Trust me, as an Anambra man, I use to think this way until I needed to move up to a certain level. Some transactions in the US are not done with cash or debit card even conmon LAX AIRPORT car rental, go make enquiries. They only accept credit card. Have good credit limit but dont use much, it helps to make you.

That's true you must have a valid stay or indefinite leave to remain before you can be eligible for the loan. But people with EU passport are eligible as of now because article 50 is not fully in process yet.

Yeah some Nigeria men here still go back home to get married. Few years ago the smart one will come do sham marriage to get stay then few years later they are free and they can get same benefit as citizens

Going uni in UK is expensive but you can get student loan when u finished you pay it back on the condition that you must be earning £30k or more a year you'll be paying back just 2% I think of your loan and after 30yrs it is write off. Secondly you need God credit rating to get anything like mortgage car etc so you buy stuff and pay instalmentaly imagine living in a house for 10 yrs paying rent to land Lord but you can get mortgage from bank live in the same house and the rent is seen as your loan payment. Best deal is finance car cause you can return it back and get another latest one.

i had a friend who took out a £10k loan after his studies. A non uk citizen and no ilr status. How he did it..i dont know till date. Maybe he obtained fraudulenlty cos he migrated to australia not about 2months after the loan was disbursed.

You dont need Gods credit rating to get a mortgae or car in some other parts of the world. I have 2 friends who got a mortgage in canada a year after their arrival into the country. Its easier to obtain credit in some countries than others.
Also, to be honest...obaiting stuff on credit is not good as the banks make money off you, but its just the way the system has been developed. Not many people can pay cash down for cars or houses. Banks are ran like mafias. When they have problems, government bail them out, when they are running good, they are shylocks. When you refinance a car, you the consumer loss out not the bank or the auto dealer. They both work together to maximize profit of you.lol
