Phones5 Battery Killing Mistakes We Make Daily by 3mmyz(op): 5:06pm On Oct 08, 2016
I'm writing this post to tackle the mistakes we make while using our Smartphones daily.

The features of our Smartphones wouldn't let us leave it for an hour without trying to delve into something fun or conventional. The batteries in our cell phones are the highest specs we wish and hope for - The bigger the milliamp hours, the bigger the lasting power.

When it comes to lasting batteries, we always and will always want to lay our hands on such devices. Devices like the Tecno L8 and L6 comes with monster battery capacity: but if your Smartphone comes with an average battery capacity, there are still ways to improve its capacity.

1. Turning On Wi-Fi Hotspot

When browsing the web, most of us intentionally or unintentionally switch on our Wi-Fi hotspot without spotting the battery logging. It's a great battery drainer especially if there's no device (s) connected to it.
And also turn off your WiFi network !!! only turn it on when there's a WiFi network available in your area.

2. GPS

Switching off your device location on your device would greatly reserve your battery's life. Most apps requires GPS location to be turned on for application access, try restricting them once in a while to save your battery and also extend its life cycle.

3. Screen Brightness

Apart from draining your vision (eyes) with excessive bright screen light. Increasing your phone's screen light to maximum can drastically reduce your battery's life.

Try setting screen's brightness to auto or middle to save your eyes & vision. Also trying scheduling the screen timeout from 30 seconds to a minute to increase battery life and duration.

4. Charging

Okay, most of us usually make this mistake when it comes to charging our devices.
When using your device, do not let your battery's power drain constantly to 5 or 0 percent all the time. Sometimes full draining of the battery causes swelling and also reduces the battery life cycle - i bet you never knew!

And always ensure 100% full charge of your battery before unplugging, leave your device 20 minutes after 100% charge.

5. Background Apps Activities

The activities of our devices in background drains our battery faster than activities in foreground.

How huh

When you receive messages from WhatsApp while reading this article, it certainly means that WhatsApp is running on your device background while GKlited is on its foreground.

Try to stop background processes.
On Android, go to Developer options >> scroll to the bottom, under Apps >>> press Background
process limit >>> set to any number of your choice.
For Android devices from 4.4 KitKat , press build number for ten times to open developers option.

FamilyRe: I’m 37, But My Dad Still Beats My Mom. Should I Tackle Him? by 3mmyz(m): 11:07am On Sep 25, 2016
Beating a woman, especially your wife is termed a domestic abused.

kindly advise your dad, give him reasons why he should stop hitting his wife. If he continues, report him to the police; he would see your seriousness in making the family united.
he should show undoubting affections towards her and expect nothing more.

and for your mum: women can be very annoying - but that's their default settings!

Tell her to behave like a wife and not a chick
Tell her to be quiet and see positive results
Tell her if she continues, you would ban them from visiting your home.
just try and bring them together with carefully chosen words.

PhonesYahoo Gets Hacked, Looses 500 Million Accounts To Hackers by 3mmyz(op): 11:10pm On Sep 24, 2016
Yahoo admits that about 500 million accounts on its network where infiltrated by hackers in late 2014.

The is the biggest data breach to date
Information like date of birth, hash passwords, payment account and other important information where stolen.

Read their full statement below :

We are writing to inform you about a data security issue that may involve your Yahoo account information.

What Happened?

A recent investigation by Yahoo has confirmed that a copy of certain user account information was stolen from our systems in late 2014 by what we believe is a state-sponsored actor.
We are closely coordinating with law enforcement on this matter and working diligently to protect you.
What Information Was Involved?

The stolen user account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (the vast majority with bcrypt) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers. Not all of these data elements may have been present for your account.

The ongoing investigation suggests that stolen information did not include unprotected passwords, payment card data, or bank account information; payment card data and bank account information are not stored in the system that the investigation found to be affected.

What We Are Doing

We are taking action to protect our users:

We are asking potentially affected users to promptly change their passwords and adopt alternate means of account verification.

We invalidated unencrypted security questions and answers so they cannot be used to access an account.

We are recommending that all users who haven't changed their passwords since 2014 do so.

