PDPGuy:

That means the SF coaches will have to deploy a 3-4-3 formation to suit her, which is doable

Yes she will strive very well under that system.. I think she can also play at both flanks.

Deploy her to the Left then Alozie to the Right as our Wingbacks..

Center Back of Ohale, Ebi and Plumptre?

It's going to be a difficult task for Rasheedat Ajibade to keep the Central Midfield position with the return of Halimatu Ayinde almost near, then Christy Ucheibe and Peace Efih are another better Option..

Except Christy Ucheibe is moved to DM to battle it out with Regina Otu

All I want is for Ngozi Okobi to hit her top form again infact better than the 2014 to 2018 we have seen her play for the Superfalcons.

Still remains one of Superfalcons most skillful Player.

We're in touch with her don't worry, she has always chooses Nigeria ahead of Spain. But the problem is she got approached by Spain first..

She wants to play for Nigeria in respect for her mother!

Is the coaching driving for her or the NFF

Halimat is a defensive MF. Rash is an AM. No conflict.
Midfield will be Payne - Halimat - Rash.
Otu and Uchibe can sub.

Point to Note....

Halimatu Ayinde is not a Defensive Midfielder...

She's a Central or a Box to Box Midfielder..

Rasheedat Ajibade isn't even a Central Midfielder, She's primarily an Attacker but can play other positions.

Halimatu Ayinde is a Central Midfielder..

2010-2012 U17 She played Central and Attacking Midfield.

U20 she played Central Midfield, Osarenoma Ogbinovia was the DM..

When she became Superfalcon regular in 2014-2015 under Edwin Okon She played Central Midfield with Evelyn Nwabuoku been the DM

Under Florence Omagbemi in 2016 Rita Chikwelu was our DM with Halimatu Ayinde still the CM and Okobi AM

Under Thomas Dennerby she played Box to Box and DM..

Under Randy Waldrum right now she's a Central Midfielder...go watch the Turkish Cup again and see for yourself!

Clubside at Eskilstuana United she plays two positions Box to Box and DM.. For the past two seasons that was when she started playing DM for United..

How is she a DM??

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 1:50pm On Dec 25, 2021
Christy Ucheibe Plays DM and CM

Regina Otu Plays DM and Box to Box

Peace Efih plays Central Midfield, AM and From the Side..

So think Rasheedat Ajibade can match Christy Ucheibe, Peace Efih and Halimatu Ayinde in the Central Midfield role??

As for Ayinde, Ajibade doesn't go close because she was really inform this past season before she sustained the ACL injury!!!

The problem is not in finding strikers but reliable ones who are at the top of their game and who we can bank on. How many of those do we have from your list?

This List looks so questionable, how come Jeannette Yango who's a Midfielder be put in Defence, she has been playing DM for Cameroon for a year now since Raissa Fudjoe sustained the injury...

Onome Ebi benched?
Had an excellent season with Minsk in Belarus from league games to Champions League games..

Uchenna Kanu missing out is something else to talk about...

I give this list 5/10....

Plumptre cleared to play for Nigeria

World governing football body, FIFA has cleared England-born defender Ashleigh Plumptre to play for Nigeria,

Plumptre had since committed her international future to Nigeria after playing for England at the youth levels. Since then, the Leciester City defender has now gotten her wish as FIFA has approved his move.

This was initially confirmed by the head coach of the Super Falcons, Randy Waldrum, who told SNA that: "I can confirm to you that Ashleigh Plumptre has been cleared by FIFA to play for Nigeria.

"The notice came to us just before Christmas day. It is a good news for the country and the team."

On her part, the Leciester City vice captain also confirmed the development, while expressing huge joy over the opportunity to represent the West African nation.

"The news is true and I'm so excited about it. It really means a lot to me," Plumptre said.

Thank goodness. Ashleigh's switch was fast unlike another Leicester male player whose nationality switch process has been for years now.

