@the bolded; wouldn't be surprised if writer actually wanted to write "we are visiting HER uncle"! "Her" is her, "his" is his. Na beg we dey, make we dey put eye for ground look well if we dey write. By the time person talk now, Una go say "Professor!" or "English no be our mother tongue". Hian!
I don't think it was because of what they said but what they filled.

God bless u sister ucystan for that well documented transcript. Gold standard mehn! If I get the authority to mark transcript na 100% r gee u. grin
No be all this salary : bla
What do u do : I told him

Actually, the time question was to observe the demeanour of your husband. He had asked him some questions eg the salary question where he faltered a bit. Then after answering the other questions, he wanted to compare his body language with an unplanned question and the ones he clearly must have expected. Psych 101.
Congrats

[quote author=LadyGuinivere post=44695565]@Tiwa I agree with the above 2 posters. Your visa can actually be decided on the form you filled alone. So without u having convinced the vo about home ties (work, travel history etc) you guys' conflicting answer cinched the refusal.

Abi did you mistype the reply you guys gave the vo?[

My cousin was interviewed last week, he shared his transcript with me yesterday.
VO: What are your plans in the US?
Cousin: For professional development on contract management and negotiation.
VO: At where?
Cousin: xyz................in Minnesota
VO: Tell me more about it?
Cousin: It focuses on the ability to negotiate for contracts using managerial skills. This training will help me........VO cuts in:
VO: Who is Gabriel P at xyz?
Cousin: Never had contact with him, except for Michael B........ who is the information specialist.
VO: How did you find out about this training?
ME: It was recommended to participants during a government organised workshop on contract management in Abuja by Mr. xyz, head of physical planning federal university of xyz in Nigeria.
VO: And why are you going?
Cousin: To effectively manage legal risks in commercial contracts and to perfect my skills on how to structure arguments in favour of my company. This training also helps. VO cuts in again ok! Ok!!...........Typed for 2minutes. Sip coffee!
VO: Going to the US for a training is very expensive especially at this time.
Cousin: Luckily this training is affordable at this time, but the September session is very expensive and unaffordable.
VO: What do you do?
Cousin: I am a project manager and my company's area of speciality is procurement and installations of engineering equipment and agricultural hand tools for tertiary institutions!.
VO: You work with a school?
Cousin: No, I own my company for five years, it was established after I have worked for two years in a family owned engineering company as a PM.
VO: Have you travel out of Nigeria before?
Cousin: Yes, S.A, UAE and UK.
VO: Are you married?
Cousin: Yes, with two sons age 9&4.
VO: How long have you been married?
Cousin: 8 Years
VO: 8 years? Surprised!!! Oh! you look young.
Cousin: Thank you. I was 23 when I married my course mate immediately we graduated in 2008.
VO: Where does your wife work?
Cousin: She was retrenched from the bank 11 months ago and now training in a fashion school.
VO: How much does she earn monthly?
Cousin: she doesn't work anymore. I worked out a percentage for her from my profit.
VO: How much is your monthly earnings and how much do you give her?
Cousin: 255k and I give her 50k or more (bros don confuse this time)
VO: You said you have two sons?
Cousin: Yes, peter&paul (pseudonym) he was surprised at this question again.
VO: you must be a proud dad at 33.
Cousin: smiles( e nor reach belle after two rejections 2013 & 2015)
VO: Typed for about 30 seconds. Flip through passport. Ok, thank you for applying, your visa is approved, wish you best of luck.
Cousin: you said ma'am (he though vo mentioned sorry)
VO: your visa is approved. Good luck.
Cousin: Hallelujah! Thank you ma'am, thank you ma'am.

Hello, please advise me, whilst filling out my US visitor's visa form, a section there asks information about my spouse. He's in Canada and I've applied for Canadian visit visa twice (once before wedding and once after wedding), unfortunately I was refused on both occasions. Now will the fact that my husband is in Canada be a disadvantage for my US visa application? Will the VO think I won't return to Nigeria seeing that we do not have any kids yet?

I can't tell u what may be a disadvantage but I can authoritatively tell you it will BE more disadvantageous for you to withold information. I know loads of people with no kids but have visas. Have u read transcripts here? Somebody with a kid was just denied.
Fill your form correctly. Your whole circumstances are weighed. I know this isn't what u want to hear BUT even if u get denied, reapplication won't be a hassle next time cos u won't have the burden of keeping track of your lies

Good morning all
I want to state what we have gone Tru in the past and where we are presently
In 2013 and 2014 Jan we were denied visa 4 medical base on B1 which I believe might be our mistake den becose we both applied on B1 but after the denial and the birth of our baby in 2014 my wife and son went to UK for 4 months in 2014 and I also got a 2yrs visa I also used in February 2015 which was not our 1st time in the UK. We decided we visit a family friend for the next vacation we have now applied on B2 for me, wife and son. Want to know what people feel about the past application and the future interview coming up dis month end and any advice that can be rendered towards the application we plan visiting in July by then I will be on my annual leave

I am a master student in one of the university in Turkey. I planned to attend a conference in the US as part of my research for my final thesis. My question is, who should I fill as my sponsor bearing in mind that I am cabable of financing my trip but as a student I think this will raise an eye brows. Should I use my mum account or my brother account. Thanks.

Sorry about the refusals Wumni.
Your question is vague really. People get denied and then get visas. Without knowing the reason why one was refused, nobody can give u any cogent advice. Howevr all I can say is read this thread to learn from the transcripts and avoid common pitstops and mistakes in form filling and the interview and most important be 100 percent honest in your application. Its hard work but worth it
Only u can self evaluate your ties. Nobody can tell you your chances.

I wasn't asked any questions on my no-show application where I applied for child birth in June last year, I don't think no show applications count, I think it is when you attend the interview and your case file is opened then you have your records on their computer, my mum too once had a no show application and she wasn't asked anything near the information she filled then.
chloe dear please sent u a pm, plz respond... Thanks

Question: Who I sponsoring the trip?
Answer: You
Question: why do you want to put somebody else?
Answer: Because you are afraid it will raise eyebrows

So I ask these few questions
Is this not the type of thing that people come and confess about? I was afraid so I lied?
Do you think it is proper for us to tell you to lie?
Anyways. Why do you think it will raise eyebrows that you are sponsoring yourself? Is your money obtained illegally? you are graduate student right?
Have you considered that being able to pay For yourself (if your other circumstances are combined) may count in your favour?
Anyways my conclusion is whatever is the true position, please state it thus.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by terrywales: 3:23pm On Apr 17, 2016
Happy Sunday my sister, Actually, my brother is paying for my ticket and he has already paid the money in my account. I never intend to lie as a matter of fact, either myself, my brother has a good financial account. Why I suggested my brother is the fact that presently, I am a full time student and I am not working either. I had some cash fixed before I left Nigeria and the money has been paid to my account. So my account is in a good shape. Thanks for your advice.

Morning house, I need help on this matter.

I got rejected on March 4th. I was actually going for a conference on church management which doesn't tally with my job description. I work as the General Manager in an Agro processing Company, Also, I have my own personal registered company but did not filled that in my DS form. My company is into Animal Husbandry, Livestock feed production.

I want to reapply now to go for a conference next month on Animal Agriculture. Wouldnt it raise a red flag if I filled in my job description that I am the Managing Director of .........company when I already filled in the last DS form that am the General Manager of ......... company??