We continue to enhance our systems that detect and prevent unauthorized access to user accounts.

We are working closely with law enforcement on this matter.
Our investigation into this matter continues.

What You Can Do

We encourage you to follow these security recommendations:

Change your password and security questions for any other accounts on which you used the same or similar information used for your Yahoo account.
Review your accounts for suspicious activity.

Be cautious of any unsolicited communications that ask for your personal information or refer you to a web page asking for personal information.
Avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails.

Additionally, please consider using Yahoo Account Key, a simple authentication tool that eliminates the need to use a password altogether.

For More Information

For more information about this issue and our security resources, please visit the
Yahoo Security Issue FAQs page available at https://yahoo.com/security-update.

Protecting your information is important to us and we work continuously to strengthen our defenses against the threats targeting our industry.
Sincerely,
Bob Lord
Chief Information Security Officer

Phones5 Things Nigerians Hate About Twitter by 3mmyz(op): 9:58am On Sep 22, 2016
Twitter is a Social Media website and a micro-blogging platform where Companies, Individuals (Techpreneurs, Bloggers, Public figures, Celebrities, etc.) from various works of life come to meet and interact to achieve a purpose either for business, news/ trends, gossips, relationship, etc.

A Research was conducted and the results stated that The total number of people with Internet access in Nigeria are over 80 Million despite the country's poor ICT Structure for better internet communications, more than half of those Internet users have one or more accounts on Facebook than on twitter.

Whyhuh

I'll be listing my personal take on why Most Nigerians Neglect Twitter for Facebook and others.

1. Twitter is limited to 140 characters, Nigerians love to explain further like 500 - 1000 words: from long jokes to longer news, we love ambiguity.

2. Twitter doesn't Encourage much Chatting, Nigerians love to chat, chitchat, long chat and all kinds of chats, just give them a panel where they can see who is online and who's not, and you will be Marvelled with the way they'll welcome it.

3. Twitter isn't into Relationship stuffs, You can't know the Relationship status of person by viewing his profile on Twitter except he/she flaunts it on the Name Tag like e.g married for life @emmyz_ and so fort.

4. The Hash Thing,
Hashtag like #Youngirl #DansukiGate, etc. are not the Nigerian way of Trending things, Nigerians prefer Groups, or mutual trends for news and update.

5. Twitter doesn't support the Open World Relativity, you can't see interesting groups updates about school, club, organisation, hobby on twitter like on facebook, everything looks too pro for us.

Twitter should try and adapt a more friendly feature to attract more Nigerians to their domain.

Actually, I did the same thing myself, then said, "What the Hell?" and stripped it off. I don't care if somebody wants a look at my ugly mug, while I'm online.

I always browse with my clothes on.

MARK ZUCKERBURG does have valid cause to fear for his life- so he dare not be careless with information as to his location. There could be hundreds of Hackers tapped into his laptop any time he goes online- just because they can do that.

Whereas, any one of them could be part of a gang that aims to "OCEAN 419" kidnap his jive White ass, and hold him to ransom for $500 million.

There are a lot of desperate people who would want a piece of that action.

It is so cute that you think that these things are significant.

It's MY number, and I can do whatever I want with it, thank you.

13-year olds please take note!

Those who were born yesterday, take note, so that when you are old enough to go online, you now know what not to do!

Can you name any of those people who were kidnapped for letting their work information go public?

Why do you feel you have to propagate paranoia?

How many people will actually be in danger from people knowing where they work?

Nobody criminal cares about where most people work.

Again, unless you are a member of a Ninja Cult, or you Selfied yourself next to a Methamphetamine Cooker, you should have no reason to withhold your Home Address. Everybody on your street can see your house. They know who lives there. NOBODY GIVES A SHIT.

Unless you are a CRIMINAL, nobody needs this in formation.

Who the HELL do you think you are TALKING to- Preteens?

Who are you to tell people what they want or don't want?

Why would you hide your date-of-birth- unless you want to lie about your age.

Why would an honest person want to do that?

Phones5 Things You Shouldn't Share On Facebook by 3mmyz(op): 3:00pm On Sep 20, 2016
It's quite brief and very alerting to those of us that are very open to social media and aren't concerned or disturbed by what we share regularly.

