The lady’s confidence has been bastardised. I will be surprised if that lady can give any speech on any stage again. Except she goes thru rehab. I believe God is about to promote her with this disgrace given to her by her own pastor. She was disgraced because the pastor didn’t like the negative financial impact the badly worded English spoken by the lady will do to his international and local audiences.
I implore all well meaning Lawyers in the house to help the lady fight the case by suing the pastor for all the offences that can be linked to mental demoralisation and abuse of confidence. And also demand an apology for calling her a liar.
If your English no Behind…. No go climb stage give testimony wey go spoil pastor business ooooo |

socialmediaman: For context:
This N226 naira per KPH is about 15 cents per kilowatt hour. The minimum wage in Nigeria is N30,000 monthly
North Dakota pays about 10 cents per kilowatt hour. Minimum wage in North Dakota is $7.25 per hour (N1.3 million naira monthly).
Texas pays about 15 cents per kilowatt hour. Minimum wage in Texas is $7.25 per hour (N1.3 million naira monthly). At least air peace owner already told us that ₦200k per month in nigeria is better than £2000/month in london. So this should not be a problem i guess. At the end it will all balance out. |

immortalcrown: Selective justice.
The madness is usually identified and addressed with immediate effects when influential people are affected.
If not the big name of the guy, only the poor would have spent weeks carrying placards on streets or nagging on X. But as a big name is involved, the concerned authority is not deaf, dumb and blind. That is why the KFC branch is quickly shut down, not minding how the closure will affect the employees. If the guy was of a poor background, you will hear, "Go to court". Even in the court, the judgement will take eternity.
I am not in support of what the KFC branch did to the guy. In fact, I didn't even pay attention to the trend. But I don't celebrate selective justice. I agree with you absolutely. |

MT: Once you are stuck for 5 years on a job, it has become your career.
You wont have time to pursue any other things.
Care work is intense, draining and frustrating with 12-hour shift.
Changing career will be almost mission impossible after 5 years People do very well. Getting certifications from their desired skills and doing online courses. Once they get ILR, they move to the sector. Even if to start again. They can still do care by the side though. Since they are no more tied to any COS. but i know someone who loves d care job. As in that is what she wants to do. She even wants to open a care home when she comes back to nigeria to settle. Her passion is taking care of the old before they pass on and ensuring they are happy in their last days. |

Only care workers are affected, as much as I can see from that story.
Doctors and nurses are not affected.
GOV.UK is your friend. Yes correct. Only carers and support workers on code 6145 and 6146 are affected. This is because it is d main job people do to get COS without any special qualifications (just show u can care for people). It is d easiest route for masters graduates to get COS before they settle on the profession of their choice ( after completing the COS period). |

Calitoscassius: What? Really? Errr.. i don't think so, for real? Are you serious?! They are deporting the families of those who are already in the UK? After letting them come in the first place? So that means only the worker stays? Where did you get this infor. From? I am curious. Check migrant D and F scenarios. You will see in D that dependents of students cant switch if application is made after march 10, also in F if the dependent become main applicant and applies after march 10,d student can’t switch with the dependent. Same scenario but vice versa. What they want now is dependent must have his or her own cos. But everything is silent of child dependents. As time goes on, it will ne clearer.

StOla: You think they do anything for your own benefit?
UK will use you and after 30years, all you can claim to your name is that you have pension to pay rent.
Once they detect that immigrants are taking up juicy jobs they have envisioned for Citizens only, they come up with another policy.
Very smart people who know how to use others to make their country work.
Till today, I cannot count 5 Nigerians who made it big in UK outside of sports. Even the Nigerians in UK entertainment had to go to the USA to make it big.
All are just surviving.
Same cannot be said about the USA and the opportunities that abound for legal migrants.
Nigerian professionals change jobs in the US as fast as a dirty area boy changes his boxers. But for UK, Segun and Emeka still work in the same company that managed to employ them 10years ago without anything tangible to show for it.
Lose that UK job, and you will know that there are no other jobs to get in the UK.

Yuck! Uk is not for people who want to make it BIG. People come here to get the “basic” amenities and live a “simple” life that is not available in Nigeria . Even their citizens don’t plan to make it big. Average salary in uk is £2000 (even for their citizens who have been working for 10 years). It is the capitalist mentality ( USA) to make it “big” hence the mindset of “winner takes it all” practiced in USA. very few British citizens have savings but do take care of every basic need. |

Not just the new arrivals. They want to start deporting people who legally entered last year as dependents. Those are the 120,000 he is talking about. If the dependents want to stay, they should also go and look for sponsorship. |
