Miss Bon, u don't need to worry about nysc anything. I am supposed to finish NYSC in October but I applied anyway and now I am in Canada. So you don't need to worry or make any reference to nysc just submit everything else besids you finished school not so long ago so they wouldn't ask about the gap.

So ehen, I ave gotten flight departing on the 25th of this month. Emirates to New York sha. Cost 262,000. Then from New York I wud try and see if I can get any flight from JFK or laguardia airport. Maybe dem west jet or porter wud sell to me at the counter.

Just lef CDHC was able to collect all my docs and TRV now heading back to the airport for my flight back to Abuja.

Guys, please when going to CDHC, do you have to drop stuff like phones, bags, other electronics. Or can you go with them since you wouldn't be entering the embassy or it is still not permitted for anyone to take any of those items to the outside of CDHC....?

Going to CDHC tomorrow. Coming from Abuja need to pick my docs and wud be back to Abuja.

I just read through most pages and from what I've seen I wud just like to say (in my own opinion) that some things that CDHC might do may not actually have as deep a meaning as we think. There's no need to start brainstorming and trying to discover what most likely might not be there. Lets just follow the instructions given and hope for the best. Yes I know it's not easy to just do that but, at the same time trying to give so much meaning or reason to an action that has ben taken by another person is very risky. You might overshoot or undershoot. Just stick to the basic instructions given. There's no better trick or sure way of getting a visa. Everything is a risk even when you follow instructions to the last letter. So please just keep things simple. Fee payment or no fee payment just do exactly what they say, if you aren't comfortable with any instruction they have given you then feel free to question them at their office.

Was asked to send additional documents by email. Replied to the address (re-lagos..) with a scan of the additional documents but got no response other than auto reply.

Was thinking of sending them physically along with my passport cos I wasn't given any instructions about passport. What do you think?

Well yeh you can use courier but stick to what they ask u to do sha. And I addressed my package to the visa section of CDHC. And I put a letter of explanation to explain the purpose of the package and also attached the copy of the email that requested me to send the additional docs.

Guys!! Like how long does it take them to answer/attend to someone at CDHC. I wanna go pick up my passport and the extra docs I submitted. Like how many hours would I spend there before I collect. Just need a ruff time estimate.

Okay house this is a pretty difficult time for me to get confused after getting TRV. My program Strts September. On the admission letter they sed September to August 2014 and they sed 2semesters. But on the general school timetable they put it as first smemester starts sept and ends December then second semester starts January and ends April. So wait!! I don't even know when my program is going to end again. The school site and admission letter r contradicting each other. When I d finish ohh?

Onye oma: My people, let's reason this case logically...the following is my reason on why CDHC asks the applicant to pay tuition fee:
-Committment to the reason of ur coming into Canada

Has it ever crossed anyone's mind that if Mr A gets his visa without paying his tuition fee, he can reach Canada and decide to start up something else

N/B: Schools do not refund unless you give them concrete reasons for refund such as getting an admission with another school (cos they invited you to Canada,and any if anything goes wrong,they'll be accountable)

I don't feel financial capability is a reason cos they've already ascertained one's status while processing the documents.

Based on the points above, I feel tuition fee payment after being called for medicals is a pre-requisite for obtaining visa.

I've never seen anyone that was issued a TRV since part 1 of this thread without paying his/her tuition fee except the person is on scholarship (I stand to be corrected if am wrong).

Its way too risky to take any chance @ dis stage of ur application process...

But if @ d end of the day,it is proved otherwise, then it can adopted ßuђ before then,don't be the 1st to try it ooo,let others that don't know abt this thread try it out 1st.

My candid opinion.

It isn't a prerequisite. Situations vary. For example they ask some pple to pay for board but as for me I wasn't asked to pay for board. Instead I was asked to pay for tuition and then submit bank statements again. So as you can see situations vary.

GboyegaD: Read through the content and log on to your page to view if the letter of introduction is there. Also, did you submit by hand, if yes, you may have to go pick it up yourself in the case that you did not include the self address return envelope.

Yeah I've got my introduction letter. I've read it.

I have read so many stuffs about apying tuition before TRV and all of that. I need somebody to explain to me vividly what it entails. Before my paper application on April 29th, I pay half of my full fees (one semester) and the receipt was included with application. At this level, if fortunately I am done with Medicals, do you think CDHC will still ask me to pay the remaining one semester or I should pay it without been advised by the CDHC?

Don't you think it's easier to get a refund on one semester's fee than a year's fee (God forbid if you get rejected at the embassy) cuz you would lose less when collecting a refund on a semester's fee in comparison to a year's fee. I think you should just wait for them (CDHC) to tell you wether you need to pay more or not.

Maximip: I thought you used a 2 way mail to send in your passport? If you got it in your CIC account then I guess it has already been reflected on your passport.

Nah I didn't use 2way

Guys do you think my passport would be ready for collection? Because I got the mail in Mycic account on Friday that my visa has been approved. So I'm thinking I should go to Lagos tomorrow or on Friday to go pick the passport. Or is it too early?

Bros, dat Egyptian has 12hr stopover in Cairo den anoda 2-5hrs minimum stopover at heathrow before moving to Toronto. (Some cases I saw 11hrs at heathrow) and the flight costs $2,150 min. So all dat stress and still pay dat much ain't worth it mehn.

Starting a new online application, they asked for a checklist code .. Is it advisable to start a new eligibility test to get a new checklist code or I can use the previous checklist code .

Also, I am willing to pay my school fees as soon as my start date has been changed to January. Is this a good GO for me even before the embassy requested for the fee and board payment.

According to the Visa Officer... He/she was not satisfied with my travel history,what can I do about that ??


Plus those people seem not satisfied that I will leave Canada at the end of my study. How should I go about this ? Even when they said crazy things about my financial status, I knew something was wrong. My sponsor has a good cash flow in his account and he gave me a letter claiming he will be resposible for my school fees and other stuffs. I didn't back it up with his company certificate though.. Advise me on this .

Also my purpose of Visit.. Now,I don't know what they mean by this. I attached my admission letter to the application.

My current employment situation is what they talked about in the letter and also my personal assets and financial status... I want everybody on this please. Give me your opinion and let me know the way forward.

On this forum,I've once seen someone advised to wait for couple of months before starting a new application...Is that necessary ? Also,is it important for my employer to give me his/her statement of account ? What are the things needed from my employer to prove I have been working for the company for a stated period ?
