The head on which coconut is broken never eats from that coconut. 3 Million lives never do. It's 50 years later and another set of millions must fall again. 9 Likes 1 Share |

attackgat: Absolutely nothing would have been gained. 'They' will ignore that though as it doesn't fit their narrative. As for Ojukwu, may his soul rest in peace. The man did something that not many Igbo leaders are willing to do in this day and age, even if he was a bit naïve at times. 1 Like |

tooth4tooth: You say this but just think of how many people from across the country have died for 'Nigerian unity', and by that I mean 'keeping Nigeria as corrupt and immoral as possible so that the elite can steal (literally and figuratively speaking) food from the mouths of the poor'. It would probably exceed the number of people who died in the Biafran war. Deaths from inadequate healthcare alone should be in the millions by now. Haven't your leaders sacrificed you and your people in this way? 1 Like |

Ngozi123: Had ojukwu stayed and fought till the end and died in war ,he would have died a martyr and people would have seen him as a true hero and it would have fuelled a greater desire for biafra . If not for nnamdi kanu, the desire for biafra died in 1970. Another issue is the nature of his escape . Try and read Philip effiongs account of this. Finally, he really shouldn't have contested to be president of Nigeria. All in all , Thanks to nnamdi for reviving the movement . I'm yoruba but I can say without prejudice that the igbos are marginalized for the simple reason that an igbo man or woman will never ever be president of Nigeria while we have 19 northern states. The best bet is for an igbo man or woman to be vp then the yaradua situation happens. That's why I now support biafra for the igbos. However, ojukwu wasn't a hero or icon. 3 Likes |

attackgat:As a general, he should have stayed back. It's like seeing a ship captain abandon his ship. In Japan, Samurais and war Generals would perform a feat called Seppuku, a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. The Seppuku takes place when a Samurai or a General fails and while Ojukwu was never Japanese, fleeing was the height of cowardice after sacrificing two million potential young lives while he took his children with him to Abidjan. At the end of the day, the near three million deaths were for nothing because the same man responsible for their deaths returned to the country a Nigerian and even contested for the Presidency. Calling Ojukwu a coward is an insult to true cowards. 18 Likes |

Lol..Kanu is about to do the same shi.t to these MF senseless ipods. As usual the knuckle heads will brag and say 'this is not 19 blah blah..this is 2017'..we are ready for them. They will never learn. I don't know how some people can be so stupidly heartless and wicked. Because you have no hope of making it in life, you want to intentionally create trouble and push millions of your tribesmen in misery so that all the successful ones can go back to square one like you.
