours to receive fund. Currently waiting for ARM, it's almost 24 hours now since I submitted the request. We need this type of information to decide who to invest with and who to avoid.

Regarding mmf redemption. Since most Assets Managers don't complete redemption request within 24hours sometimes it could take more than a week, do they add interest for all the numbers of days it took to process redemption request?

A friend of mine got sponsored by his church in UK for a Tier 2 work visa. All he is doing is to play keyboard for them and he sometimes play at party and tungba places
@francoteeboy2626 I also know a friend's hubby in the UK just as described by jelmusboy. First see if your church is on the list of tier 2 visa sponsors, then you will need talk to your local pastor. I see Redeems, white garment churches and CACs especially on that list. It's difficult to get drummers there which is a good ground to offer tier 2 visa.

Nigeria is a failed country. Having meet all the requirements yet they can’t shortlist someone. Things would never change in this country
For every requirement you met there's someone who supercedes that. Don't be cocky, they can't shortlist everyone just because they met the minimum requirements.

If you want to receive yourselves the stress of checking minutes and not seeing your interest..especially for those using Stanbic IBTC asset management. What you should do is screenshot your account daily by 12 - 1.00 p.m every day excluding Sundays.. Pay more attention to what you see on Mondays because the interest credited is alway for two days..both Saturday and Sunday.

I am saying this because I just noticed that lots of people do not take their time to notice the interest credited in their account daily...

Monitoring my mmf closely now, sometimes I notice they skip payments even on weekdays if you don't take note. At times they pay in the morning sometimes in the night, sometimes late in the night, you will even get confused which day the payment is for? Just that some are still doing better now in terms of rates than tbills. I still have one that post 13.2 percent as at today.
Problem is that i-invest can't pay you interest that high. You'll also forfeit 30% of your interest in you liquidate before maturity.

@Ibrahim505, did u mean u moved all your tbills to them now? Am thinking of doing same thing again. I initially moved some of my tbills to Mmf and downloaded the apps for the different mutual funds too. But of recent I don't seem to understand how these mutual funds post their daily interest unlike the I invest app that post every 12am.
The mmfs are so dodgy I'm seriously considering moving all my funds from there. They state an interest on their website then pay lower, they skip payments for weekends and some days. Just waiting for tbills to pick up again.