OFFICIAL: FIFA Clears Plumptre To Play For Nigeria
8 January 4, 2022 11:41 am

Former England youth international Ashleigh Plumptre gotten approval from FIFA to switch her allegiance to Nigeria.

Plumper, 23, who plays for Women’s Super League side Leicester City, is eligible to represent the African champions because of her father’s Nigerian heritage.

After joining training camps in Austria and Abuja, she has now been cleared by FIFA and is eligible for Nigeria’s 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations play-off against Ivory Coast in February.

“We are happy to receive Ashleigh’s official clearance from Fifa,” NFF director of communications Ademola Olajire told BBC Sport Africa.

It was only possible because of her commitment and dedication. She made the federation’s work a lot easier by providing all the requirements in quick time.

“Ashleigh personally approached the English FA directly to get the required international clearance from that end.

“Her professionalism and unflinching desire to play for Nigeria is honestly heart-warming. That big move on her part obviously helped a lot and prevented the long wait for the FA’s response.”

Plumptre, who has a British mother, had been capped 30 times by England at youth level but qualified for Nigeria through the grandparent rule.

The centre-back needed to prove her eligibility and dedicated three months to acquiring all the required documents – a Nigerian passport and her grandfather’s documents and then officially requesting clearance from the four home nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) as well from Nigerian internal affairs.

“She got all the documents in a few months without being forced or persuaded,” Olajire added.

“We’ve been through this Fifa process with other players in the past and others needed to be reminded. Ashleigh made personal sacrifices to ensure a smooth clearance.”

Plumptre joins a growing list of foreign-born players like Michelle Alozie, Patricia George and Nicole and Toni Payne, who all opted to represent the nine-time African champions.

She has played 25 games this season for Leicester women’s side which she first joined as an eight-year-old.

She previously played in the English top flight with Notts County in 2014 before moving to the United States.

Stints with US college side USC Trojans and LA Galaxy followed, before she returned from studying in January 2020 to play a key role in a memorable season for Leicester.

After she helped the Foxes to the FA Women’s Championship title in 2020-21, Plumptre was voted player of the season and rewarded with a new two-year deal.

Where's that Esther Sunday that could dribble past Defenders with ease?

What went wrong??

Where did she miss it??

She was one of the quickest and arguably the most Skillful from the 2010 U20 set down till 2012 to 2014...

Esther Sunday will be 30yrs by March...

Her problem right from time has always been decision making. It's a part of her game which somehow she couldn't find solutions to. Knowing when to dribble, pass, and shoot is key. Those tiny details are very important.

You're truly a fan of the Women's game, you really followed her game up... She had potentials but didn't get there!..

Esther will dribble past Four defenders at once and play rubbish at the End..

I remember her also. I expected she would partner very well with Ordega, with either at different sides of the wing. Another excellent winger was Vera Okolo (for ogwologwos like us 2003 All African Games and 2002 Olympics), she was Perpetua Nkwocha's class but she was injured.

There was also a defensive winger in the 2010-2012 class, Mabel I guess who just disappeared.

But Esther was a very skilful winger. I think she was as skilled as Okobi honestly. Nigeria simply lack talents management

I think I should say her Coaches after her discovery 2010, Starting from the year 2012 till date didn't do her much favour working on her abilities.. Her Coaches Failed her Or she refused to learn??

Point to Note, Esther Sunday was the most Skillful Players among her set from 2010 but all those skills I nor see where them go.

Here's another player with similar problem to Esther Sunday. Her name is Lady Andrade Rodríguez from Colombia very Skillful too but nothing at the end.

Ngozi Okobi was among the 2010 U17 FIFA Women's World Cup discovery in Trinidad and Tobago alongside Fransisca Ordega, Loveth Ayila, Jane David, Ugo Njoku.

Their Goalkeeper then Amina Abu played in Belarus from the year 2012-2013 but didn't hear about her again...
