Akwa Ibom suffering it shows we need to more private sector growth in economy this civil civil life is no good. Hopefully the industrial city, port and general industrialization policy kicks off soon.

Does anyone find it interesting NE has lower poverty rate than NW?

regional breakdown

1.) SW-19.3%
2.) SS-25.2%
3.) SE-27.4%
4.) NC- 42.6%
5.) NE-76.8%
6.) NW-81.1%
There is nothing like regional breakdown, every state for themselves, nigeria is not currently practicing regionalism

Anambra propaganda machinery is on overdrive dude. Dem go don begin flood U.N with enough petitions in protest against this report's conclusions. No be so Soludo recently out-of-nowhere claimed the state has the '4th' largest economy? This report is obviously a big blow to their collective ego. You never see anything. grin grin grin grin

This report has been around for a while though. It's no news. Sadly, we don't really cite it when these ipob thugs start throwing numbers around.

Even in Lagos, if any humanitarian starts distributing free rice people will queue to collect, it's free now who doesn't like free things, it's not a measure of poverty.

The South West Has always been The most Prosperous region of Nigeria since like day 1.
And It looks like it isn't relinquishing that position anytime soon.

That is why it has always been a magnet for Nigerians from everywhere. Even in an hinterland Yoruba state like Osun, you would marvel at the diversity of Nigerians from everywhere living there, from Ibo 2 by 2 shopkeepers to Urhobo palm oil workers, to Ebira and Idoma (Agatu) farmers, to Hausa petty traders to Edo civil servants, to Ibibio domestic workers. It is even more magnified in places like Ibadan, Ondo, Ogun and Lagos.

(respect to all the hardworking groups above)
You people can chest beat a lot under Nigeria umbrella, with all this, why is it that your people are so scared of self determination.

Maybe it is comments like the quoted one below (from a research and article done by an Igboman cheesy ) about an Awka based Nurse lamenting over acute hunger in Anambra state could be a pointer to the U.N conclusions. Those 'brown-roof' dwellers are obviously less hungry than your people. cheesy Ndo. The erosion ravaging the entire state (as the one idemili one in the attached pix) sure isn't helping matters. cheesy

THE wife of Osun State governor, Mrs Sherifat Aregbesola, has described the highest prevalence of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the state as worrisome, contending that sensitisation and awareness campaign must be stepped up to stop the practice.

2017 Flogging Competition In Ipetu-ijesha, Osun State

The 2017 edition of beating competition took place at Ipetu-Ijesha today 4th of March among two notable streets namely “Odoise” and Ifofin.

Each street has a representative(competitor), the representatives came out and started beating themselves in turns.

The more a participant could withstand a particular beating session, the higher the points earned by such participant.

Whichever street that won will be given a price from the king.

Amiloaded correspondent was at the event, and had a short interview section with the two representatives from each street. The participants claimed they feel no pain during the event.

Check out some pictures below of the beating competition

Hunger just dey everywhere for Nigeria.

No wonder a state governor took it upon himself to share sachets of rice and 200 naira to his subjects even though he is the one contributing to the hunger by not paying salaries.

Even pets are now used as food.
