Same way most northern youths supported boko and called them freedom fighters because they believed the haramites were bombing churches, killing Christians and embarrassing jonathan. But it wasnt long before the monster grew too strong to be controlled and turned around on its supposed master. Till now Nigeria is still struggling to clean that mess which grew to what it is today due to the tacit support of most northerners. We just never learn from history in Nigeria.
