The current president of Zambia who is currently transforming the country won the presidential election with a party formed less than a year to the polls. Just like Obi, he was mocked when he commenced the project.
Ruto of Kenya also clinched the presidency with a “structureless social media party” he formed after stepping down as the country’s Vice President.
He handed a resounding defeat to a serial contestant and the ruling party’s candidate, Prime Minister Raila Odinga with all incumbency advantage and state machinery.

Buhari with his structureless CPC also ammased 12 million votes in 2011, without having a single councillor anywhere in Nigeria! That number will be more than enough to secure victory for Obi next week with 3 major candidates slugging it out.

I implore you Sir, to do what you know is right by voting for Peter Obi. It’s more honorable to “waste” your vote pursuing a noble cause than to contribute towards plunging our country into a deeper mess by voting renowned thieves.

Comrade I commend the civility in your response. However, unless u are new here, u should know that there is no way the guy u quoted will ever vote for your candidate. The odds are that he might not even vote AA. It's either he is concealing his real candidate to avoid insults or he doesnt even have pvc

We are gradually moving towards an era where party politics and structure will mean nothing. Elections will be won or lost based on the credibility, track records, and popularity of the candidates. Buhari's victory against the incumbent president in 2015 was mostly based on his popularity in the north. PO has done well for himself in 6 months as nothing has envisaged such organic followership with a party as small as LP.
The big boys from the big parties are only relying on their structures whereas the electorates are gradually moving away from party politics. This will eventually be the case when money politics is finally eliminated from our political space.

U are right comrade but I dont see Nigerians falling for such gimmicks afterall to the common man, APC is the cause of all their hardships. The masses now know that APC don't keep promises and wouldnt need anyone to remind them of the past 8 years under Buhari's government. It is easier to convince the common man that APC wants to steal their money with the new policy hence the need to vote them out than convincing them to vote APC to reverse the policy. Besides, we never heard them promise to reverse the old notes during their campaign in imo state yesterday.

Protests will only lead to postponing the elections or constituting an interim government. Who is playing this script?

Baba u clearly missed his message. Now if el rufai would personally be in court to challenge the FG on his inability to command a constable without needing to get the permission of the IG as the chief security officer so as to protect the people of southern kaduna, it would have been better. That's the message he was trying to pass.

I believe the game from BAT and his henchmen is to continue with these adjournments till after the elections. Old notes are still legal tender as we speak hence all looted funds remain valid

I must give it to obedients. They are revolutionalising the electioneering processes in Nigeria. We no longer see politicians sharing rice, salt etc. They no longer roast corn or fry akara by the road side. God willing, we are having a feel of what elections will look like in the future. The stronger your political structure, the bigger the crowd in political rallies. Whether it still translates to votes given the present realities in our political space is yet to be seen.

Obi can't win this 2023 but he stands the best candidate for 2027 which he can easily get with his current rating which he has build. I was in portharcourt last week and was shocked when the bolt driver that I booked (a yoruba man) was advising me to help save Nigeria by voting PO.

The good thing about this election is that either one or two political godfathers will be permanently retired. The political terrain is changing and power is gradually returning to the people. If our electoral process continues to be sanitized, this election may be the last chance saloon for conventional politicians

A free and fair election is a pipe dream in Nigeria. Almost all our politicians rig themselves into power. They can't stay undecided voters without monetary inducements. They have mastered the act of rigging and yet we tag them astute politicians.

The order from the supreme court didn't address any issues at all. It only extended the legality of the old naira notes which most Nigerians have already paid into their accounts. It only favours those who have plenty old notes stashed away in private locations.

In ph here, the average man on the streets irrespective of tribe is fully obedient. I dont know.for other parts of Rivers though. I also don't know if they have pvcs or will even come out to vote on that day.