I'm quite of an open person, but very streaked when it comes to guarding my space. I detest it when people rudely intrude my privacy without giving it a second thought, people should be given spaces and also create spaces for themselves to prevent outlookers (pokers).

I once shared a photo on this blog about Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg covering his cam and microphone jack with a tape!!! <Click to see >>http://gklited..co.id/2016/06/photo-of-facebook-mark-zuckerberg.html?m=1> that's should give you brain tickle on why you ought to guard your Info on Facebook by sharing non private data online.

The 5 Do nots For Facebook :

1. PHONE NUMBER OR E-mail:

If it's your mobile phone number, i see no reasons on why you should share your contacts on Facebook with the public.
Prank callers, stalkers, identity fakers, email spammers and contacts seekers could seek to exploit you with such advantage by doing all sorts of things to ridicule your social and personal circle.
If you love talking/mailing to friends on Facebook, try restricting your contact info to friends, school colleagues or only friends of friends, it will minimize vulnerability if your friends are somewhat trustworthy.

2. WORKPLACE:

Why on earth would you want to share your work information if you love privacy and fear Kidnappers. It's scary but they have been cases of people being kidnapped for letting their jobs life go public without proper caution. If it's not a Facebook Page don't share, except you're a public figure.
Next time you think of sharing your workplace, think again.

3. HOME ADDRESS:

No one would love surprise visits from unknown or untold guests, especially if you stay with your parents or otherwise.
I hate surprise visits and so would some of y'all, except sanguine ! To halt such visits, make sure you never share your home address(es) on Facebook except otherwise.
Who knows whether poachers are looking for who to visit!!! Don't be a victim.

4. RELATIONSHIP STATUS OR INTEREST :

If you're married or single, it should stay private, except you don't want poachers trying to sway you to their tune - try keeping it private.
If you are interested in Women or Men it should stay private, except you wanna get hooked up or do something like that.

5. YOUR BIRTHDAY

I actually mean the date like 1989... 1993... everyone loves good birthday wishes. If you don't like amebor analysts crawling your profile for your age information, make it private or restricted to your circle of friends, classmates and families who you trust.

You are worse than the rapist. Trading your sister and the little girls happiness because of what people would say?
If say I know you, I for come slap you or organize boys to beat you up for real.

You want meaningful advice? Oya leave them, build another house for the man, renew his and your sisters wedding vows and then get an even younger neice for him to rape again. Then beat her up very well like you did the first one when she manages to come clean about her abuse.

See how you blame the little girl already for the cause of the divorce? Too blind to see that it's the mans actions that caused the divorce rather you are seeing the little victim as the cause of her own rape and destruction the dirty marriage.
Why the harsh words? He had only hit her to bring up the truth! you should know it's quite hard for a child to tell such painful tales to her elders because of fear, rather than blaming the worried brother give him an advise.
CrimeRe: I Am In A Dilema - Help Please! by 3mmyz(m): 10:16am On Sep 20, 2016
Let me take my time...

This is a very serious issue.
A man with four children to sleep with his wife's niece of 10 years old, I'd take it that he is very unreasonable and untrustworthy. Getting him arrested might get him jailed for molesting a minor of ten, he has ruin her life with his act and she will forever be hateful to men if no justice is done, He should be taught a lesson. For his wife it's very disheartening to see such things happen - she should do a heavy rethink before going through the divorce, considering her children.
It's hard to forgive but it's worth the try, I'm speaking from experience though.

PhonesStop Using Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Now by 3mmyz(op): 6:52pm On Sep 11, 2016
Samsung has insisted that users of Galaxy Note 7 should stop using the device and should exchange for another Samsung product of their choice or get a refund. There has been over 30 cases of Samsung Note 7 explosions recently and deep concerns have been raised about users safety.

Samsung has solely taken due responsibility by informing some users through emails and blogs that they risk injuries if they don't exchange their devices early. Most Samsung users who were affected by the incidents have angrily expressed their discomforts and cited that the device has cost them deep loss due to umpteenth fulmination.

