But where is the conspiracy angle there? Their targets are Chevron (owned by the US), AGIP (owned by Italy), and Shell (UK and Dutch). They're not Muslims, so the Iranian angle is out. And Russia has no interest in Nigeria.

So, where did these clowns pull the conspiracy card from? Unless they want to accuse Israel cos the Israeli did get a lot of contracts from GEJ.

Because the coward Nigerian army has never encountered superior military ops like the boys in the creek which made them think they are dealing with Mercs or higher military power .

We have been mistreated in the South-South and the South-East.

See how the South-East has been insulted with only one position.
And us the South-South the financial pocket of the country with just 6 positions.

meanwhile the North -West alone has more that than both the South-East & South-South put together.

Well please let it be known that

The Military should stop these excuses and get to work.
between they are bunch of lazy sycophant.s that have not been able to gather intelligence on the Boko haram, thus i see them as accomplice on the matter because of financial benefits and not the edification of their name........ Nigeria Army

Let's assume there are foreign sponsors as you claim has govt military response help resolve the crisis Nigeria is losing crude production almost daily and the government is still pursuing the blame game angle when they ought to apply diplomacy.

A wise leader should know that the era of force is long gone when dealing with people who can mar your country's economy, reign easily as the militants are currently doing with the oil pipelines.

You have not said anything. I was thinking u will proffer solutions rather all u did was nag. If indeed its foreign interference, then u shld know that the organ charged with dispelling foreign invaders is the nigerian military. However the President must be careful so we dont end up like syria. Cos that is what they really wont. Forget all that story of negotiating with militants, it wont work. If the militants were after development they wont be blowing up pipeline and terrorizing foreign investment in their region

They tried it with bh, they failed. The raised their puppet nnamdi kanu to use internal conflict, yet it failed. Now they have gone all out to procure militants. Surely any intelligent person can see the handwriting on the wall

Think about it.

If an authorized fighter jet enters the Nigerian airspace, what will happen?

Yeah. Everyone is a sitting duck in Nigeria.

Our military is just clueless. Our defence chiefs think everything is about Guns, gears, Naval ships and aircrafts??

How much more developed are our satellites, how good is The country Electronic warfare ability......

I checked online on how NDA was able to blow up an oil installation with heavy military presence around.
What was the military reaction towards it?
1) That was a no access area
-series of Remote controlled IED are already installed .
2)Missile threat; Aso Rock no biggie as their brother ISIS already threathened WHITE HOUSE and still no success.. I hope the military were concerned about the threat tho... "'Promised to Launch missiles...

A major unrest in the Niger Delta is single-handedly capable of shooting up the global price of crude oil up to $70. Several foreign (oil producing) countries definitely have so much to gain from an unrest in the Niger Delta. At this time however, I choose to disagree that the recent spate of pipeline bombings have any foreign links; this is purely a Nigerian internal socio-political problem.
bros forget that one. Unrest in Niger Delta have not affected oil price for once and wont affect it cos more countries now sell oil.
The slight increase in oil prices last week was caused by fire outbreak at Alberta Oil Field in Canada. Which forced Canada to stop oil exploration & exportation

The unrest in Niger Delta also increased it but, Oil price won't reach the normal benchmark this year which is $100 because Iran sells oil cheaper and produced more than Nigeria daily.

On second thoughts... I think this thread maybe the reason they are blaming western nations and oil companies.

MossadAgent:
This is a clear sign that no multinational company will want to do business with the genocidal APC led govt as this will not be good for their image.

Shell was heavily indicted in the Ogoni crisis which saw Nigerian Soldiers pillage Ogoni land and testified as well in Ken Saro-Wiwa's trial by a kangaroo military Tribunal.

This alone should send signals to those aggitating for another war for oil in the South that it is no longer business as usual.

Why will any oil company risk further bashing of their battered image brand?

On the international scene, I foresee western nations backing any secessionist movement in both the Niger Delta and Biafra as it will be much easier, cheaper and morally expedient to support genuine seccession than support a brutal corrupt central govt of one Nigeria.

This is not 1967 and the world is very much aware of the atrocious civil war waged to keep Nigeria one.

If buhari still has sense in his head he should dust up the confab report and genuinely start the process of its implementation.

That alone can buy Nigeria some extra decades as one nation.

Good to see the boko army is reading our threads here.

Nothing good comes out of Terrorism. All these is because of ethnic and tribal bigotry against President Buhari who did not loot and is recovering looted funds.

While people celebrate and ordain South Eastern/Southern politicians who looted our regions.

Ask those up North who celebrated Boko Haram when it wore a mask of religious and tribal fight. It turned out nothing but pure Evil.

won't be surprised.

I'm sure there are lots of interested parties queueing up to destabilize this country.

it's thoughtful that the FG is mindful of innocent people in the area (though what they are still doing in an area that could turn into a hot bed beats me).

these militants should be caught alive and made a very good example of by executing them, military style (after trial ofcourse) in front of both local and international press.

The problem is that a lot of these people are unexposed illiterates with a mentality stuck in the medieval ages. And they get carried away all the time by some war simulation game the US did about naij time ago. War simulation games are part of the military especially when the country's is volatile, just to test the readiness of the armed forces in case there's need to send troops there for rescue operations and feasibility studies on the best approach to take. That doesn't mean some big country is trying to wage war against ya country. If they want to execute disintegration tomorrow, it won't cost them anything - they will just send some death squads to go into Nigeria, dressed like Nigerians, and their plan would be to carry out simultaneous killings everywhere based on the ethnic fault-lines. The West actually prefer Nigeria the way it's cos they've got the country on the choke-hold and it's very easy to manipulate things in their favour.

With Boko Haram, you can point to some type of conspiracy, based on all the groups that they're linked with in the Sahel. Most of those Islamic groups are death squads working for the CIA, hence they're privy to a lot of information. As for these guys, their backing is inside Nigeria and maybe a bit of training from Israel.

These fools are just confused cos they lack proper military training, reconnaissance, and everything to them is about brute force. They also lack the required equipment/tools to fight counter-insurgency. A normal country would have reconnaissance aircraft flying over that region 24/7, while gathering information - with special forces who have mixed with the civilian population on the group. But these clowns decided to deploy troops there cos brute force is the only language they understand lol. However, when brute force couldn't stop anything - it's time to blame the boogeyman. Effing clowns. grin

Na wa Oh!

Production disruptions in Nigeria have cut up to 1 million barrels per day, yet you think this has no effect, or cannot have an effect on global oil price?.... Are you aware the wildfires in Canada have disrupted just over a million barrels per day, a figure which is very similar to (or even possibly less than) what Nigeria is presently losing to pipeline bombings?

I just can't help but wonder if this is a weird form of inferiority complex for one to think that Canadian (Oyibo) oil disruptions can affect world oil prices, but Nigerian oil disruptions (of similar magnitude) cannot possibly affect oil production. Strange kind of reasoning we encounter daily on Nairaland. undecided
