Morning Dr.... Please I have peptic ulcer and it really disturbing on a daily basis, have tried omeprazole and gecrol suspension all to know avail. Please is there something else I can take, thanks in anticipation
I actually do not recommend the use of Antacid suspensions with any of the Proton pump inhibitors. Antacid often by my observation render them less efficient and sustains the peptic ulcer disease for a long time. Except you are using the antacid for side management, it is advisable that you don't use it together with the Omeprazole.

Mean while, get to see a doctor for special review to your medications. He may see the need to have you placed on a "Triple Therapy " management plan for your PUD instead of just mixing up treatment plans on your own.

Good day doc, and thanks for the good things you and your team are doing here.
Please Doc, my wife always take in anytime we have romance even without sex, this thing is really giving us problem, please is there any medication for correction of this problem, and what are they?
Parthenogenesis has not been shown to occur in humans and certainly proven, an ordinary romance couldn't just have led to conception.

You may need to give us details about this romance of yours. If your detail of description does not involve an intromission by the penis into the vagina at any level, then there is more to your wife's pregnancy than you know.

Hi
If all investigations are normal, I suspect it could be a kind of functional neurology disorder. This means although there isn’t any physical/structural cause for your symptoms, it could be due to how your body perceive sensory stimulus. It also doesn’t mean you are making things up.
If you find this debilitating, you may have to consult a neurologist with specialist interest in diagnosing functional disorders. You can ask around to see if such neurologist exists in Nigeria.

Best wishes

Thank you doctor, will look out for neurologist who is specialise that area, hopefully I find one.once again I appreciate

The fact is that the first time i noticed it i resorted to using condom still it re-occured when i asked my friend who is a nurse, he said it was as a result of her body system, that any contact of the semen to her body will result to pregnancy. I felt bad and decided to contact the professionals here before visiting any Hospital. Thanks for taking your time.

Hi,
My advice will still remain the same as the one you attached. Every suspected STI needs full sexual health screen including taking swabs for gonorrhoea (especially to check for treatment resistance). Also from a medico-legal point of view, you would need to inform any other sexual partners and the need for them to be treated.
Regarding the urine issue with flow, you didn’t say how old you are ?. Could this be your prostate?. Things that point to prostate problems are poor flow, post void dribble, incontinence, hesitancy, increased frequency, blood in urine (haematuria).
....Good evening doc..I went for urethral swab and it came out negative..the lab attendant asked me to do urinalysis and I declined since the doctor I saw at general hospital only wrote urethral swab..But since the first time I saw the pus when I was pooping, i have not seen it again..does that mean that my immune system has gotten rid of it??..or should I still do the urinalysis??

Hi,
If you don’t see the pus anymore it could be that your body fought it. It however doesn’t mean it has gone away forever. It probably would be a good idea to do a urine culture that also looks for STI organisms. You only mentioned having a urethral swab, did you get a swab of the pus itself? Or you just had a swab of the urethral meatus?

..just a swab of the urethral meatus..the pus was no where to be found during the test..even after pressing my dick for some time..

Sure. You just need to screen for every other STI. This test result means you less likely don’t have Gonorrhoea or chlamydia which this test shows. As long as the lab is a reputable one. Also try to blur out your patient confidentiality information when next you uploading a document. All the best.

Could be the muscles there as you rightly said, the muscles there are sternocleidomastoid And trapezius. but there are deeper ones like crico-pharyngeus, omohyoid etc and your symptoms could be a pouch somewhere there. Keep in touch as you planned.
Kind regard

Hello!

Hope you're having a lovely day?

The ENT diagnosed me with Pharyngitis and gave me some antibiotics and anti inflammatory pills. I've used the whole pack and I can't even say I feel better or I feel worse. The lump feeling comes and goes now but the slight pain when I swallow is still there and sometimes I feel pain in my ears. That's why I can't term in progress
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Ayodeji96: 1:56pm On Aug 17, 2020
Hi! Thanks for reaching out. The feeling lump isn't something I can feel by touch,it's more like having something lodged in your throat. It doesn't affect my every day life but it's very uncomfortable. I've seen the ENT tho and I was given some drugs but I can't say I feel any better or worse.
AmbulatoryMedic:

Hi
Feeling of lump in throat is not an uncommon symptom. It could be caused by simple lymph nodes inflammation due to viral infection to thyroid problems or even issues lower down the oesophagus. It sounds unlikely to be cancer based on your age and absence of other risk factors (you haven’t mentioned any other symptoms, so I assume nothing else).
You probably will need a full throat exam for starters

Yes, you're right.
There should be a minimum of 4weeks between the first and second doses.
Confirm if there's no error in calculating the date given to you, as 17th of August should be the exact date.
Though they can argue a week difference does not significantly matter, but protocols should be obeyed.
Hello sir. Good morning. I went on the 17th August, that's yesterday for the second shot like you advised. The lady at the Primary health centre said I should come back on the 21st September for the third. When do you think is advisable to go for the third and final shot, sir?

The standard 3-dose regimen is given at 0 month(now), 1month after 1st dose, and 6months after 1st dose.
And the minimum interval has to be met for maximum effectiveness.
I don't know where the person giving it to you got his/her own regimen from.

The 3rd dose should be on Jan 17, 2021(6months from the first dose).
Anything from the 4th month(Nov 17) can be accepted, but definitely not Sep 21.

Tell them you want to have a test done to show or confirm egg of S. haematobium or even any of the S. species.
Preferably, Urine or faecal culture for the parasitic eggs. Usually microscopy. Easy!

A blood test may be done on your white blood cells for increase levels of eosinophils and basophils and a rapid urinalysis to rule out other causes. A confirm serologic test can be done in our Microbiology unit, Pathology in University teaching hospital.

Please see doctor for further help whether result is positive for S. haematobium or not should symptoms continues.