You are also advised to turn off Note 7 when next you visit an airport, as it may blast while you're on the "plane" - as advised by US airlines. The explosion is caused by Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 lithium battery. We don't know what they were thinking when they mistakingly produce a portable bomb in a case of battery, but ensure you power down your device before you start swapping.

So if you are currently having a Galaxy Note 7 time bomb, please ensure you visit any Samsung outlet near you to avoid stories that touch.

Computers10 Proven Tips In Protecting Your Privacy And Computer From Crackers by 3mmyz(op): 1:46pm On Sep 10, 2016
Being security conscious is a very vital aspect of computer protection techniques, we seriously advise you practice the listed steps taken to secure yourself from vulnerable attacks from adware, malware, spyware and other cyber attacks.
Crackers are privacy breakers who steal valuable and concise information from computer users for exploitation, they sometimes use this as a blackmail tool to source money from affected users.
There are many smart devices in today's world from Tablets, Phablets, PCs, Smart TV, and advanced gadgets most of which are mostly vulnerable to attacks from crackers.

There have been many cases of privacy violation, government information leakage, websites been hacked because of the constant increase in the demand for stronger security.
Manufacturers of Softwares and Computers has Increased the demand for users to upgrade their computers to avoid flaws that would lead to privacy and computer damage (loss of files due to virus), The proven solution is to downloading flaw patches that will help one guide his system without vulnerabilities.
Apart from upgrading the computer to fix bugs or flaws that'll enable penetration, the user should be conscious about his own cyber safety, howhuh

1. Download Application (softwares and games) from their respective websites :
Some Apps downloaded from third-party websites are sometimes modified, and might contain malicious code for infiltration.
Stay away from cracked apps, most cracked apps are tools for hacking the users who use them.

2. Clear Cache and Cookies Seldomly:
Don't always leave traces of your histories floating on the internet, clearing c&c will reduce tracking from crackers.

3. Read the Permissions usage before installation: some Android users are guilty of this, Some apps use your Mobile hardware without you noticing, like using face camera, retrieving and sending data over the internet, deleting contents of your drive and so on. Try using a Permission manager to checkmate your apps.

4. E-mail Spamming: Ensure you read emails vividly before clicking on them, some messages are
automatically moved to spammed folders where you can send them to trash or review them if they were filtered wrongly, others come normally telling you things like you won $1m click the link, the truth is that you never signed up for that.
Millions of people get duped yearly and some messages can be very catchy please don't fall for it.

5. Protect your devices with antivirus softwares: They are thousands of malicious softwares out there carrying very destructive codes used to infect your system. They are countless types of viruses like trojan horse, adware, spyware, malware, hacktool virus for Apps, Batch virus and many more. Use Strong antivirus software like Windows defender for windows OS, McAfee, Kapersky , 360 antivirus, AVG, Avira, Comodo security, etc.
to protect your pc.
Don't use more than one Antivirus software, it's might brick your device.

6. Monitoring your Devices: Your PC and your Mobile (may be android) are still vulnerable to attacks even if guarded by a knight antivirus. You as a user should limit collection of files from external devices and strictly monitor your files being collected from a person.

7. Avoid too much plugins on your browsers:
From Savefrom.net plugins to monkeyhacks, please limit plugins, especially if you use Mozilla firefox older version for surfing. Some plugins comes with ads that'll cover your total screen with extreme annoying contents. They also comes with viruses that are harmful to computers and also used as hacktool .

8. Use a VPN service for business dealings or privacy:
Please use VPN (virtual private network) softwares for doing various transactions when you're online doing very serious business. Ensure you use renowned VPN services when accessing the internet, e.g Hotspot shield, Hide me VPN, OperaVPN and others are trusted VPN programs out there. If you can't afford such VPN programs try using Anonymous mode for browsing, it doesn't leave trace of your browsing activities.

9. Avoid Manipulation:
A lot of us love rooting & skinpacking, i love it too but not most of the times. Too much tweaking can make your device vulnerable to attacks and sometimes damage your device. Please tweak with care !

10. Try reconfiguring default settings: some settings might just be the manufacturers way of bloating you(bloat ware), try changing network settings, autorun, default players, etc.
You can also disable location services to prevent monitoring.

The above steps will surely help secure your activities online and offline and keep you safe from crackers who seek to exploit you.
